Thanks for entertaining us with your adventures, you’ve provoked an ongoing discussion in this household about when we’re going to get over to Europe and challenge ourselves a bit more. , Dyfi is definitely on my to do list !
It is always tough as many reasons to do the trip in the future and not now. We had quite a few things happen this year that made a trip unlikely. We finally saw a window and booked flights a few weeks before leaving. Very happy with my decision now.
That is how I ride. I almost never crash when I evaluate things well. I crash on random things I have either not looked at or ridden many times before.
Another brilliant and enjoyable video Lance and fair play to you Dyfi ain't no joke and you rode the bottom of race track very well ....loads of people push and crash that bit .....myself included !. Fantastic riding mate . Thank you for giving us some great videos of your time over here and looking forward to seeing you back .
Thanks so much. I would like to do more riding in the UK sometime. Was hoping more people would offer to show me around but I guess I am not that bigger celebrity yet.😂😂😂
Great riding and I appreciate the effort to keep the lens clear - danger wipes I think some people call them! Dyfi looks super fast like Bike Park Wales but certainly more gravity focused! Glad you are enjoying Scotland too - my local trails are Central Scotland but travel all over to ride anywhere good!
I lost count of how many wipes I must have done. I normally do them with the seat up but didn't have that option so a little bit sketchy. I wish I had my own bike in Scotland. Would definitely have ridden more.
This really has been a fantastic series, Lance. I've thoroughly enjoyed every vid in it! Would love to show you around the Peak District if you ever come this way again, plenty to go at! Thanks for the flowers, too! 😊
That would be really great. Not sure when, but you never know. When I initially thought about the trip I imagined riding with lots of locals who follow the channel. The difficulty was communicating this in advance. I have had some great offers like yours but sadly after I have already left. Hopefully next time I can sort my act out better.😄
That was pretty dam decent of Mach10 Cycles to make that offer. If nly that had heard of ebokes in Wales. Water in your face or across out lens yeah definitly better for us. THat second wall you showed us had your name all over it you would have nailed it. They gave you plenty of catch face on that rough track for you. Soooooo Mrs BDE is reseptive to you stayng in Wales from nother 8 weeks to get those jumps sorted.
Great video Lance.ive really enjoyed latching on to your channel and your UK series, your a natural at this youtube thing fella! ( I bet you wish your purchased a mudguard off that young fella? I couldn’t imagine not having one in the UK slop😂)
They look really good tracks, even though I live in England, I never been to them. I should make an effort. Well done on getting all the jumps dialled at the endLance.👌
Definitely a great day out. Everyone was very friendly. The thing I like about vehicle uplifts over chairlifts is you get to talk and meet people. I did try riding with some people but when I wanted to do the harder trails they didn't want to join me and when I did do the harder trails I couldn't keep up with the fast boys.
DYFI is one of 3 spots I’ve ridden that can hold water and still have grip being completely soaked. It’s the welsh sorcery and the Atherton magic. Love that place.
Awesome job Lance, riding some tough old tracks blind, in the wet and on someone else’s bike👊. Thought we might get to see you walk some of those features at the bottom of Racetrack - I’ve come a cropper into the safety net there more than once. Your riding looks to have progressed through this series, faster with more confidence. Pretty hard not to improve after so much time on big mountains👌 Thanks for these Euro vids, really enjoyed them all - seeing so many familiar tracks through a kiwi’s eyes👌
Thanks so much for watching the videos. The funny thing is I have got good at steep techy rocky tracks but have forgotten how to jump. Spent 5 hours yesterday sessioning the local jump tracks to get my eye in again. Would loved to have followed someone down those trails at DYFI, it is a bit nerve racking not knowing what is coming.
hey Lance hope its going good, just wwant to say that i saw you today at woodhill at side of fries. did not want to say anything because then it would've been weird, love to content
7 to 9 hour drive… 😳 Looks like a very nice park, does it ever dry up. On the long downs, do you always use the same foot forward or do you switch? Nice video & super nice series thanks! 👍
I could have stayed in Scotland as plenty of riding there but I have wanted to go to DYFI for a long time. I was going to leave it but then thought, this may turn out to be my only chance in life to go so got in the car and started driving. Same foot forwards unless pedaling.
Any video with Rachel Atherton is a good video, legend.
She was a good sport about it.😊
good sport playing along here!

Thanks Lance glad that I'm not the only one over thinking some of those tracks

Loved the whole series Lance! Huge thanks for sharing your exploits!
Glad you enjoyed it. Will have to think up something new back in NZ
It’s been a brilliant series Lance, loved every minute it, must have been difficult at times safe trip back 👍👍
Thanks, back home now and next Saturday is video with the guys
Thanks Lance for taking us on the journey. Great videos finished off with Dyvi. One to remember for a long time.
Yes DYFI was a great way to finish the trip. Left feeling very satisfied.

Have absolutely enjoyed these vids of your trip, watched every minute 👌.
Thanks, looking forward to some Rotorua rides soon.
This one popped up as a suggestion Mate so watched it. Great vid. Have subscribed 👍
Glad to have you on the team. Back in NZ now but have some playlists from my Europe trip.

Dyfi bike park looks like fun, really enjoyed the series Lance, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and giving feedback. It is always appreciated.😄
Look so epic!! Good on you.
Thanks. Was a fun day.

@bestdayevermtb2 welcome anytime buddy. 😊
Awesome Lance. You deserve a lot more recognition 👍👍
Thanks, although I already find it hard to go to the supermarket without mobs of people wanting my autograph and selfies.😂😂😂
@@bestdayevermtb2 I wouldn’t expect anything less 😂

Would have loved a mudhugger. Didn't really think about it till I arrived at DYFI.😂
Really enjoyed the whole series Lance. Great edit. Glad you made it back in one piece. They were some gnarly trails in Wales 🙌😎🤙
Was glad to survive that day. Would have been easy to crash there.
@@bestdayevermtb2 yeah it looked so sketchy on some of those features, like the drift down the off camber rock. Ye haaah

I was expecting it to be slippery but felt quite confident with grip.
what were the other two? Rotorua and ??
@@chrzzzzz one is my local trail’s where I’m from and the other is Pacific Northwest.

Those trails looked flowy and fun. Yup some steepies in there.😁
There were a couple of triple blacks I didn't do. I was warned they would be almost unrideable when wet and didn't want to fall on a big rock slab.🤔
Haha yea i saw how carefull you were being. On your own aswell. Real bad conditions risky as.👌🤙
you were riding like Danny Hart on his GT!
those jumps where the face is taller than I am, are definitely not my thing!
Some of those big lips, I was worried about just getting up to the top let alone clearing the jump.😄
Lance well done riding dyfi on yr own respect! Which gloves were yu using 1st half of vid?
I ride with Leatt gloves. I change them so the lens wipes stay effective. That ride I literally wiped the lens filmed a tiny bit then repeated.
hey Lance hope its going good, just wwant to say that i saw you today at woodhill at side of fries. did not want to say anything because then it would've been weird, love to content
Would not be weird at all. I had a great day with loads of people coming up and saying hi. Next time, come over for a chat.😊
yes
Looks like a fun day out.
Have you thought about doing Hamsterley forest as there are some fantastic trails.
That was my last ride. Back in NZ now. Maybe next time.
Glad you were able to visit the UK.
Temperature are a little wetter and colder than in NZ I imagine lol.
@@anthonybrown7959 To be honest August in Scotland felt like August in NZ
Rachel....So personable!
She was very nice, as was Dan.
Brilliant video I’d like to do dyfi when I get a pair of big boy pants only a couple of hours drive for me too
Leatt sell them. Go for it.😂

Hope you got a selfie with the local!
Certainly did.
Pretty standard day in Wales if I'm honest.
At least I got the authentic experience 😂
How was the gt to ride......????
I really liked it. Very playfull
What does it cost in NZ dollars to ride Dyfi?
About $100, slightly cheaper on Thursday and Friday. Note they don't open Mon/Tue/Wed.
Is Dyfi ever dry?
Is Wales ever dry?
I did meet a guy who had been 6 times, and it was wet every time.
@@bestdayevermtb2 I don’t think I’ve seen a dry video since it opened. Looks amazing nonetheless!
If you know Wales , you would know it’s normal lol
Was a great day either way.
haha all ones to ask, he ended up talking to rachel atherton. damn
I asked her if she would mind me filming her and she was good about it.
@bestdayevermtb2 yeah all the athertons are great. Least that's one thing you can tick off meeting one of the athertons 😁
@@k0obies Met 2. Dan also.
