It’s impressive that this game went into this much detail. For the 1% of people who were going to start the side quests and then Come back at the end of the game.
It melted my heart seeing Hamish showing to John the fish and the wolf that he hunted with Arthur years back. Rockstar attention to detail is pretty insane
Hamish's last guest was the only one that would've been better to left to John. I mean, I did every non-collectable guest as Arthur before progressing, and I'm glad I did; he got to see the fruits of his labor before passing. But the way Hamish shows off the fish and the wolf to John, and the fact that he dies at the end of that guest makes it a little, I don't know, more melancholic? In a good way.
Getting Turberculosis created a change in him, no more beating people for money, and going out of his way to do the right thing. Without it he may well have remained the unkind man he always considered himself to be.
Thank you so much for uploading this. Was debating on whether I should work on the 100% grind with Arthur or wait and do the missions with John, I think in the interest of time I'm probably going to do mostly everything with Arthur and clean up with John after for the legend of the east suit.
When people ask me why I like this game so much I answer them it's because of a good story and the little things being affected by it in the surroundings and as a player you can experience so many different scenarios Respect to all rockstar employees who worked hard for this masterpiece hope GTA 6 or rdr3 is even better
Missed a few clips when I made this, this Is a re-upload with a couple of extra scenes I forgot. I organized the mission dialogue as well so it's not too complicated to know which missions what. Magnifico, Margaret and the lion, the chain gang, Dr Renaud, and the electric chair professor all were missions that john Marston couldn't get dialogue for. If you're wondering why some parts from these specific missions are missing like Hamish's second mission with the hunting, and Albert Masons alligator missions and horse missions, it Is because it's basically repeated dialogue from the first encounter. The Dutchess Exotics missions I couldn't seem to finish as Arthur because you needed 7 Lady Slipper Orchids however only 6 would appear for Arthur, I even tried going to tall trees but they didn't spawn in their usual spots there either. The missions at the beginning were missions that only had one mission where John speaks about Arthur.
@@remnantsoftheashes3767 I think you're mistaking with the lady who collect dead animals and turn them into stuffed dolls (for It's Art trophy/achievement). With this one you can complete with Arthur, with that one and Jeremy Gill's (even though his cutscene was cut before release of the game, but some modder managed to restore it with his dialogues) you can't. Oh and Deborah, but that one can be completed with Arthur as well ONLY through trainer or New Austin glitch (unpatched version).
xXSilentAgent47Xx no I couldn’t complete the Algernon mission with Arthur. Couldn’t collect all the plants some of them don’t spawn until you’re John Marston so I couldn’t do them.
@@remnantsoftheashes3767 Really? I figured out that some plants dont spawn till passing further of the story (before Chapter 5). There was one plant that would never spawn and had to trigger his mission request because that was the last one he wanted. Everyone was having same issue. I used the book to find their locations, one near the cave north-east at Big Valley (where bear spawns, but near the station) even did try using New Austin glitch to find it in Tall Trees and didnt spawn there as well. Then couple missions later when he requested more plants it finally spawned. It is scripted to do that. And i completed all his requests as Arthur.
Maybe I had a glitch then. That’s unfortunate because I couldn’t even get the first list of stuff he wanted. The orchid I needed wouldn’t spawn it was like 6 out of 7 checked all the locations even Tall Trees had like two I tried getting but they didn’t spawn in their spots either. That sucks. Try doing them as Arthur and then John see if he has anymore dialogue
It's nice to see Arthur touched so many people's lives. It's a video game but Arthur feels like a real person. That's how you know you've got one of the greatest games of all time on your hand.
I helped the woman hunt as Arthur but never got around to helping her learn how to aim as she was shooting bottles. When I went back as John to help her, I found her dead on her cabin floor.
I don’t know man, on one hand it feels wrong to not do these missions as Arthur, but on the other it’s awesome to see them all say Arthur was a good man.
i had to do all stranger missions as arthur, i always thought of the advice people gave me in the game: if you know you gonna die you at least can chose the way you go out, and helping people feels good and it makes happy! helping the lonely widow and going fishing/hunting with the old veteran where the best final days my arthur could have wished for!
It’s amazing how much care they put in the game. The different dialogue for each mission, even different parts of the same mission, show just how much work they put in.

I like how Hamish tries to make Arthur seem like a badass by telling John he killed the wolf with his bare hands, when actually it was his rifle. I mean Arthur is a badass, but still a nice touch.

Nah, seeing John with Hamish is wrong.
In my play through Hamish was Arthur's go to guy when he wanted to get away from the gang for a while.
ShoogaMoogaMan good luck with that, you’ll regret it boah.
@@Anonymous-ux8ku It was all a part of my plan Arthur, just have a little faith.
No, I actually like seeing John with Hamish. It’s like they became friends through Arthur.
In my 2 playthroughs i always did first 2 missions as arthur. He helps him and later catches that bigass fish for him. Then when i play as john i do the rest of the missions, and feels like the veteran is somewhat of a mentor for him, on the final mission hamish shows john the fish arthur caught years back aswell. Nice touch from r*
Plus you get to keep buel
David Z Nothing like putting on Arthur's hat and riding Buell up to the mountains with Charles and Sadie to stop Micah and avenge Arthur
The Widow and one legged hunter are two of my favorite quest lines in the game. Two of the saddest too, if completed by Arthur. Gave Arthur a glimpse of what his life could have been like if he would have given up on being an outlaw an found somewhere peaceful to live.
The ONLY thing I wouldve changed, is have Hamish make a comment like "i'll give Arthur your regards" before his passing on the final mission. He's a tough old bastard and seems like something he'd say at the end. RIP Hamish, you were my favorite stranger

I really like the small detail in Arthur's journal if you don't finish the veteran with Arthur and finish those missions with John. John writes a small note about how he can see why Arthur liked him so much. It's small but for some reason I've always liked that
If all it takes is for John to say he was a friend of Arthur and they trusted him, that tells you he was an amazing person
He wasn’t. Literally went to hell lmao
5:00 seeing her reaction genuinely made me smile. Just like seeing her interactions with Arthur... fuck.... I thought I'd never cry over this game again.
The outfit John wears in this video is the outfit from the artwork of RDR1
12:08 Thats a semi-replication of the "Deadly Assassin" outfit from RDR 1 right? looks fantastic, shame about not being able to use an eyepatch with it though!
I’m glad someone noticed.
Gabriel TS Gardner he’s actually wearing the cover art vest and tie in the first sequence too and the duster outfit when he talked to the painter. He even wore the legend of the west outfit when he saw Albert mason.
Gabriel TS Gardner how do i get that outfit bro the one at 12:08 it looks bad ass
You need to have good honor first.
Go to Wallace station. There is an outfit there with a black classic frock coat. Called the Drover get it.
A dark blue Paisley vest you get at any clothing store
The French dress shirt the legend of the east shirt if you don’t have it then the regular black one.
Work pants black pinstripe
Hunting Fowler boots brown
And a black stalker hat.
Deadly assassin would use the black estate boss hat from the gambler outfit

Hey so my friend died before he could carry out his life missions so I’m here to do it for him

That makes a lot of sense for a high honor Arthur though, since he would always help someone in need.

I agree.

I just noticed some of the more notably kind and interesting strangers get to know Arthur's name.. that brings me joy
Thank you so much for uploading this. Was debating on whether I should work on the 100% grind with Arthur or wait and do the missions with John, I think in the interest of time I'm probably going to do mostly everything with Arthur and clean up with John after for the legend of the east suit.
When people ask me why I like this game so much I answer them it's because of a good story and the little things being affected by it in the surroundings and as a player you can experience so many different scenarios
Respect to all rockstar employees who worked hard for this masterpiece hope GTA 6 or rdr3 is even better
2:34 Only person who ever speak facts about how many years passed after Arthur's last visit.
That’s because you can’t complete his missions as Arthur you can only finish his as John so his dialogue gears towards John and the 7 year jump.
Dang man. That’s sad. You didn’t kill her did you? Lol
The last one really hit me in the feels when john said “well hello Arthur”
I don’t know man, on one hand it feels wrong to not do these missions as Arthur, but on the other it’s awesome to see them all say Arthur was a good man.
I love how detailed Rockstar went with time like this. I noticed it when I played it twice. They did amazing with this.
i had to do all stranger missions as arthur, i always thought of the advice people gave me in the game: if you know you gonna die you at least can chose the way you go out, and helping people feels good and it makes happy!
helping the lonely widow and going fishing/hunting with the old veteran where the best final days my arthur could have wished for!
It’s amazing how much care they put in the game. The different dialogue for each mission, even different parts of the same mission, show just how much work they put in.
