i understand tyre temperature is very important on circuit racing.. but im not quite sure how relevant would it be for rally games.. one can just assume tyres are already heated from driving from one stage to another.. and you will only have to drive for like 10 minutes at most on the long stages (assuming there wont be 30+ km long stages) Also, im really curious to how you think air temperature and wind would affect the cars... im sure it has some effect, but its probably negligeable
@@projectdvan4568 I mean, its fair to point it all out just for comparison purposes with other games But im not sure how i feel about pointing all those negligible stuff as flaws
I don't know if what I'm saying is truly bullshit or not, but, the tyre temperature affects mostly the grip and durability of the tyre itself, so manage this factor could be crucial to gain 0.01s or more. the air temperature can lead to a power loss in your engine in real life, so, when the air temperature is high, you'll need to cooldown the car sometimes and wind because of the aerodynamics and downforce, these cars have a low gravitional center, so, the wind affects how much the car will stay on the ground, how it will make turns, etc. (These are the effects in real cars, so, if WRC 9 is a simulation game, it would be nice to consider these facts)
I really doubt wind would affect rally cars that much.. wrc cars are not that fast, neither that aerodynamic.. probably would not even be noticeable for a simulator, unless you put the cars under 150 km/h winds (which the race would probably be cancelled in this case) And again.. tyre temperature for a 5 minute stage, really?! It would be just a useless stat. Maybe im just overreacting as to me those points seem pretty irrelevant.. What would be relevant to talk about would be VR support for example (3d view is much more important than any of those points.. and would be a real flaw for a 2020 simulator), but i dont remember he talking about it (could be wrong)
I really don't know If what i've said is real, but, My track car is affected a lot in a 2 minutes lap with those points we're talking after, so, a stress based sports car like rally ones, can feel it a lot, but I don't know, if someone with the expertise to clarify our minds came here, it would be great hahahah
Hello Viper, I hope that you'll see this message. I just want to tell you something. Thank you. I follow you for a long time (3 years, but if I discovered you before it would be longer). I love all of your work and your passion. You gave me the motivation to play all of your games and I watch all of your videos from Belgium. I hope you are proud of you. Stay yourself :) PS: I hope to play with you one time.
I loved WRC 8 and I will love WRC 9, as well. Quick tip for you. When you write your script in English, make sure you look for the pronunciation of the English words, too. It will help you sound a lot better. Thanks for the review!
WRC 8 got me back into playing rally then racing games after a long absence (I played a lot of V-Rally and Richard Burns Rally). I went from WRC 8 to F1 2019 to Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa. it is still unmatched in the fun that I feel when driving the car, which for me is the most fun for me. I plan on getting WRC 9 because I really want to support KT, which doesn't micro transaction you with DLC, really loves adding features, and if they do this well resurrect my favorite racing game of all time the Original Test Drive Unlimited.
The WRC games just keep getting better and better for each iteration, which I can't really about many other series. The first games in the series were completely outclassed by other rally games but have steadily improved to the point where the WRC games can compete very well with the best Rally sims we have. I still think Richard Burns Rally is the best and most fun rally game ever made, if it is the most realistic I cannot say as I have never driven a rally car, but I still enjoy it the most.

Hey viper, what's your thoughts about the new project cars 3 game that is actually changing their "track" from simulation into arcade, and would you review it?
The best rally game of all the times in my opinion, it needs some improvements and a bit more content but the driving physics are miles above any other rally game.
When I said WRC 8 is good, they say, "viperconcept is a joke, He is AC fanboy.", "WRC 8 is Bad sound and bad graphics." "PC 1, 2 is a bad game." Really? I think they don't know the game well or hate honest reviews.
I’ve heard that in real life the cars have similar grip to gravel on snow so maybe that’s why it’s similar. Also there might not be many changes because it’s a yearly release game (and also corona)
I really love WRC 8. The damage system is really unforgiving on realistic. And the stages are really fun too. I will buy this one. To support them. Hoping they will improve more next time.
Thanks for the review!!! I'm looking forward to this game when it releases!! The fact that dlc will be free is great too although i hope this doesn't mean microtransactions.
I still prefer DR2 over Wrc8&9 for two simple reasons. Codemasters Knows how to polish their Games and their knowledge of making a good engine, which is beautiful and has a very good Performance. WRC on console with 30fps is pain in the ass. And secondly the Car selection. I Love to drive those group a, 2000cc, group b and older Cars. You dont get them in WRC in such a variety. But I'm still impressed with the evolution of this series.
It's good to have a preference, however WRC series have seriously improved in quality. Since WRC 8 they can finally go head to head with DiRT series, which is really something. The problem with Codemasters' games was that physics ever since DiRT 4 felt somewhat artificial, unreactive to variating track conditions and surfaces. The problem with DiRT 1, 2 and 3 was very arcadey feeling of driving. It just felt quite wrong and not fun (DiRT 3 was way too easy to drive in). And there really wasn't any good alternative to this single franchise for those that don't want a complete arcade game and appreciate a decent amount of realism. New WRC games aren't perfect either, but since they became quite good it's finally a good alternative for those frustrated with DiRT.
@@MJ-uk6lu You shouldn't be comparing with Dirt series. Dirt Rally 2.0 in my opinion was way better then WRC8 in terms of car physics, weight distribution, graphics, co-driver call outs. They lack in having better stages that were licensed off to WRC, but their stages aren't bad at all. The physics for tarmac wasn't the best, especially in Spain, but that's one of the small negatives of an overall better game. I will still get WRC9 as I like Rally sims more than anything.

I find it so difficult to think people genuinely enjoy the WRC games over Dirt Rally 2.0. I get the wrc cars, but the physics, the graphics, they're not even comparable. Can't wait till codemasters gets the WRC license. They will make the best rally game of all time.
DR2. 0. physics are artificial. The grip is unpredictable and unrealistic, the road feeling is non existed because of awful FFB. Wrc has better tyres physics and grip and awesome FFB. Also it has the best stage design ever in a rally game. Especially in tarmac is way better than Dirt rally 2.0.
Better than ASMR
Is it me or windows at this cars (especially at Fiesta and Fabia) looks like they never existed?
I love that a developer said that you wouldn’t have to buy dlc😂😂
♥️❤️
They not make a video of Career mode video so career mode probably same as 8
It wasn’t available in this early version
of the game so we don’t know yet
@@kihordanifuvarozokft they were released lot of career mode introduction in wrc8 way back on Release.
I mean look F1 2020 they announced 'My team career' which is new on career mode right at announce trailer.
All we know about their Announcement video was just new location
RAY M read the description
RAY M but yeah most likely nothing new but it hasn’t been confirmed yet
@@kihordanifuvarozokft even codemaster does the same thing back then f1 2018 and 2019 bexause theres nothing new
If theres something new then should be in Announcement trailer
How the hell did WRC8 physics impress you? You should give Dirt a try then.
