I feel so sorry for the biological mother, I feel like no one understands her side of this tragedy. That she's still grieving the loss of her daughter worse now though she's alive. No amount of jail time for the mother that kidnapped her daughter will ever close that would. May the God of justice comfort her and all affected.

    1. Of all the babies in the hospital Levona chooses a baby whose parents live some streets away from her and raises the child in the same area. They probably crossed paths every day travelling to work and shops. Close, but hidden.
    2. The baby’s name Zephany which means according to the interview “ one who is hidden” like she was.
    3. The school she attends is in the next neighbourhood but coincidentally her sister attends the same school instead of the local one in their area.
So many co incidences and I believe she is correct when she says God has a purpose for her. May God be your light and guide. Wishing you and your birthmom much love and healing.

It would be like meeting a family in a mall at 14 and going home to live with them. Except for her sister, they were complete strangers with different habits, lifestyles, and everything. Even older children that are abducted and are found a decade later, they don’t fit in, in either family any longer. I remember one boy (abducted by a man) found and he was in his teens when found and was not fitting in with his ‘real’ family. So sad. There was another story of a boy found that even later became a cop and then died in a crash. Some people have such tragedies in their lives. 💔

What a disastrous human catastrophe! Zephany's psychological insights are quite remarkable - an indication of the sound quality of her early child raising, all to be thrown into utter human chaos and tragedy. Zephany's story is a heartfelt testimony to human resilience. The irony and reality is that her formative years were based on genuine love and caring by a mother who performed a criminal act to have a child, and a father who was unaware of the reality. An extremely well conducted and presented interview.

Seems like a broken mom who lost too many babies unborn and lost alive that she got so desperate she decided to steal a baby to fill that void. I remember this story on the news growing up...truly heartbreaking. The emotions she must have felt discovering her true identity and the confusion that came with it are unimaginable. What makes this even more complex is that she had a safe and loving relationship with the woman who abducted her, which must have added an entirely new layer of emotional turmoil. It’s a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of the human spirit, even in the face of such profound trauma. My heart goes out to her and her family as they continue to heal from this extraordinary ordeal

The person who kidnapped her really messed up her life. She is a good person and super friendly. And I feel as much as she was discovered Zephany did not want to be with her real family. It's like they had joy and sadness. I wonder if being a mother will help her to understand the pain her family feels.

I was also in high school when this story broke out and I remember how it just blew up in the news and it’s something that just kind of stuck with me over the years. I loved watching the documentary and getting the full picture of what actually went down, but it was very refreshing to just listen to her speak about how she experienced everything and how it affected her. You did a great job Josh! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This was so powerful. So many people are searching for purpose and it can only come from Christ. Hurting those who hurt you won't bring healing. Having perfect lives with no hurt wont make us healthier. Our only help comes from God. Zephany, your story is amazing, your courage and strength is inspiring. The Lord will use you in great ways. May the Lord continue to heal you and those you love on both sides. May the Lord continue to grow your voice. Thank you ❤

She appears to be an amazing person! My heart BREAKS when I listen to all of this! The complexity of it all!
Zephany's emotional intelligence is on another level! Her empathy is very drawing! How, that, through all pain and suffering, her insight and judgement to realise that their are others involved is STRIKING! She's somewhat of a protagonist and an advocate, an ENFJ-INFJ mix.
Well done to Josh, for an amazing interview.
PS: Could we also acknowledge the social workers and psychologist? Such amazing individuals!

The kidnapper should never be released from prison. She didn't only ruin the lives of the biological parents but mostly zephany's mindset, psychological, and the way she looks at her biological family. Its a life sentence for them, and they didn't ask for this. So sad😢

Desire for retribution is evil. If she is not going to hurt anyone else, then she should be released. She needs mental health counseling. Two wrongs don't make a right. Enough harm has taken place. Love and forgiveness is the only thing that heals.

So, getting this update from here personally was wonderful. I'm so happy she's written a book. And it seems she's been getting excellent counselling. As a therapist myself it's a fascinating real story where each one in the plot has such a different perspective of what has happened, and the difficulties of seeing the others is so(!) difficult.
I pray for each one of them to find inner peace and forgiveness.
Zephany, your ability to work on yourself is admirable.
