She's very correct.Emandulo there was no divorce and it was very rare for marriages to break down because they were a spiritual construct more than a piece of paper given by the government. My wife was my family's wife and even more so she was my ancestor's wife so abusing her was not an option because we respected the institution as a cultural and spiritual construct.
If ever she had committed an offense, she'd be taken back to her family and they'd cleanse the family with a cow or more.Divorce did not exist.

Great insights Khehla although she lost me when she said stop believing ukuthi family members bayakuthakatha. There's a difference between believing such and knowing it to be true, in certain instances it actually happens and your ancestors actually give you warnings about it so we can't downplay it and I'm not suggesting you should steal your peace by dwelling on people who do such, just wanted to state that it is a reality of families

A step sibling must submit to the authority of the oldest male born in the marriage of their father. That is the person who must speak to idlozi and introduce the step siblings so they can be heard too if need be.
One case in point: where a man had two sons with a woman he wanted to marry but ended up marrying another woman and had one son with her.Edlozini it's the father who attends to izinto zesiko but on his passing it's the younger son who carries the spear and then takes up the role as head of the family. As long as you follow the malegeniture line of authority in the family it's easy to follow these things.
