I know of a family friend who installed a large solar park in Karnataka almost 7 years ago. The cost of producing 1 KWH is so high and the agreement they have with the state discom for purchase of electricity is so low, that even after many years, they have not made a profit. He says that the panels are inefficient, difficult to maintain, and the cost of the whole project is so high that it was not worthwhile. He has deep pockets and although not bankrupt, he telIs me that they have learnt a lesson not to invest in projects generally in India. It's a different story with large cos like Adani and TATA.

Overall a nice video, always have been. The efficiency of Solar Panel needed to be addressed, unlike the material as you mentioned 80%, the efficiency of panel stays in the low range of 22% ~18% in reality, development of new materials will boom demand for the efficiency in upwards of ~25% to 35%in future. Plus big players - Reliance has started manufacturing Solar Panels and has taken a substantial portion of material import advantage. The point being major manufacturing industries setting up traditional infrastructure and good with govt [Currently Modi] is only able to enter in manufacturing. The new material tech driven panel won’t be utilized as it will hamper the currently invested, a tough market even with subsidies for new comers. Just like Solar energy was stalled by the oil and gas lobby, solar panels own development is stalled by the vested interests.

Correction: each solar cell consisting of polysilicon gives maximum efficiency to 18% to 20% only not 80% even coal power is giving efficiency up to 70% 7:52. I think u should bring an expert opinion for technical understanding.
He probably meant it can retain 80% of its original efficiency (of around 20% although China came up with one that is 33% recently) even after 25 years.
@@DrFact-cn8gc if the efficiency is as so high then Govt would invest whole money into solar panel, even they can shutdown the coal power plant, wind power plant. At the installation the efficiency is remaining the same but only output power is changing as the number of solar cells increases.

Can you please make a video on Ladakh, what kind of projects government is bringing in Ladakh and why Ladakh is protesting against it. And how it will impact India’s economy and Ladakh’s people.
Please make a detail video on India's tourism sector

Bro I recently watched Nvidia's new gen processor chip launch event, I wanted to watch your compilation on the importance of semiconductor, the benifit GPUs 10000% profit marketing and and some gaming and AI subject directly benefiting nvidia. Treat it like a case study of Nvidia's life story.
Thank you

Love from odisha 😊
except semiconductors used for processing data are much more complex and by a long shot , these two can't be put in the same category , companies like Nvidia have to create the architecture and improve on it or change in like 1-2 years , i don't think there is a private company in India that is competent enough to represent India at an international level in this industry , even china struggles badly in this space only countries in the west and western sphere know the secret right now like Netherlands , Taiwan , USA
Literally people are using Nvidia gpu for bitcoin which needs tons of electricity and the funny part is that the coin isn't even real expect it has a value in market
@@dogbones8976 yeah but just imagine this field, if India has this technology in return of the protection we can Trade it off. Taiwan is facing kiu by China daily and it's protected by USA but it isn't successful enough. I just want people to see the GPU potentials.
@@Mr.Aizen2750 India will manufacture low quality chips because the US and its close allies holds total autonomy on the latest semiconductor tech and fabs
@@Mr.Aizen2750 though i understood what you said and also want the same for india but currently it is not possible as the quality of engineers in india is nowhere good enough to make these chips unless we bring back our diaspora from the west and that too won't be possible , i mean india will be able to manufacture basic chips like storage or memory modules but not the cutting edge processors , and one more thing setting up a manufacturing unit in india is still a nightmare , read apple insider talks about factory in india , they only made iphone back covers and only 50% of them were able to pass the quality check while in china the number was 100% , and they also shared how the workforce act lazy and unpassionate at times and the transportation problem in the city is huge, my father decided to do a medium size business here in india and it was a constant headache by the workers , sorry to say i'm not optimistic in indian manufacturing as we still haven't rectified the basics

Currently in power generation thermal, coal and diesel is used. With this solar revolution coal and diesel should be replaced within 10-15 years. This will save environment, tax payers money and foreign forex(as both are imported). Kudos to Modi government 👏
well it will not be reduced rather than produciton through coal and all that will be small. In future you are gonna see mainly renewable sources of energy like solar wind etc and nuclear energy
Solar will never solve the energy needs of this country not in another 25 years at least unless india gets a battery technology that can last at least 10 years under warranty
Once gross metering comes everyone will have their money burned! People are too trusting of their governments
7 years to break even if we get net metering+ subsidies + but if it is gross metering then I don't know how long it will take 10+ years?
Who can guarantee that the tech involved will last 10+ years without needing additional spending apart from the huge money outlay upfront

Why you not have any analysis on environmental businesses...there are huge chances in business..even government are ignoring,..they will give economic boost along with environment protection..I hope u did a research project on it..thank you
please elaborate what do you mean by environmental businesses
I guess if we will work from basics i.e huge production of polysilicon within the nation, we can dominate the market within a decade as our quality is also good.
In USA this system costs so much money that a family will not break even in cost for more than 18-20 years. So it is not worth it in USA. In India it is so much better. I encourage all Indians to do this system, you have a better government who gives you so much......

After subsidy of 78,000/-, user to pay less than 1,00,000/-.
ROI of investment < 5 years..

Brother Ganesh Prasad, huge fan here.
Wish to provide some factual corrections so your future videos can be error free.
- KW-Hr is a unit of electricity and KW is an expression of electrical capacity
- The labels of the pie charts can be accurate starting from 10:04. First one is silica mining. Second one also reads silica production (10:17).
- Years attached to the pie charts are having incorrect titles.
Brother, Would love to see error free videos as you are already a diamond on the crown when it comes to business/geo_p podcasts.
We also need to scale up,
Sodium ion battery manufacturing for Stationary storage.
Because you need to store solar energy for uses at night time.
And For Stationary Grid storage, Energy density doesn't matter.
It just need to be cheap.
Sodium ion Battery will be cheaper than Li-ion battery if mass manufacturing is achieved.
(Its Because Sodium is abundant and cheap )
Even though china is our enemy but we should admit that China is far far ahead of india in case of infrastructure technology etc 😊
But should not be discouraged and keep moving forward with best achievements possible.
whether we admit or not, it is a fact.
Duuh, we are far behind china, I can give details examples how much we are far behind . We can't touch china with the speed we have but also we can't level much faster .
Nope, there's not a thing called impossible in human habitation. We can move faster and develop better, we have the potential to become a powerful and developed economy ahead of china. The only thing we lack is the proper condition and a favourable leadership for long term, which china got and is expected to get in future since they are a dictatorship country.
I noticed you spam the same comment in almost every video
Bro, i am living in a village of karnataka, my electricity bill was less than Rs200/month (now it's free). I don't know how an average household can get Rs2,275/month. Here an average household bill will be around Rs500 to 600/month
Same here is Telangana too... We get zero bill now as our consumption is below 200 units.
Why no one is talking about batteries, it's the most important thing in a solar panel system.
I think the panels rn have low revenge expenditure. But yeah state support is necessary or else it won't survive
Hi think school.
I love consuming the information you provide but I would love a video where you show a step by step process of how to do a subject specific research.I know a lot of videos are available on UA-cam but I admire not only the research you do but the presentation as well.

Brother, China has added 360GW of solar power in just 2023, which is 80% of our total energy production. Imagine the scale of China.
We can never beat China.
Boy even usa was leading in manufacturing in 1990s and china was way behind but fast forward 20 years china become world factory so we should keep pushing our manufacturing capacity so that we Can keep a steady growth eventually beat china
The real battlefield is not solar energy, but artificial intelligence between China and the United States. You need huge power to run the chips for artificial intelligence calculations. India is not yet on the AI stage and is 10 years behind.
@@glimmerdewdrop7594 India is at least 50 years behind China. What takes China 20 years to do with take India at least 40 years to complete with half the result. It is a fact. China progress is the fastest in the world. No one can match hers.

Based on bit of research I understood - "Websol Energy System" is engaged in manufacturing of Solar Cells and Modules.
We want more case study related to solar industry. 🙌
Having solar system manufacturing is not sufficient, main issue with battery for storage, just like EV our dependency on china is high as well

If you don't have the R108000 +78000=R186000 underneath the mattress, you need to borrow, and unless someone lends you that money. What is the borrowing cost?
This is a good initiative to fulfill the demand of electricity of the household with solar plates
So that we can provide more energy to the power Hungry industries...

Renewable energy sources are good. Even the long unbroken sea coast of the country could be harnessed for tidal energy and wind energy. That could reduce dependency over non renewable energy!

One company that is going all out in this industry is reliance, I've done internship in reliance's new energy where they are investing in polysilicon and silicon ingot production.......
Correction: each solar cell consisting of polysilicon gives maximum efficiency to 18% to 20% only not 80% even coal power is giving efficiency up to 70% 7:52. I think u should bring an expert opinion for technical understanding.
What I understood from that is '80% of the efficiency at the time of installation'. It is just badly worded I think.
@@DrFact-cn8gcYou, are right he meant it. What you have said
He probably meant it can retain 80% of its original efficiency (of around 20% although China came up with one that is 33% recently) even after 25 years.
@@DrFact-cn8gc if the efficiency is as so high then Govt would invest whole money into solar panel, even they can shutdown the coal power plant, wind power plant. At the installation the efficiency is remaining the same but only output power is changing as the number of solar cells increases.
