You are very brave, you did so well standing up to those weather conditions. The fact that you didn't see anyone else during your trip is testament to how hard it was in the area.
Winds and rain, a tent that fought you at every opportunity, wet cloths, and non passable routes. How would that manage to dampen anybody's spirits? and yet you still manage to keep going on and on, and smiling all through. That's the guts and determination that put this country on the map, it's a pity we don't have many more like you left now. Full respect to you Clare.👍

Total respect to you. What a video. Obviously the scenery is amazing, but your resilience to all that nature has to throw at you is just off the scale. Thank you for making and posting the video. Take care on your adventures, you are truly inspirational. All the best. 👍
Wonderful and absorbing videos from the queen of the great outdoors. You can not better the feeling of taking on Mother Nature and coming out on top of at the least not Buckling Under.❤

The combination of the challenge, scenery, positive approach to everything and top quality filming and editing makes these videos a must see. Thank you for all the work that goes into producing these, for taking us along and truly sharing it all with each of us, it is a joy to come along and be with you and at the same time experience the solitude. Thank you
Just when I'm anxious with my wifes health problems you released one of your vlogs 😀 thanks for the journey claire I really enjoyed that, and I feel much better now 💗
I bet later in your life you will look back with awe and think did I do that. You have and are making memories to look back on, be safe and tread careful. I understand tent weight is a lot to carry is why you take a light weight one, you are a remarkable person.
Wow, this was exhilarating to watch, and I could almost feel your struggles at times! You are an absolute legend, and your channel is one of my favourites as well, for the same reasons that others have mentioned. You tell it like it is, you are about the experience and not the "best gear etc", and you are positive no matter what. I love how you focus on safety too, as it is essential for us out in the wilderness areas! We have some similar conditions here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 and I have a solid little four season tent that I love! I stay warm enough in mid winter here. 😊 I like how natural and down to earth you are as you chat, and you have a wonderful knack of drawing us into the experience with you. 👍🏾 Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your nest next forays into the wild. 💖
This was downright heroic. In those conditions and alone. You're very brave and intrepid. I know that wonderful feeling of having faced challenges of terrain, navigation and weather, and having completed the hike, enjoying the solitude. I do it regularly here in the Swiss Alps. It gives you a great sense of peace, fulfilment and wholesome self-esteem. There are not so many people like you who embrace solitude in wild places. Seize the day!!
.....I'm watching these all out of sequence, but my respect for you needing space and obvious 'You Time', is growing with every personal adventure. 😎☯️
You are so right, we should be filled with gratitude that we are here to be able to appreciate the cycles of life which are filled with many imperfections. The challenges you met on your expedition to the lake were imperfections that gave you a sense of achievement when you overcame them. It is great to see your open and honest account of what must have been a very tough trip in that harsh wind and rain. The production of your videos is so professional, and natural, thank you for sharing here in UA-cam!
Hi John! Thanks so much for your lovely words, I'm so glad you enjoyed this :) Yep I'm still learning to appreciate the cycles.. it's so easy to get all caught up in the harder parts and forget that nothing lasts forever and that we are more resilient than we sometimes believe. It was a hard trip for sure, but as you said, harder ones can feel like quite an accomplishment haha! And they deffo stay with you. Thank you for watching my lil vid and hope you're having a nice week :) Claire 🐻
Your outro on this fits the context of your video so very well ……there are some who post and I am vaguely drawn to watch ….there are 5 who I actively seek out , you are one of those. Thanks so much for the quality of your content and the empathy and humanity you show and demonstrate xx
Claire, I thoroughly enjoyed this video! 100% you took a beating, and you took it like a complete champ. Your character is totally next level. And how you wake up always appearing refreshed is beyond me. I'm looking forward to the next WildBeare adventure! Very inspiring.
The bravest thing among hiking where are no paths, camping in high storms and being outside in the rain all day is your open mane in these strong winds. It would drive me absolutely crazy!!!! Getting it in my mouth and eyes and ears all the time, not be able to see properly. Wow!!!
Now that was a proper adventure, crossing that sort of terrain is hard enough without wind and rain. Especially when it's that waterlogged. The sort of time when my camera gets put away while I concentrate on not falling on my face every two steps, yet you manage to get such good images and stay positive. I really like the way you cut your audio across clips, really adds something to the videos you make.
i liked your closing statement about cycles and living within them and being grateful, not tolerant. I don't talk to many people these days, but that's a thought i've had on my own. Wasn't sure if that was reasonable or just some madness i came up with. Hearing it from someone else, it in fact sounds entirely reasonable and it's nice to know there are others who think similarly. Thank you for that.
Weathering the storm Claire is very comparable to weathering life, you are so inspiring. You have proved once again that pushing your comfort zone will make you so much stronger in life and that when you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything, you are a trooper! 😘💖
Aw thank you Nicholas for the kind words! Yeh I think it is too. They are hard these kinda ones but I find them fulfilling in a way.. hope you have a nice weekend :) Claire 🐻
A great weekend hike. The weather has certainly turned in the UK and I've had those boggy hikes in the Peaks. My hiking buddy went in past her knee and only falling forward stopped her from going down further. I've pushed my treking pole into a bottomless bog too so I know the feeling. But the take from this is your sheer grit and determination to succeed. I'm the nutter who stands on the edge too. I'm glad you have an Inreach. After 4 years working at the Rescue Coordination Centre outside Edinburgh (responsible from all rescue Coordination from 52:30N and above) 79-83 we would have loved this technology to help fallen or lost hikers. It's great that you take these precautions seriously. Well done Claire, great weekend and beautiful night sky as always. That to me is the icing on the cake.
Another superb video! I just don’t know how you do it 🤯 I really struggle to make anything watchable in the wind and rain 😩 I hope everyone appreciates just how hard it is to make a video this good 👏
Thanks so much, really appreciate this as this was extremely hard to film 😄 I had a 5 minute window to use the drone during the whole weekend and it was impossible to use a tripod unless it was weighed down with a load of gear haha.. thank god for GoPros! Happy Friday to you 🤗🌿🐻

I was up there the same time as you, if I’d have known you had the kettle on I’d have popped over 🤣🤣🤣 tough going with the wind and water wasn’t it? I walked from my house, in the next valley, up there, as you said, not many people up there, it was beautiful. Your gear did well, I struggled to dry my kit a couple of times. Thanks as always for your great videos covering my home stomping grounds as well as the other great places you go 😊👍🏽♥️⛺️

Hi Claire, tis Irish Bob saying hello.😇🤗😎🍀 I must say: you're a tenacious, and spirited Lass. Love the fact that you make the most out of every occasion. Whether things go smoothly, or when it feels like the devil is nipping at your heels. The fact that your end commentary echoes that you face life and circumstance head on is commendable.. One cannot control our outdoor environment. One can only prepare for possible scenarios that may occur. You are always fine tuning your gear choices and adapt well when the situation is needed.. Love the evening sky shots and how colorful your trip had been. Respect of your environment and situation are lessons to learn from , and evolve. Stay🏋️Stay🩺Stay Real, and Stay True. Irish Bob is such a fan of yours Lass😇🤗😎🍀 Notice your subscriber numbers are increasing which, is awesome and deserved.
Dear girl, your positive spirit against nature's adversities, (either by choice or circumstance) is beautiful to behold. Wind-sweeped-hair; as free spirited as the wild and wonderful Welsh mountain hare that lives there , hahahahahaha, perhaps more a mountain goat cos you definitely have the tenacity! Which ever way, I enjoyed your enthusiasm and love for nature in all its forms. PS I've done some yomping in the past and know wet socks are the worst!! Love ya stuff 👍
Whoa, now that was definitely some brutal windy weather Claire! I kept waiting for your Lanshan to fly away, haha ;) That sunset was absolutely stunning though! It's just like you said about everything running in cycles there at the end of the video. Anyhow, I hope that the rest of your week is amazing my friend :) Stay wild (and perfect).... -John
Beautfull video Almost a four season walk in one day . I have very similar conditions on the Moors near me its so easy to get caught out especially this time of year as rain can easily turn into snow and a white out as you get enveloped by clouds at higher altitudes . These videos brings back memories and feeling of the way the sunsets feels as the little heat of the sun is taken away and it sinks below the horizon then the smell of cold creeps up on you permeating through every fiber of your being . We have lost something in modern life and you can see why our ancestors tracked the seasons and watched the precession of the stars as we hurtle through space on the back of a speck of dust .
Managing this trip under these bad conditions, nevertheless staying peaceful, smiling, seeing the beauty of nature, is a true inspiration itself. Sleeping in the tiny weak looking tent alone in the dark with strong winds shaking everything must've been quite a challenge. You're really a brave one - but additionally being able to deliver such HQ video is absolutely amazing. Unbelievable. 👍👏 Take good care and all the best
Hi, oh when I think about my girlfriend many years ago. I tried to convince her to spend the night in a tent on our next bicycle trip. The test... Best weather conditions in my garden. She heard something (I not), cried and screamed and ran away in panic! What a difference to you. Someone like you would have been a dream for me! Greatings
I cannot believe how fast the weather goes from downpour, to sunbeam sunsets, to showers, stars, back to rain, back to blue sky. But it's beautiful! And yeah, your spirit of adventure and come-what-may is infectious. I've been "out there" in the weather, and at my comfortable place in life, am happy to let you enjoy the conditions, watching from my cozy, warm, and coddling armchair. Safe travels!
I do enjoy watching your endeavours, I go all over the Scottish hills and like you it doesn’t always go quite to plan. It’s good to know I’m not the only one who enjoys the wilderness in the most appalling wether. Keep going and stay dry.
Great vid and can relate to the learning feeling. I am 62 and my camping started when I my parents took me to Wales at age 18 mths!. Since then I have travelled far and camped a lot in Europe and trekked and climbed in Nepal. Now I motorcycle camp and still today am learning. 2 weeks ago I wildcamped in the Mennock pass in Scotland in my Alpkit Tarpstar and the wind was so ferocious and actually snapped my tarp pole so was game over. I should have taken one of my geodesic tents but hey ho you live and learn. The thing is to learn and return and see the learning as a challenge as you said and makes you a fuller person. Keep up the vids. Great viewing.
Thank you. You have taken me back. Spent a night in the Carnedds and when we woke up (after hardly sleeping all night due to the wind) and got out of the tent, we found that the outer had been shredded to ribbons and was wrapped around the ridge pole. What a night! What a place! Wonderful.
Last saw you stealth camping in a tiny wood, evading detection........now.......not a person to be seen..or heard ..So good. Found a tiny, chargeable hanging light/ mozzie zapper tother day. Empty tent in 5 minutes. Can't recommend it enough. . Omg the wind .......Respects from NZ.

How would that manage to dampen anybody's spirits? and yet you still manage to keep going on and on, and smiling all through. That's the guts and determination that put this country on the map, it's a pity we don't have many more like you left now. Full respect to you Clare.👍
Aw thanks Dave! :D I like a bit of adversity. Although it can get a bit tiring when I get a few in a row like this 😄 Hope you're having a nice week :) Claire
South Wales is my home. Our land is a great place to get away from the noise. Enjoy the peace with a little bit of wild weather thrown in to make you feel alive. Enjoy the moment..
Total respect to you. What a video. Obviously the scenery is amazing, but your resilience to all that nature has to throw at you is just off the scale. Thank you for making and posting the video. Take care on your adventures, you are truly inspirational. All the best. 👍
Thanks so much Paul! It can be fun to be out in all that. Tiring but fun haha. You too, have a great weekend 🤗🌿🐻
Wonderful and absorbing videos from the queen of the great outdoors.
You can not better the feeling of taking on Mother Nature and coming out on top of at the least not Buckling Under.❤
All that weather and still smiling, can't fault your determination or sticking power Claire.
Your production is top notch. Your vibe is infectious. Great combination. A pleasure to be on the planet at the same time with you.
You are a true inspiration, Claire! You met your challenges head on and overcame them. I admire your positivity no matter what comes your way. Keep Shining!!!
Thank you Carla! Happy Friday to you 🤗🌿🐻
Rain on tarp. Such a lovely sound!
That was a battle with that boggy ground. Soon break a leg there 😮
That mountain certainly make you work for your rewards.
Oooh, I’d have been in that forest without a doubt. I love it in amongst the trees.
I doff my cap to you yet again, Claire 👋🏼😉👍🏼
Keep smilin’!
big respect! positive, strong, real spirit. And you are a nice person. Not many do this, alone..
Ur video made me cry, u are such an inspiration to me and I know u probably hear this from people all the time but u really are. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing adventures with us and teaching us, I learn so much from your videos. You are so brave venturing out in the wild all alone in those crazy weather conditions. I can’t wait to see which tent you have chosen for winter ❤
Hello me dear 🥰 Ahh bless you, thank you so much, it's not brave really though, I feel more at home out there than I do in a room full of people 😄 Hope you're having a really lovely week :) 💚
Love this. I live in Snowdonia with my pooch Noah. Thanks for everything. The past is gone and can't be changed. The future is only there to be hoped for, so make the very best of each moment as it comes along. ;-) M
Two nights of not much sleep and hiking through windy rain and bogs.... Yet still looks stunning. Love your positivity ❤️
This is a masterclass in hiking skills, filming and editing skills and philosophy. The music is perfect and goes with the dynamic of the storyline, and the "star" is just bloody wonderful. Well done again Claire. My hat is raised.
Aw, thank you so much Dave, means a lot :D I enjoyed the music for this one. Hope you're having a nice week :) Claire 🐻
Brilliant, and, very wise/true words at the end 👍🏾
The combination of the challenge, scenery, positive approach to everything and top quality filming and editing makes these videos a must see. Thank you for all the work that goes into producing these, for taking us along and truly sharing it all with each of us, it is a joy to come along and be with you and at the same time experience the solitude.
Thank you
Thank you so much, so glad you like them, I love to make them :D have a great weekend 🌿🐻
Thank you for this beautiful video and the wise words. We remain students.
I like how natural and down to earth you are as you chat, and you have a wonderful knack of drawing us into the experience with you. 👍🏾
Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your nest next forays into the wild. 💖
I had no idea that bogs can get so deep! I like how you educate us on hiking safety as you go and ongoing risk assessment. I’m learning a lot!
Seize the day!!
.....I'm watching these all out of sequence, but my
respect for you needing space and obvious 'You Time', is growing with every personal adventure.
Aw thank you so much, I didn't think I looked refreshed at all haha but thank you for the compliment. Hope you have a lovely weekend :D
Thank you, yep it was certainly tough this one! It was hard to film, thank goodness for GoPros 😄 Have a great weekend :) 🌿🐻
i liked your closing statement about cycles and living within them and being grateful, not tolerant.
@@steveallen648 are you alright there Steve? Lol
Happy Friday to you 🤗🌿🐻
I love watching these videos because it makes me want to be more adventurous
What else can be said? You’re awesome! Great video, beautiful camera work, and such a lovely landscape. ✌🏽
Can't sleep. 0300. Watching your video and saw your noodles cooking. Paused the video and got up from my cold den to make myself some as well. It's chilly these days in the higher elevations in Colorado, but stuff like this keeps my spirit warm. You do a great job 'embracing the suck' as we tend to say.
Thank you once again for sharing another great adventure.
You're a very courageous woman and you never let obstacles discourage you. Your trip was beautiful. So glad you were safe and had a wonderful camp. Stay safe and you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure
Hi Terry, aw thank you so much, it was hard, but good if you know what I mean 😄 We don't celebrate thanksgiving here in UK but will start getting Christmassy soon. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving and a lovely weekend :) Claire 🐻
@@WildBeare , Claire I forgot you don't celebrate Thanksgiving but I know you will have beautiful decorations ready for the jolly ole guy. Thank you for sharing your amazing and challenging hike. The scenery you were at was beautiful. It's just me celebrating the holidays. Have a wonderful weekend
Well done!!! Your final words sent tingles up my spine. I too believe life is about Thankfulness, Growing and Learning.
You're gathering yourself some amazing memories Claire. Character building is how to describe this one. And you just keep smiling. Loved it! So glad you ended the trip safely.
Yehh definitely character building this one 😄 Thanks Mally, have a great weekend :) Claire 🐻
"Everything runs in cycles." Amen!
What I love about your videos as a man is that you make genuine videos without looking for that female validation like so many other videos where the ladies are the host do. Knowing that you are attractive and having the confidence in yourself to not need to let that type of behavior creep into your videos is awesome. A breath of fresh air. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. Regards from New Zealand
You were not at all afraid to get wet and be uncomfortable. I admire this.
Claire you ware the look of frustration and even possibly a little anger so well , I know there is a edit process but you still hold your composure so well 😉, hang in there girl you rock !!!😍💞
Thanks as always for your great videos covering my home stomping grounds as well as the other great places you go 😊👍🏽♥️⛺️
Imperfection is perfection - words to live by
Just got back from 2 nights on Dartmoor, I didn’t use my pole in one of the bogs as I was too busy watching my dog, straight down to my knee in mud 😂😂 your channel and you are brilliant Clare, I wished my daughters had the same amazing enthusiasm for the outdoors as you, I took my youngest daughter wild camping years ago and she loved it. Keep em coming 😎😎🍺🥂atb. Tony
Hi Claire, tis Irish Bob saying hello.😇🤗😎🍀
I must say: you're a tenacious, and spirited Lass.
Irish Bob is such a fan of yours Lass😇🤗😎🍀
Notice your subscriber numbers are increasing which, is awesome and deserved.
Thank you! I really needed that today - I miss mountains and wild camping more than i can put into words...... and you gave me a window :)
Love your content, and especially the facial expressions! You cover all your experiences, good and bad and still find humor and some in it.
Thank you
Hi, oh when I think about my girlfriend many years ago. I tried to convince her to spend the night in a tent on our next bicycle trip. The test... Best weather conditions in my garden. She heard something (I not), cried and screamed and ran away in panic! What a difference to you. Someone like you would have been a dream for me! Greatings
I think I saw Pleiades in one of those starry night shots. I love your take on positivity, determination, and resilience. Everything taken in stride.
One tough lady, always pulling through with positivity. Kudos!
Wonderful.
What a cool lady...
Your lust for life and adventure is very uplifting, the videos are so well put together too....
Keep enjoying. 👍🏼
I'm sitting with my mum in a hospice. Bless her. Watching your videos have helped me so much. I love your enthusiasm. Keep up the great work x
Our heroine survives another wild wet one, well done Claire.👍
Love to see you tramping around my back yard of the Moelwyns.
Once again your choice of music is so fitting to the moods of your video.
So well crafted Wildbeare
the most fabulous clip i have ever seen on many beautiful levels! all the kind words written in the comments below are so true. thank you.
