It is worth remembering that the Queen would die anyway, as the baby was turned over and was not coming out. So the choice was between opening her belly and taking out the baby or letting them both die.
I just wish they gave her a huge dose of milk of the poppy waited 30’seconds then did it but I don’t agree with people saying he murderers her, if he would of left it they both would of died but I don’t understand why they didn’t slice gooch area and a bit inside to let it come out they do that a lot in unexpected brea breach births, graphic but true xxx

@@justniquol8972in those times it was for the king or even husband to make the decision it’s not 2024 in this show it’s very old which brings old fashioned ways, he should of told her but it wouldn’t of been her choice
So many people make the mistake of thinking it was one or the other. It is so unfair to the King. They get such a bad impression of him in the first episode, and he is not a bad guy at all.
The Targaryens actually didn't struggle to have children. They normally have children without any issues.
It varys sometimes it goes well sometimes it doesn't it's never consistent.
A rare reaction that its someone that hasn’t seen GoT. I get it that he may need some help understanding the world of Westeros and that’s fine.
The only other thing I’d say is King Viserys didn’t choose the baby over his wife in that unfortunate moment, the baby was the only choice as it couldn’t be birthed so both would die, it couldn’t incubate forever… but his dream and the realms need for a son to get Aemma pregnant so many times actually is why she died. The most disappointing thing is that the king didn’t tell her what he decided.

Just once I would like to see reactors that actually understand what happened in the birth scene. It was not one or the other. It was try to save the baby, or not. The Queen was gone regardless.

No offence but when you explain everything your giving the whole idea of an authentic reaction no chance. Let him watch and figure it out himself I was gonna follow and watch but this chick is ruining the whole show for him over explaining and giving up the game
Granted he truly seems lost without the explanations. She's just trying to help but it is preventing a proper and smooth reaction.
Yeah there’s a bit of that, but seriously he clearly needed assistance otherwise he’d be lost to the realm altogether… if you weren’t a bookreader, GoT took a few episodes to get to know the world… without GoT lore knowledge, give him a chance

I understand what you’re saying and I will work on trying not spoil too many things. It’s hard though because there a lot of times off camera where we pause and he asks very specific questions or tells me to explain. I have tried to watch game of thrones with him in the past and the reason he “hates” it and stops watching is because of the amount of detail and plot lines. And medieval fantasy just isn’t a genre he typically enjoys anyway. So I’m trying to fill in a lot of gaps and help him when I see he’s missed an important detail. And just make it easier for him to get into the show. Keep in mind this is a “hater” and a “lover” watching the show. He’s not someone who is interested in watching it in the first place and if I wasn’t there sat with him he wouldn’t be watching it at all. So I don’t agree that I am ruining the show for him, as he would have stopped after 10 min it’s if I wasn’t there. And obviously when season 2 comes out in June it will be a first time reaction for both of us
