Seven and Steph , Dr. Ken Berry has a live on now 7/28/23. If you rewatch it, about 30-40 minutes in he speaks to a (600 lb.) gentleman as to what he can eat and what spices he can have.
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and French's yellow mustard (as it hasn't any sugar added).
A tad later in the show he mentioned drinks.
    Water, coffee, and unsweetened tea
Also check out his book, "Lies My Doctor Told Me" 😢

Wonder if you all have recently done blood tests for cholesterol, iron, vitamin levels, etc and how that would compare to after you've done the diet for several weeks. Would be interesting to see how it affects your blood chemistry profiles. Glad you are enjoying it. You've had a lot of stress this year so hope it all is downhill from here.

Carnivore diet cured so much for me!
    * No more perimenopause- completely reversed!
*Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself!
    *No more night sweats
*No more waking every 2 hours at night!
*It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast!
    *No more life long eczema
    *No more cold hands
*No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun.
*No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea)
*No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm
*No more purple looking hands in winter
    *No more brain fog
*No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows
*used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more!
*Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight.
*Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing!
*Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well.
*Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s.
*Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me.
*No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach!
*Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup!
*no cravings unless they are for meat
*no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago.
*No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods
    * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller.
*feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that.
    * i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming before Carnivore. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights.
    * no more body odor!
    * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much.
*I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that.
    * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things.
*Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing!
*no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing!
    * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too!
If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻
I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic!
The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

I did this just recently, but I did the least restrictive one that you were talking about. I actually downloaded the keto app and monitored my intake from that app. So far I have lost 30 pounds all the inflammation in my body went away, and my sugar levels for my blood A1C went back to normal. They were running high before borderline being put on those pills. As far as bowel movements went, I would go back-and-forth. Sometimes I would get diarrhea other times I would get severely constipated which is what happens with eating so much meat. Also everyone gets different with the keto flu when I transitioned into ketosis I got severely nauseous and a really bad stomach ache for an entire day. I was freaking out I told my husband. If this continues I’m not gonna do this. I couldn’t handle two days or even three days with a stomach ache. Keeping up on your electrolytes is super important and the salt as one previous person stated on here. You’ll have to learn to incorporate more fiber if you start getting constipated it’s all a balancing act. It’s amazing though how your hunger pains go away you can go almost an entire day at times without even thinking about food. Most people though do this just to lose weight so be careful. Also, I noticed a lot of muscle definition was lost. It’s hard to build for some reason while on this diet. Getting all that sugar out of my system I haven’t had any more hypoglycemia episodes. The last thing I’m going to state was I have cholesterol issues and I thought maybe this would correct itself but I found out from my physician I should have been focusing on fish and lean meat not red meat. My cholesterol actually went up for the last part of the diet for me I am now focusing on fish and lean meat. 😊.

WOW - that was an Aha Moment, when Steph said it might be cheaper and the cupboards won't have anything in them. Cuz after 7 years of whole-food plant-based eating, I know how that is. You had to have all the stuff and ingredients to make a meal, and that was just the pantry stuff. Forget all the veggies and beans. Time consuming. And yes Steph, a lot of food went in the garbage, either from spoilage, or the due date was old. So, I think I agree - Carnivore might be cheaper.

Hi there. Lard comes from a pig and beef tallow from cows. You can use it just like lard. Save it to reuse. My Dad used it as butter on his toast, he lived to be 90! He never ate beef fat without rendering down. Pure beef tallow is shelf-stable, so it can sit on the counter at room temperature for days in an air-tight container. It's best to keep it in the fridge when not using to prevent accidental oxidization, though it's not necessary. The main thing to focus on is making sure the jar it's in is sealed properly. You can also freeze beef tallow for several months. I hope this helps. 💖Still praying for you Stevie 🙏🏻💖

A couple things to consider, have beef Jerky on hand for snacks, either buy it or buy the meat and make your own. And use your air fryer for some things. For example I make chicken gizzards for my dog in mine but for myself I made some
chicken livers in it for myself and it was so good. I didn't bread it like you normally do or add onions, just the liver with some salt. There's a different type of jerky that's been out for a few years, it's called Wag bars an Wag bites made from Waygu beef. The company is in Oklahoma and I've heard so many people rave about it. People that don't like regular jerky because of the texture like this. Good luck.

Drinking a lot of water may help with constipation, and if it gets bad, a Tablespoon of Milk of Magnesia will help A LOT. I usually only have to take it once, to get things going. I've had two bowel obstructions, and I can promise you, you don't want that! Even if milk of magnesia may not be an "approved item" for your diet, throwing up what looks like poop, and being put on an NG tube, along with some of the most excruciating pain, isn't worth the risk.

I'm glad that this carnivore diet is working for you. My Father had a hernia in his small intestines. The surgeon had to remove most of his small intestines, which digest all your food. A nightmare, you bet!! He lived 15yrs with problems trying to digest his food. It was horrible for him and a nightmare for us. My Father died 1990 and my parents were separated then. My siblings and myself were not there when he died. My Father's Mother came to Tucson and had my Father buried up in New York. Plus the trust fund went to my cousins instead of his children!!! Angry you bet!!! My Father worked for ABC TV and this big company wouldn't cover his hospital stays so my Mom's insurance covered what ABC TV wouldn't!! Universal Healthcare is what we need!! Joan

Finding the right combination of what to eat is getting to be a full time job for so many of us, one of the things that I have learned over the years is that there is a long list of our foods are banned in Europe. That to me is a big red flag on what we are putting in our bodies.

Once the hungry feeling goes away I stop eating, I never eat until I’m stuffed. I think if I did I think I would feel sick. So eating until your content is good enough for me which is sticking with serving sizes. So for dinner I eat only chicken for meat everyday one chicken leg, one scoop of potatoes with nothing on them, and a serving size of asparagus for dinner and I’m content. My sugar has come down a lot, and starting to lose weight which is a good thing.

When I wanted to take a break from the biologics and try and control my flare ups and pain with diet, my Rheumatologist gave me a diet that had zero animal meat and especially staying away from processed foods (for example bacon). Looking forward to hearing about your results. Have you tried the low FOD-MAP diet? It's the diet that removes foods that cause bloating, diarrhea and gas. Best of luck and following 💞

You mentioned that you buy meat on sale so I gather that is a grocery store product. Have you considered contacting a farmer for a grass fed beef? You could probably opt for a half or find someone to share it with if you think that is too much a once. I'm in Canada and my last premium farm grass fed beef was $5.00 a pound. I only took a half which was 400 pounds. Grass fed beef is healthier and cheaper in the long run. You or the farmer could arrange to take it to a locker plant for processing. They will cut it however you like - whether it be roasts, steaks, ribs, or ground meat. We also bought two bison in the past - the meat is a little leaner and has higher protein but also has certain nutrients that beef doesn't.

    • @StevenSteph
      @StevenSteph  11 місяців тому +1

We’d love to find a farmer (we live near San Diego so it’s not a lot of farmland down here) but we will try! We do only eat grass fed since Steve has a gluten allergy and autoimmune disorders so we try to eat as clean as we can. I’ve seen extra sensitive to grain people react to grain fed cows in the autoimmune groups I’m in so I try my best. ❤️ I just bought some bison steaks day before yesterday! I think we’re going to try them today! Fun! 🤞🏼

@@StevenSteph Our bison were yearlings so the meat was very tender... it can be a little tougher with the lower fat content - I found the ground meat easier to prepare. Our bison source is no longer raising bison so we are now sourcing our meat from the butcher shop. Some colonies now sell farm raised animals - that could be another source for you if you have any type of colonies. All of the doctor shows I watch recommend grass fed so glad to hear you are trying that route. Thank you for the reply. I am wishing you both success in good health.

My husband could never lose weight. He stopped drinking soda and never lost a pound. You'd thing drinking six sodas a day then none you'd lose a freiken pound. Only when I started cooking keto he lost 65 lbs. Covid hit and he gained it all back. It all came back around his stomach and back hips. Which we read thats what happens. I think we need to eat in moderation and make life decisions that work. Eating meat and fat isn't a good way to live. Besides Steve and Steph don't need to lose but I get health. Certain foods effect different people., I can't eat salty foods or my lupus flares up and my body literally is cropped up.
