I love, love, loveeeee the look of the herringbone crochet stitch and you really have made the easiest tutorial to follow! I have watched countless tutorials trying to get the hang of this stitch, but every method I've learned is complicated and time consuming so I never use it. You have changed my crocheting life. It is so easy to see exactly what you're doing and which space you're putting stitches in and the pacing of your narration and the speed with which you are crocheting is perfect for me to follow along so I'm not having to pause and rewatch it a million times. Thank you so much for making this tutorial!!!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I was looking at a lot of herringbone stitches that were a lot more complicated than this. Your tutorials never disappoint and I appreciate you using your hands to convey information as I watch without sound. Perfection !
This is a great tutorial and so easy to follow! Finally I found the herringbone half double crochet stitch tutorial I can follow! I made two pot folders and whole bunch of coasters!! I made some single crochet boarders on a pot holder with variegated bulky yarn and it looks so cute! They end up very plushy and it feels so great and soft! I’m planning to make a few placemats. Thanks for the fantastic tutorial! Please keep it up! 💕
Can you post a link to where to buy that yarn? I can't seem to find it or any good dupes for it. 😫 Thank you for the video! I'm excited to try it out! 😊
Would this same technique work for the Herringbone double and single crochet? I want to substitute the pattern’s way of making this stitch for YOUR way! Your way is WAY easier ❤
It’s very difficult to see exactly where u r placing the hook into which hole. As you bend the work while you put hook into the stitch, you are obscuring the front of the work by bending it forward. U R going too fast too. Please slow down and try to be conscious of different skill levels. I have been crocheting, knitting and sewing for 5+ decades and I have trouble seeing what you are doing. Sorry, not being rude, just want to see technique clearly. Thanks.
It’s crazy how that one little extra yo makes this fabric so dense! It’s a really good looking stitch! Thanks for sharing!
I know it totally blows my mind how easy this stitch is🤯
Great Tutorial...

@@DaysCrochetI used 5 different colors of this yarn so far. One of my favorites from Big Twist.
Can’t find the yarn at Joann’s. Any thoughts?
They stopped carrying it😔 if you want the same yarn, Hobbii carries something very similar in their Bungee yarn line. hobbii.com/bungee-mini
Can you post a link to where to buy that yarn? I can't seem to find it or any good dupes for it. 😫
Thank you for the video! I'm excited to try it out! 😊
It’s been discontinued 😩
@@DaysCrochet Oh no! 😫 do you have any recommendations for a similar yarn?
@@amandasmith4794 I only have seen similar yarns on Hobbi and ICE yarn websites, unfortunately
Nice tutorial. You talk nice and slow, very easy to understand.

To be honest, I'm not sure because I've never tried them. I will look and see!
I never saw a Herringbone stitch done by going through the post. Makes a thick weave, but probably too stiff for a cardigan. Interesting.😊
This is really not an easy way.
What way do you suggest?
