This is going to be another best year for star wars in 2024 so freaking hyped to watch for bad batch season 3 acolyte series skeleton crew tales of the Jedi season 2 and star wars outlaws
Imagine this: A show or a movie rated R (violence, blood, and language) about a clone trooper (CT-4878 or any random clone). They go into detail about his training and being raised on Kamino, how tough and the struggles they endured in the training. Explore the deep bond that him and his squad have with each other and in their first battle have one of members of the squad die. This is a wakeup call for our main character and shows the true nature of war in the eyes of a regular clone trooper, how they are just made to be "expendable". Show the mental toll this takes on the clones and keep them in battles the rest of the time. Show the crappy conditions that they must go through along with losing countless brothers along the way. This show/movie could almost resemble "Saving Private Ryan" in the mood, tone, and overall theme of it.
it’s a good idea, the only problem is it might have a few too many similarities with echo and fives’ storylines through the clone wars and bad batch. obviously those stories are spread out through a much grander show, but nonetheless it might feel like a copy more than an original product. especially with disney backing the whole thing, which gives me less faith they’d be able to make it feel unique. if they could though, that would be awesome
I can't believe nobody has said Tarre (Tarr/Tar?) Viszla. I know that his time period of existence was/is a long time before the typically focused on "Skywalker Era," but I think it would be very cool to see the origin & story of the maker of the Darksaber, as well as the origin/creation of the Saber itself.
It would probably be too complicated, as they would have to create new characters or introduce ones from legends or the old republic @@lastmanstanding-xp3ub
I am so excited for Star Wars The Bad Batch season 3 finale because I know it is going to be awesome and I am so excited to see the characters again and new characters like Commander Wolffe, Fennec Shand, and more new characters and I know that a lot of clones are going to die and even the batch in the battle of Mount Tantis and I am hoping that Omega survives in the battle of Mount Tantis.
Andor is such a break from the very "family oriented" tone we've been exposed to. Please more like andor, it's world building and writing was brilliant. The empire should be a scary, overwhelming force from which there seems to be no escape. That's what makes the rebellion so impressive.
I liked andor, but don’t think it was actually as well written as everyone says… Disney put forth a good final product, not a great one. But in comparison to other Disney Star Wars shows… yeah. The writing was better. It didn’t give me the same Star Wars-y feel that the final couple episodes of the final clone wars season did though. That and mando season one are probably peak Disney Star Wars, and Ashoka was actually pretty good.
@@FinnishEmpire Guess it can't be for everyone. It's more of a slow burn, without the usual explosions and duels, ill give you that. I think what captivated me was the mood and themes of the series. The sense of political helplessness that leads to revolutionary spirit was so well done and rich. It fills the gaps left by the films so well with some perspectives from the ordinary people who live under the empire justifying the real need for a rebellion. Put that alongside the disconnected individualism and machinery of the empire rather than just an evil villain who wants domination and you've got a political sketch of the star wars universe from a different vantage point from heroes, villains and senators. If you're not really into politics in this way, I can see how it might be boring.
You are mistaken for the Old Republic. The High Republic is immediately just before the Phantom menace... 400 years before. Yoda is alive and grand master... not much else is different.
Cool to see John Jackson Miller is coming back! He made really awesome comics like "Knights of the Old Republic" or "Knight Errant", not to mention the novels "Lost Tribe of the Sith" and "Kenobi".He's the MVP this franchise needs!
I honestly am fearful. I'm incredibly sceptical that disney will make anything good. The acolyte series gives me migraines. I just don't think they have the skills to do it justice you know.
@@TeamCap623Yh but mando s3 and ahsoka were absolutely garbage. And then sequels solo obi wan and boba fett. They have rly only had rogue one as a decent film.
Bro I so hope Disney doesn’t mess up the Acolyte as it is set during my favorite time period. I also hope during the show they not only get in-depth on the plentiful amounts of Jedi, but look into the Sith in hiding, but more importantly I really hope they go in depth on the sith empire who are in hiding. As I think that can be a great plot for Disney to continue opon as they could definitely go more in depth on the sith empire creating shows for Revan and maybe after Revan finishes we can get like a Malagus kind of thing. I just really hope they don’t mess it up like they have for most Star Wars things 🙏.
The SW videogames from Respawn have been amazing. I cant believe the PC (and Sony) community can just obliterate games over small things and dont care if it gets promptly fixed
i am hoping with every bone in my body that the acolyte is good, i love the pre prequel era and im quenching for live action takes on the era, i swear if theres shaky cam i will cry
they should make movies/series about the KOTOR era i would pay my entire savings to see the sith and jedi war from then or the mandolorians against the jedi
Makes sense that acolyte to have more action the high republic era was the most action pact and had the best fights in the Starwars universe also confirmed in jedi Survivor
I’m most anticipated Star Wars content in 2024 has got to be THE ACOLYTE it’s a time period I’ve been dying to see. Sucks we gotta wait til 2025 for Andor but it’ll be worth it. Hopefully OUTLAWS will quench my thirst til ACOLYTE & SKELETON CREW come out.
There’s only really two things I want from Star Wars right now. I want them to bring back the actors actually being trained on how to use a lightsaber so that the duels don’t look so slow. I also want to see a Knights of the Old Republic, and that’s not just because Revan is my favorite character.
While I wouldn't dislike or hate focusing on him and/or other interesting Jedi of the "Skywalker Era," I would really like to see someone like Tarre Viszla (idk if thats the exactly correct spelling or not), the maker of the Darksaber and one of, if not the only, Mandalorian inducted into the Jedi Order over its entire history if I remember correctly.
Yoda needs his own movie, what made him the goat of Jedi Masters???? He threw palpatine across a room and into a chair like a ragdoll...😂😂😂 My lil green friend- Palpatine
Me too, I thought Acolyte was supposed to be in that era (1000-ish BBY & older). I'd also like to see Tarre Viszla, the maker of the Darksaber in TOTJ or at least some type of SW project.
Did anybody think the first season of mandalorian was a lot like a comedy with baby Yoda in it? I still love it but the first season was hilarious want to come to Mando's foundling. I wouldn't change a thing
Disney has poured too much sewer grade product into my well. I have no desire anymore to see anything they put out, I also dumped Disney+ after the Obi Wan series concluded.
Honestly the only things I ever looks forward to in Star Wars anymore is the animation projects but the only live action stuff I’m looking forward to still are Ahsoka Season 2 and Dave Filoni’s movie other than that…idc anymore :/
The key novels to read if you want the big picture are the three adult novels: Light of the Jedi, The Rising Storm and The Fallen Star. They're actually very good novels with great world building, interesting new ideas and concepts, compelling villains and they're absolutely filled to the brim with little winks and nods to obscure star wars lore. I hope Skeleton Crew will redeem them selves after disasters such as Mando season 3 and Ahsoka. I really want to see the Adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy with the original characters actually kicking ass one last time, while making way for a proper next generation of new characters.
