If i'm not mistaken: Curtis Blackburn murdered Dan Smith before Dan had been reincarnated as one of Harman's personae. Following that, once Harman had him under his control he was killed along with the rest of the seven at the Union Hotel.
Coyote's street smart and agility contrasts to his death being outwitted by Emir. Kaede's sacrificial barrier breaking ability contrast to her running away and hiding inside a barrier (closet) without warning her mates. Dan didn't change much....he's just pure badass with a lotsa yappin.
@@mengo329 I don't even think he was really outperformed. Garcian and him both shot at the same time, but Garcian I believe was immune to anything but the Golden Gun so Dan's revolver didn't affect him at all.

@soulwrappin at first I thought the same thing, but if you listen closely you can hear that Dan shoots first - since the gun is offscreen he may not have been aiming at Emir when he shot him, or Emir could have been completely unaffected.
you are not mistaken. then emir bring resurrects their personae inside him according to their personalities and deathstyle. most of the abilities of the killer 7 are contrasting to their deaths. i.e. con smith's ultra hearing and speed contrast the fact that he did not hear emir comin and did nothing.
its been a while since i saw this. but yeah, nuthin's change about Dan, he beat Emir to the draw, but didn't pull the trigger...don't think somebody with quick gundrawing skills do not have quick trigger skills. maybe he wanted it? i don't know...i hope for a prequel. since a sequel is not goin to happen

I think Dan ended up just becoming a far more capable fighter, as he was narrowly out-performed by Emir.
