I'm not saying one is more important or does more than another, I just respect folks with the work ethic and DYI attitude to get out there and do it year after year for like decades. The typical problem is most towns have their equivalent to the A call list -the elite few that get most of the work, for recording, Broadway acts, or performers like Dr. John or George Jones, that almost always used to hire local for their shows.
