    Video Introduction:
The global solar war is heating up with each passing day! While one side, while world leaders like Biden and Modi ji have been announcing ambitious targets to shift to renewable energy, on the other side, China is waging a price war on India with its exorbitant price hikes on the import of solar modules!! This has resulted into the Historic solar war between India and China!
While one side, the Chinese vendors are using their monopoly to make it difficult for India to progress, on other side, we have legendary Industrialists like Ambani, Adani and TATA who are pushing their limits to turn India into a Solar superpower!!
So the question is what is the solar war all about?
How is China trying to strangle the growth of INDIA?
What is INDIA doing to stand up against the Chinese powers?

      3. Net Zero is impossible without Nuclear energy both Fusion and Fission. We need Fusion more than ever. Without it, forget net zero emission no matter how many sources of renewable you have.
      4. Solar is cheaper as its raw material is easily available. Add to it the Sun rays which are present everywhere. It is also scalable and cheap on individual levels.

I'm not talking about commercial usage in our homes. In India we still have more than 70 wind energy farms which are powering the villages and towns nearby. Although it's not always reliable, the minimum effort that can be put is to use the wind energy to power the solar cell factories. I am sorry I made these comments in exasperation. Whether anyone sees it or not India is in a critical situation in Technology. That people higher above don't realise. They think that they can"fix"it. If it is so it could've been, a half a century ago !
Recall how "Kaveri" engine is faring. We are not out of the woods as yet & God knows when will that be. Why don't we face the problem straight on, instead of, ifs & buts. There is a chorus of Micawberian optimists that won't be of any help. Nobody works.
We are lucky that our adversary is PRC that is in a worse situation than ourselves. We are a matched pair on the battle-field. What we claim as "great" success of our Army is that we have been able to contain them, but not regain an inch of land. In straight-jacket our Army, unable to use fire-arms against them. It is rather depressing.
The way out for this log-jam is when a company like TSMC or Motorola invests a half a trillion US$ to create a Si foundry. But why should they? How to induce them to do it? PRC knows for sure, that the world will come to it, as T I N A (there is no alternative ). it is sitting on top of chip manufacturing pyramid. Only (stupid, "MUDha") Indians do such a thing, due to our Technological imbecility. You know what? It isn't sufficient if you make the chips, you need to market them too, that isn't so easy. Others have established their network long ago. It is how we are all (a billion Indians) keep buying Intel chips as part of our laptops. Even our Tejas LCA will all be grounded as its performance is due to an American engine. If it is withdrawn Russia will have the last laugh, followed by Chinese guffaw.

The price of Chinese polysilicon has increased across the globe, not just for India, by roughly same factor. So I doubt its a case China trying to strangle India. There could be several factors: huge increases in global shipping costs, shortage of coal in China leading to demand for solar projects, and a fundamental shift in the management of currency value. Monopolies disrupt markets even without malicious intent. An indigenous capacity in poly and wafer production is long overdue, not just for solar but also for device production.

The three major barriers to greater use of solar and wind electricity are higher costs than many alternative electricity sources, insufficient transmission, and management of the variable electricity output from these sources. Solar energy systems/power plants do not produce air pollution or greenhouse gases. ... Some solar thermal systems use potentially hazardous fluids to transfer heat. Leaks of these materials could be harmful to the environment. U.S. environmental laws regulate the use and disposal of these types of materials and Indian govt should also look on this matter too
