Woo hoo so glad you've finally ridden with Sam and BV. Sam is one of my best friends and I've been riding with him in the alps since 2003. I've done the North and South Alpacker 4 times (love them) and so so hope you loved the trip too. The south is definitely my favourite. I'm off on Tuesday to do the Italian Alpacker with Sam (mainland Italy and the Isle of Elba). Sooo looking forward to the rest of your videos. Thank you so much for the memories x
@@bkxcthank you for doing this. It is great to see the ride through someone else’s eyes and to see them enjoy it too 👍👍👍. I see part two it out. Currently with Sam on the Elba Alpacker so a group viewing I think. Looking forward to seeing it. All the best and thank you again for your videos
Man this trail is insane! Looks like one misplay on some of those rock obstacles would lead you tumbling down a cliff for a thousand feet! Id be hesitant to walk this trail, let alone ride it! Awesome video
aw right, Brian. What the heck? I'm thinking, yah, I got what it takes until 18:15 when i realize my palms are sweating, my quads are tense, and I'm holding my breath AND I"M ON MY COUCH. When there's serious consequence, my phobia's take over and suddenly I can't anymore. Well done.
As a frenchman i confirm, french people are all about a baguette, some butter and jam. IN our culture it seems the breakfast must be sweet. But more and more people around me are switching to a salty breakfast. Spouse, colleages, more and more are eating eggs and beacon. As an american you may be able to find some peanut butter in the "world cuisine" row in the next supermarket. NO coirssants for people doing sports. Your breakfast just make your blood sugar sky rocket and get down even faster.
Just finished a 6 day ride from the Alps to the Mediterranean last month. It was epic, but super challenging. Try hiking an e-bike 😂 It was ruthless! Lol. Hope you learned to love those tight “Euro turns”, they don’t end. What an experience though. Sick footage!
I hear ya on the eggs Brian. I use to have 4 eggs a bagel with cream cheese and honey for breakfast, which would hold me over, on a normal work day for 4 hours. Unfortunately eggs now cause eczema on my hand so now eating granola which holds me up for maybe 2.5 hours…anyways, I miss eating eggs. Keep up the riding, cheers!
I'm always the last up to the top on hike a bikes. Andrew or Jamie are always waiting a the top top for me. Shame you didn't get to do a mountain while you were here.
The surroundings are so steep just after 18:00 that it looks like you must be leaning to the left or something. Rare that a camera captures it so well. Edit: And then he goes and brings up the gopro effect right after lol. Nah, we get it this time. It looks gnarly and it's some great footage.
That ridge is absolutely unreal
So, so nice!

Yeah, some really crazy exposure!
Scotland and now this! Man you are living it up! Looks like an amazing ride.
It seems everything in the French Alps is epic. This is a place that I'd love to visit some day to see those views.
Epic around every corner!
I don't know what was worse, the tightening taint as you rode teh exposure, or the Specialized creaking like the most haunted cabin ever. Great vid
Hahaha
Stunning, great trip. So blessed!!!
My butt was puckering just watching all that exposure!
It was definitely steep!
That's some fantastic scenery. Really liked the ridge line & descent around 13:45. Very cool stuff!

Yep, tastes great but it's burned off after an hour!

Oh boy, I can only imagine!!
30 miles did not sound that much, until I saw it 😯 And 65 kg, had no idea you were that light. I'm 69 kg these days, def. helps on the hills.
Hahaha
Watched in Golden BC, a super cool ride video to end a day of driving
Love to hear it!

It's a struggle!

Scenery looks absolutely beautiful. But tbh, not sure about the fun factor of climbing and actual riding.
It paid off!
All of the food in France sucks haha not just breakfast
Most European countries too, other than Italy which has great food
Good pastries though!
