When they get cut by the throne it's a sign that they've been rejected by it. Only those truly worthy aren't harmed. King Vis isn't right for the throne.

That is not true. The worth or not is just what people talk about.
The point is that is random. The Mad king was "not Worthy" and got cut all the time, but Aegon the Unworthy(that the title says everything) didn't got cut by it. The same thing for Maegor the Cruel.
Also here Viserys got cut all the time and I wouldn't say he is a bad king.
King's Landing was built by the Targaryens. It's named King's Landing because that's where Aegon the Conqueror, the first Targaryen king and the one who unified the kingdoms, landed in Westeros.
What was the town name before aegon landed ?

If you notice. Daemon never said "heir for a day " only Otto Hightower said that to the king 🤔 he also never admitted or denied saying it.

The king asked him and he responded 'we all mourn in different ways' or smth like that. It's basically admission. There is no reason for him not to deny it.

I believe he said it. But the way Ottos portrays it is completely out of context.
Daemon was honouring his baby nephew, who was for a day, the heir. He was relinquishing and acknowledging that he had lost his place as heir for a time.
But the way Otto brings it up in the meeting, knowing the King is already emotional af about the baby’s death, cuz he’d just chewed Otto out…. He knew Viserys would blow up.
He’s said the WHOLE episode that Daemon shouldn’t be at court. This was his way of getting him sent away, cuz Daemon sees him for the cunt that he is.

I think the sound slipped from me but I knew something was wrong when the guy was holding the baby and had an alarm looking facial expression.
Did you catch the guy Damon challenged was the eldest son of the Hand of the King Otto and Allicent’s brother? The Song of Ice and Fire is what Game of Thrones was based on. He foreshadowing the White Walkers and the Long Night from Season Eight.

WESTEROS FUN FACT TIME (hahaha):
Aegon the Conqueror (Targaryen) and his sister-wives conquered Westeros (about 100+ years prior to the start of this show) and brought the 7 kingdoms together, and had King's Landing built as the capital. So King's Landing has been around for 300 years by the time we see it in the original GoT show. There are some diff buildings -- like the huge ass Dragonpit that we saw the princess fly her dragon to-- in GoT that's a ruin. We see it in the final season, where Tyrion & all of them go to meet Cersei with the wight, to try to get her to help them against the Night King.

I just love these little details in this 1st episode it made it even more perfect ! viserys telling the story of Aegon, holding the valeryan daguer while rickon stark is looking down at Rhaenyra !? Perfect !!

There will be 10 episodes per season. (They announced that there would be at least a Season 2 for this series) Also, you guys should check out the Valerian steel dagger again, that was flashed to after the King said Aegon's dream was called "A Song of Ice and Fire". It should be a familiar looking dagger to you guys if you watched GOT.
It is a cool Easter egg for the GOT fans, but that whole conversation is also GRRMs way of completely disinheriting DnDs last few seasons of GOT. It’s subtle but very well done.
Saying that Aegon had a Dragon Dream, the same way that Dany was having Dragon Dreams, in the books.

I hope that if he ever finishes the books, they completely reboot the whole “a Song of Ice & Fire.” And do it properly.
Its brutal scene to watch. showing the parallel from rheanerya and her mother convo that said childbirth is the woman's battle in this world. And to cut back and forth between men battles and woman's battles in those times.
Also, did you notice the shape of the joust arena? what does it look like they are having a joust battle in? It all ties in with the scene

Daemon's first opponent at the tournament (who he chose), was the son of Otto Hightower, and his choice was deliberate.
They couldn't save both. It was either the child and the wife dies together or only the queen dies and they could save the baby.

It's very unlikely that Otto Hightower, Hand of the King, sent his only daughter to the king's chambers with the intention that she become his mistress. Otto was aiming for a royal marriage. He very likely wanted Alicent, who, in this show is about 15 years old, to ingratiate herself with the bereaved king so that when the king is ready to take a new wife, he will choose Alicent. Otto did not consult Alicent as to whether she agreed, he just told her to do it; and, as an obedient daughter who needed to make a good marriage (not being from as high a social position/House as Rhaenyra), Alicent obeyed without question.

Daemon Targaryen is more of a villain than a hero. He is a very charismatic killer/fighter. Also, he hates Otto Hightower (the king's Hand).

I think the drawings that Jon found in the cave in Dragonstone might have beenm drawn by Rhaeneyra or on her orders.. maybe when she realises that she is gonna die and she has no one to pass on that secret.. she draws them in the hopes that one day a targeryen might find it… just a theory though..

Mother and child were dying no matter what because they couldn't get the baby out. Only 1 they could save was the baby . But thst was the only way to get it out.
