    VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
2 weeks back I had gone to assist Nikhil Kamath with the research of his podcast on the Electric vehicle revolution, and because of that we ended up reading 500 pages of research and we found something absolutely fascinating!! The electric revolution is gathering pace with each passing day!! And while most people might think this is yet another business trend, what they dont realise that just like Oil determined the power of nations in the 20th Century, in the 21st century who ever controls the resources to build an electric vehicle and Solar panels will go on to control the world itself!! And just like Oil this is one such industry where both business and geopolitics come hand in hand, so while on one side, Tesla, ford and Volkswagen have been pouring in billions of dollars to crack the EV market, on the other side, China and United states are in a geopolitical war to dominate the most essential materials to build an electric vehicle s.
Similarly in India we are seeing giant companies like Ola electric, ather energy, TVS, TATAs and even Hero pushing their boundaries to capture the EV industry of India!! And lastly just like any other business revolution even the EV revolution has some wonderful opportunities to invest and build a business!!
So in this indepth episode of 30mins, we are going to take you into deep dive and give you a snap shot of the entire EV industry!! And this is the only 30 minute explainer that you would need to get a macro view of the Electric revolution!!
So lets dive into this case study and understand,
Why are US China and India so crazy about EVs?
Where does the power game of Electric vehicle lie??
How will EVs determine the next superpowers of the 21st century?
Where does India stand in this race?
And how are the legends like Ambani and TATAs catapolting India into the EV revolution? How is the economics of EVs changing with time?
And most importantly, as entreprenurs and students of business where do the golden opportunties in the electric revolution lie?

Not winning or losing. There is not any relationship between India and EVs.

  • @mjordan233

Credit to China where it's due

  • @saptarshisahoo2030

Chinese leadership don't think about vote.. They think about future before 10 years. That's the main difference with India.

  • @danielboey14

I keep seeing videos asking if India is winning this war or that war - oil, semiconductors and now EV. Seriously - is India even in these equations? How can India win or lose in wars that it is not even a player?

I watch his videos not only for knowledge but also for improving english😂😂😂

Nobody can compete with China, they becoming king in each & every sector

  • @magnetospin

It's not just the mineral resources. China invested tons of money into battery R&D, and as a result it makes the world best batteries by a wide margin. Nobody else comes close to how good China's batteries are. Even if China doesn't dominate the minerals, it would still dominate the battery.

I am a CA Student. In our curriculum of CA INTER we come across a subject called Strategic Management, in that we learn about SWOT Analysis. Looks like china has done SWOT Analysis quiet magnificently.

China gets huge respect from me They have not looted in country like Britishers, dutch They become super power on their own efforts

  • @tonyxavier6509

The most important reason why India should switch to EVs ASAP is not for the love of environment, but for economic growth. Imagine a 100 billion worth of imported energy is replaced by locally produced electricity. That's a huge economic stimulus injected each and every year.

  • @tonyxavier6509

The real reason why most consumers would buy an EV is not because it is environment friendly, but because

To answer the question, India is not in the war itself. China has already won it.

  • @rohitr12345

Chine foresaw the importance of Lithium and Cobalt years before even Elon musk was dreaming about Tesla etc....India is busy doling out freebies....China made imvestments in critical areas....Their diplomacy was already at peak years back...India has now achieved its peak...but the summit is much lower compared to that of China's prowess!

I suppose you forgot another major component, GRAPHITE. China is the world's top graphite producer and exporter. It also refines more than 90% of the world's graphite into the material that is used in virtually all EV battery anodes. Also more efficient electric motors require rare earth neodymium. China process over 75% of this metal. (A 12-15 mw wind turbine needs over 3 tons of neodymium).

We need to understand that China is not our economic competitor. US and China can be economic competitors of each other. What we are achieving now has already been done and dusted by China decades ago.

India is good at talking big game. But no one listens to them other then themself
