Where do you find the tach input wire coming off of the tach? Do you need to remove the dash and pull the tach? Someone installed a digital tach to a white wire coming off of the factory tach. When I disconnected it, the digital tach stopped registering numbers. Is that white wire my tach input wire? Sorry im not a mechanic or an electrician 🤦🏻♂️
They are also different schematics based on your year and model. Send me your make and model and year and I’ll look the diagram up for ya. Also what engine and is it TPI
What year is your car? Do you have cable speed? Dakota Digital has a box that does both speed and Tach. I suggest that one if you have later model speedo no cable. A couple to look at SGI-100BT is combo or Tach only (don’t need resistor) SGI-8E
Hello I have a 1988 Pontiac trans am I did my ls swap I keep hearing Pontiac went to electronic first what colors do I splice into get my speedo working
@@jaydeee5961 I can’t find that one but the ones I’m seeing is C1 connector (cluster plug the one on the right side looking at the dash) might be brown... but that’s camaro . Try to search C1 or C2 wire diagram for the images

@@FireballMullet well my car is a 1986
@@DreadxHeadAR I believe that is cable. So you need two boxes, one for Tach mentioned above SGI8e and you need a cable to vss converter box ECD-200BT
