Thanks for this tutorial! A year ago I got too frustrated learning herringbone, and I've just had success with this video! I like how well you show what you're doing and the color of your yarn is lovely to look at. My suggestions for anyone having trouble learning this stitch are 1. to use a size larger hook so stiches are looser and it's easier to pick up the 3rd bar and work from the back side, and 2. Practice with chunky acrylic yarn because cotton yarn isn't stretchy and can be a pain to learn an "intermediate" stitch like this one while using thin cotton yarn, especially if your stiches have a tighter tension.

Totally agree.. when learning a new stitch, a size 6 mm hook with #4 worsted weight is easier to use and see your stitches... your video was good and easy to follow. Thank you
