My step father lived on the parade route on Orange Grove in 1962. I watched my first Rose Parade from there.

The Americana and the Glendale Galleria Mall are great but they're both practically a stones throw away from each other. Doesn't make you walk around too much and explore. I know Brand ave will give you what you want in the walking department. But Old Pasadena has all those shops and restaurants spread out and that takes you to the other parts of the city without even noticing. Much better because you get to discovery blocks and blocks of great eateries and shops. And don't forget about those great alleys.

You usually won’t see any predators but I would carry Bear spray in case you run into something.
@@livinginpasadena you usually won't see lions, but they will see you. If a large cougar wants to eat you, you will never see it until it's too late. Never hike alone.

Pasadena city college students have private Facebook groups where they post rooms for rent! That’s your cheapest option. However, if you want your own place I would check Zillow rentals for surrounding cities and watch my videos to know what they’re like!
