Rockstars die all the time, but Riley's death actually makes me so mad. They made arguably one of the best metal albums of the modern times, his charisma and stage presence was insane. And for him to die so young when Power Trip was just getting some good amount of attention. Rest In Peace Riley, it's a helluva show wherever you are now.
I know man it's so sad. I can't believe how good Power Trip was - I can't believe there will be no more music from this great band - they captured and reinvented everything I love about classic thrash and made it sound fresh again.
Yeah man, we was robbed!!! Imagine how they would be today with Riley still at the helm. Seth does okay, no knock to him, but Riley was so energetic on stage and had a great voice.
it made me mad as well. just when i had faith the rug was pulled. bon scott , stevie ray , the same feeling. Ever get the feeling you have been ripped off ?

Ye man, so fuckin sad. I still have tickets for Powertrip, Kreator and Lamb of god concert. The concert was postponed from Summertime to December... Now I'm not sure about anything... fuck. RIP Riley Gale man.
Fuck me. This is the most amazing thing I’ve heard in 25 years. And the only reason I found this video is because I read about the singer’s death. Heartbreaking. Such raw talent.
About those moongels on the snare: Glenn Fricker from SMG let out a trick from Nashville to eliminate snare ring without those things. All you have to do is detune the three nearest tuners by 3-5 half turns or just enough to ripple the skin. It’s totally free and works exactly as advertised. No more t-shirts on the skin or any other bs to buy. It’s like firgin magic
I saw Power Trip open for Exodus and Obituary in 2017 and was floored by them. I loved them from that very moment and I knew they were going places. After their set, I went to the merch stand where they were hanging out. I bought a CD and a patch (would've bought more if I had more cash.) I shook all of their hands and said they were incredible. Then I said to Riley, "You guys are going to be selling out stadiums, and I'm gonna be there." Riley shook my hand and said, "We'll see you there." Then I saw them open for High on Fire in 2019 and everyone I spoke to was there for Power Trip, not Matt Pike and company. It filled my heart to see them rising in popularity. Got the shit kicked out of my nose which wasn't fun lol Rest in peace to one of the best frontmen and humble performers I've ever seen.
thats sounds like a bad as fuck show…! exodus lost paul to meth and power lost riley to fetty..… i do both those drugs evwryday…they must of had a better connect than me
What a fucking jawbreaker this band!!!! Just saw this all the way here in the south of Brazil. I play drums in a thrash band. We're recording our stuff now. Jesus fucking christ. This is amazing shit!!!!! You dont see bands like this anymore. R.I.P Riley. I know how it is. It's cunning and sweet. But mostly evil. 7yrs sober now. Hope you guys are still playing. Its super fucking hard to replace someone like Riley. Good luck to you guys!!!🤙😎🤘
😢I'm 45 years old and just scheduled my second neck surgery. 35 years of headbanging has come to its inevitable end. I can't feel most of my left hand. Haven't played guitar in months. This set breaks my fucking heart. (And my neck) Keep the horns up, amigos. I'll see you at the edge of the pit. 😢❤🎉
RIP Riley. Not a fan of metal tbh and here because of a friend who told me about his demise. His exuberant presence while performing yet a friendly touch to him is what got me engaged till the last. Started to appreciate thrash metal now. Riley will be remembered.
This is the most awesome band and performer I have ever heard. and I heard a lot. I think if I had listened live with those lucky people, I would have been blown away.
I always knew the name Power Trip but the day I sat down and gave the band a true listen (and loved it) was the day he died, I shit you not. I took it as a sign to become a huge fan and help preserve his legacy so people will always know his name and music!
"To anyone watching at a later time, anywhere" here I am drinking by myself and roaming through UA-cam shows. Tks, Gale, rest in peace, my brother. Greetings from South America Brazil

I have a friend from Arkansas that set up their equipment and he sent me a text about them!Ha said it sounded like they were chopping heads live!!!RIP. Riley We miss the hell out of ya!

The universe is chaotic and random. Our existence is but a blip. And we are not relevant. It's the only way to explain how a bright star such as this can blink out without good reason. We miss you, dude.
Riley had great vocal talent and as a tremendous frontman, he was an important part of the spirit of Power Trip, it will be difficult to replace him… RIP Riley
Thanks Pat, I was lucky in that I was able to sneak in a ribbon mic (just over kick, looking at the snare) , mix it afterwards and take my time and also what a drummer!!! So sad about Riley, RIP

So fucking sad.
Was so crushed when I heard that. God this year fucking sucks
Same. Truly a sad day. Was really looking forward to a chance to see them live after this shitty pandemic.
That sucks man. I always look forward to seeing Power Trip where they come back to the city where it all began..
Such a shame, he always seemed like a really great guy
I come back to this video almost daily. RIP Riley
RIP Riley. Way too young.
No. It's approximately the correct age to depart, for these turkeys 🦃

38 and I fully agree with you! Getting ready to see them here in a week at full Terror assault for the second time
I think they have some heavy oldschool slayer vibe going on as well as the other obvious influences!
@irishmetalfan I saw them last december when they were touring with cannibal corpse and they really are fucking amazing live
Remind me of S.O.D.. Fucking love this shit
I think I've watched this video more than 20 times in one year
Came to watch again after I heard the news. Rip Riley!

Yep. Me too. Too damn good to go so soon.

This set is such a staple for me. Every couple months I come back and watch the set. Such a kick ass set.
Me too. Whenever I need to get in a zone at work, I listen to this set for a kickstart.
Seriously. Bringing that sht to the table.
That opening riff gave me a combo of chills and sadness at the same time. Powerful. RIP Riley.
I saw them just before Riley passed. If you’re one of those that never saw this band and think you missed out, yeah, you fuckin missed out.
I see that 😢
