Hi Lauren, I know how it is waiting for the wind. I am making my way west along the south of the U.K. in my yacht. The prevailing winds are always from the west or southwest and pretty much on the nose. Keep safe, love your videos and let’s hope the wind blows the right direction for both of us.

I can't believe you would even get in the water with the tiger shark anywhere near you. Back when I was able to swim in the ocean, I exited immediately when a large tiger was in the area. There are three hurricanes heading your way. I can tell you that the best Caribbean sailors sail away from the hurricane belt in August and September. It's better in the Caribbean islands but not during hurricane season. If you will purchase a cheap inverter generator all of your plans will be safer and more sustainable. Total dependence on solar power not bullet proof. You are always in my prayers and at the top of my most likely to succeed list.
I want to be out there with you. How much for a seasonal cruz around the ocean somewhere accessible to the states. Kinda like a charter, but only have two weeks of vacation time. Yes, No, maybe?? I have been to the Exumas for years. my first visit was in 1970. I stayed at the Out Island Inn and looked at buying property above this to build. What advise your you have to visit the area. There is a small island off the coast of the island with no population that we loved. It was off the coast of Georgetown.
That was a fun video. I’m a pilot so I know nothing about sailing except two lessons I took when I was in Tortola. You have guts if you sail solo to Bahamas by yourself. Stay safe.
The Bahamas is the most peaceful and protected place you will ever sail. But the Caribbean is magic that can't be explained. When you arrive in the Caribbean Islands you will connect with global sailing community with boats and sailors from all over the world heading in every direction. There are no bugs, air conditioners, and few docks. The Caribbean islands are an anchor community living on the hook. There is 15 knots or more of wind from the same direction (SE) every day. In the British Virgin Islands you will find 50 protected anchorages. The open sea is rough all the time. It's the sailing capital of the world and some of the best diving you will find anywhere. Getting there is the tough part. It's into the wind and ocean current all the way to Puerto Rico. Keep your fuel tanks full. And your head high as always. I will miss your extraordinary coverage of the Bahamas. No one has ever shown the Bahamas as well as you have.
