Glitchless in less than 1 hour, that is amazing. I think that Cutall teleport switch press is an intended secret sequence break. The distance, the places and the enemy positioning is way too perfect to be a coincidence. Also I always thought the passage between the Garden and the Clock Tower just didn't make any sense but using that teleport to press the switch it makes sense perfectly to quickly access the clock tower ignoring the long Prison Tower climb, same for the other subterranean area with the Humunculi
Pressing the one-way buttons from the other side is provably a glitch, because it causes cutscenes to break. I'm on board with them being allowed in this category, though
Jupiter. Your play is stunning and your silky verve is amazing. We absolutely adore your style. I wish you continued success and happiness as you continue to utterly decimate every single Castlevania you touch. 🧛🏻♂️ 🩸 🦇
Is it just me or does it sound like Soma's jumps match with the background music? It's like there's a rhythm to his movement. Another great speedrun by Jupiter! It's certainly less painful than IronSoul 😥
Been a fan of this game for years. I remember using nintendo powers mini guide book from a school library to help play. I think one of my favorite souls ever was the perseohone one because the idea of absorbing many projectiles and stealing health with a vaccum cleaner is just hilarious. Love the fact this returned on switch. Love the vids bud.
I’m in the middle of my first play-through of this in years right now, and at the time I watched this video I had just reached the part before paranoia where you realize you need those 3 souls to progress. This was amazing to watch; this whole series is absolutely a beautiful thing. I’m sure it has an amazing community, too. This is very *good for humanity* and I appreciate everything you do for us all. It may seem less significant to you than it truly is in the grand scheme of things, in all reality and fairness. Thank you ❤ end hate 🌏
The Dominus Collection is such a big W for Castlevania! The game has never looked this clean and been this seamless. I am going to get to enjoy so much more DS Vania!
fuckin hell i used to play this game when i was eleven years old and i was real proud beating it back then but now seeing this makes me feel like i was really really slow back then
He talks about it right after Aguni. Mouse is faster at TAS level but between inconsistency and switching back and forth he thinks for RTA buttons is optimal
Yeah the dominus collection made the change because of the fact that you cant exactly draw on your computer screen/tv just need to memorize button presses now instead
The bloodstained bugs are killing me man. I went to beat it for the first time, grinded out 100% normal mode, not realizing the latest update in May added a bug which doesnt let you beat the final boss ☠️ I am so pressed
Hey, Jupiter. I'm currently brainstorming a Dawn of Sorrow Reverse Boss Order run in New Game +, and was wondering if you had a Discord Server that I could share it with. I have everything mapped out (mostly), using a combination of Magic Seal Zips and Succubus Clips, but the biggest hurdle is defeating Aguni before Paranoia (since, normally, you need Paranoia soul to access Aguni, as he's locked behind a mirror).
Question about Bloodstained: Because I'm interested in playing all 3 games, should I wait for the patch, so that I can play the best version of RoTN, or is the game fine the way it is? I'm asking, because I don't mind waiting for a little longer, if it means getting the best experience possible.
I think as long as you aren't playing on Switch (which currently has a crashing bug that they're still working on patching) and you make sure to save before menuing in the shop you should have an okay time! You also just shouldn't get the Switch version anyway, it's kind of the problem child and has been since the game came out
Id love it to death if you could get some glitchless runs uploaded for all 3 games in CVDC Id love it to bosses cooler than death if you made some kind of tutorial for getting into these games speedrun wise!
I second this! Even if it's not so much a speed run guide, as much as if it's something similar to the Dawn Of Sorrow video that highlights some key/useful things to know about the game.
In this category it's worth trying for once or twice on the way, since it can save a little time on Menace, but it's definitely not worth the farm when we already have Devil + Durandal / Masamune.
@@JupiterClimb gotcha that's what I figured. I know all the speedruns have been changing since the collection came out so it's been fascinating keeping up with all of the new changes.
i’ve been playing this on switch and i’m encountering a glitch on the final two magic seals where the first time using them per boss, it just doesn’t work. anyone else experiencing this?
I had this happen to me from Gergoth onwards on the steam deck, I even tested it with rewinds and the seals would auto fail and I'd have to get the seal to show up a second time to be able to finish the bosses
The Dominus Collection has been such a blessing for the speedrunning community with all these WR's!
It’s such a great collection!!
Man seeing your speedruns makes me want to pick up the DS trilogy once more. They helped me get through tough days
Do it! Go for it!

A world record of my favorite castlevania getted by my favorite castlevania speedrunner
Nice one JC
I absolutely love this game. It’s great that this collection’s brought this game back to the forefront.
Big congratulations on the new WR, that run was craaaazy good RNG and execution. Well played sir.
This week I finish my first walktrought of DoS. Now it's my favorite in the franchise. This is like a gift.

just shows Dominus has improved the quality of speedruns
Watching vanilla Dawn on Jups channel feels wrong^^
hearing pitch black intrusion actually play in lost village now almost feels wrong after getting used to randomizers xd
0:51 i love your nonchalant delivery of "Cringe?"
followed by pog 10 seconds later

"Last Run", the magic words to ensure a completely cursed run, or a PB.
WR with a botched seal is incredible dawn energy. Congratulations!
Shoutout to Une for blessing the run

congrats! konami and jupiter doing uns fans real good lately

Did the button seals turn out to be optimal or is the time loss worth the convenience?
He talks about it right after Aguni. Mouse is faster at TAS level but between inconsistency and switching back and forth he thinks for RTA buttons is optimal
Dominus Collection is a TRUE BLESSING!! Now going for the 100% in the trilogy and maybe try some runs
Congrats on another WR! GG
Early demon sould drop is crazy
Congrats! That was a great run.
Malphas showing he is, in fact, an airborne boss.
Bruh! I did it in 10 hours 20 years ago. Let me know when you catch up... Oh wait...
13:16 Thanks, Satan!
Woah, the seals are now button combos? That's so cool.
Yeah the dominus collection made the change because of the fact that you cant exactly draw on your computer screen/tv just need to memorize button presses now instead
Great run as always, are you going to be working on older PBS now that the collection runs so smooth?
Hello, quick question: What controller are you using for speedrunning?
Logitech F310
As a Dawn of Sorrow player, I can confirm that the Devil soul is OP.
The bloodstained bugs are killing me man. I went to beat it for the first time, grinded out 100% normal mode, not realizing the latest update in May added a bug which doesnt let you beat the final boss ☠️ I am so pressed
Same, worst part is, to my knowledge it only does that on Nintendo switch
that devil soul luck daaaamn
This is a beautiful run here Jup. Congrats on a new WR.
Do you think you'll be trying for a new All Souls record anytime soon?
How long did it take to get used to button controls for seals? I assume once your comfy with em its much quicker and 100% consistent than drawing is
Isn't that a glitch that you use to clip through the barrier at 14:20 (and again at 17:15)? If not, why doesn't that count as a glitch?
I liked the content, I will follow

I am new to Castlevania speedrun, why you always jump in that strang way instead of running normally?

Personally I would recommend waiting for now, apparently WayForward is working on fixing a whole bunch of issues

@@wygolvillage2637 Alright, thanks!
Damn, I was watching it right now on twitch, now I know how it ends :)
You probably won't see this but how do you get the hangun in the garden if madness?
You have to go around from the Clock Tower exit
@JupiterClimb oh my god you replied thank you so much I've been trying to get it for a week now
That my friend was epic
Devil soul drop ftw

"cringe" "pog" lol
BIG schmooving!
Do we not go for Malacoda in the run anymore?

I'm on Switch and never experienced this. How odd.
Is this a game journalist version of the game that produces less of those hell mouths that menace spawns?
cool vid

Would be awkward if Dario actually killed you because you missed a mirror entry lmao
