I love that Aleah's necklace has been featured in many songs Juha has done since her death....Hallatar's "My Mistake" and Trees Of Eternity's "Broken Mirror." Very special ❤
Heartstrings Shattering is also great, speaking of Mikko's voice...and there are many more...but you are right, in this song he is top notch .

@@digibreakthe1st12 Look for Trees of Eternity. Juha and Alieah were in that band. If I'm correct this album is a tribute to her. This album is from lyrics of one of her songs.

@@iantackett8431 I think her work was performed in the band Hallatar, which has Juah, singer of Amorphis and singer of Draconian on it. Could be this one too, not sure. Juha and Aleah were in a relationship together. She passed from cancer. It is heartbreaking.

I found these guys on accident a few months ago on Spotify on a random metal playlist that I was just browsing because I was bored. And I'm glad I did. They are an amazing band that needs more recognition as well as When A Shadow Is Forced Into the Light is a masterpiece.

Just found this song and it describes my life in 2019. I started to live again during the first half of the pandemic year again.
STS and the Music of Aleah helped me through the struggle I felt inside myself. I started with healing myself again and the peaces of my heart sticked slowly together. Never underestimate the power of music 💗.

Jaani Peuhu added so much to the band. I absolutely love his solo works and Iconcrash, and never thought he'd fit so well with Sawllow The Sun.

I cannot describe the feeling exactly but i went to the same and somehow this songs relieved me. It's like i can finally breath again since then.
I bought a ticket to the CoB tour JUST to see this band. So worth every penny.

I seriously wept almost the whole time listening to this album tonight. So many references to the nightingale. May she live on in our memories and hearts for eternity.
Yesterday the CD arrived and I just finished listening to it, and... it's hard to describe what I feel now. It's mesmerizing, beautiful, beyond anything I've heard before. It's the very first album with music that I actually bought, and I can say that it was well worth it. The feelings in Your music are incredibly deep, I identify with it very much. And I want to assure you that I am praying for you Guys every day, so we can one day meet in Heaven, along with Aleah, and sing all of Your masterpieces for eternity. It gives me enormous hope that the sadness is only temporary. I wish You all the best! Love from Poland - Love that is always stronger than death!

You guys really went all out with this album. It's brilliant. I mean it's not often that I put an entire album on loop because one play through just isn't enough.
One of the few albums I've ever heard where an extraordinarily heavy band went mostly softer and I enjoyed it just about as much as the rest of their material. I see good things happening to these guys because of this.

violins are the only instrument, which can bring you wet eyes....and 64 creeps here didn't like this beautiful song....the end screams one word: aleah....the cutest nightingale. R.I.P, you're being missed forever.
I play violin, I play classical piano.
Sometimes I even have to stop myself from getting emotional when I play myself. When I hear others playing it though, I let it out.

Century media has made an excellent move by signing these guys. I used to be a huge fan of Century Media back in Mitch Lucker days. They had all the bands I loved hearing. And now it is happening again. Swallow the Sun is going to be huge.
STS is already pretty big. They've been a huge band in the doom metal community for quite some time.

One of best 2019 albums yet!
This album truly is not for the faint hearted. I almost could not make it to the end. Lyrics are crushingly hard, I mean, death has never taken someone I loved. But I am dead to someone who I truly loved, so I lost her forever. That feeling to loose someone so close to you is one of the worst, if not the worst feeling someone can ever feel. And this album just splatters it out to your face.
Umm. Maybe it sounds weird, but I really never felt anything when anyone died, nomatter how important for me the person was

They've really progressed from the on STS album I have which is the 2008 release Hope. This and the other song I've heard of their forthcoming album are super good. I love the use of more clean vocals and the increased level of musicianship.
