The cars were really difficult to control on landings after jumps, even on pretty slow jumps the cars went crazy on landings, and the force feedback didn't help. Also, I really liked the physics on slow bendy stages but the physics seemed weird to me on fast flowing stages. From what ive seen they seem to have improved on some of these problems.

1-10 Things to know. Don't buy this rubbish pile. Unless you want to buy WRC 8 again. Cars sound like a fart potato- Control on a horrible controller. It was the last time I actually listened to lies and put money in a wrc game series. Give the steering wheel where the steering wheel is. Steering at the wheel is the same as wrc 8 cars floating in the air without any weight or grip. There are better rally games on offer than any WRC ever made.
@@ATribeCalledCars WRC 8 had really bad physics. The stages are very impressive but what to do with it when the cars are undrivable...Surely it's not a simulator, maybe it is more like an arcade rally game.
It's a little arcadey but having done some rally there is accuracy in a lot of areas. Tarmac in WRC is better than in DiRT Rally 2.0. There's more force feedback on terrain. The sensation of speed is more accurate. Also the likes of lift-off oversteer is handled better - in DiRT Rally 2.0 I read actual rally drivers had trouble controlling it compared to real life. Difficulty doesn't necessarily mean realism.
@@ATribeCalledCars The very important problem with WRC 8 is the traction on high speed corners...you can't flat out in this game.If they correct this thing the game would be perfect.Another thing is that the first category (WRC) cars had more torque (500 Nm) than the real cars and they accelerated like rockets. Also the game was full of bugs and problems which is very annoying. If they fixed those things in WRC 9 I will buy it for sure!
@@Alex_Z95 Well I've been flat out around some corners in WRC 9 and the pace seems accurate. I think going above 80mph is rare but the power delivery down low to mid revs is spectacular. 0-62 sub four seconds, more likely sub 3 but I don't think manufacturers publish these figures publically (Toyota avoids doing it on the official website, for example). I never noticed too many bugs on Xbox but I cannot speak for PC or PS4.

Yeah annually updated games are rarely revolutionary but the improvements it has are good. F1 games are similar. But I agree, it's a bit expensive unless you're a diehard fan.
@@ATribeCalledCars This is certainly true. I guess I was just hoping for the same level of improvement that 8 was over 7. 8 was pretty darn good so I'm sure they just want to expand its platform.
@@BrettWidner Oh yeah I wish it was as big a jump too. They have the licence until 2022 so probably one more revolutionary game in the series before Codemasters takes over. Adding next-gen support in this game probably took some extra work plus corona slowing stuff down.
day 4 of asking to be in the next best comments video
I'm working on that soon, stay tuned.
I dont like sims. I do however enjoy simcade. So... Dirt 5?
I think it's still a little more accessible than Dirt Rally 2.0, which is just annoying sometimes. But Dirt 5 could be a better fit yeah, although WRC 8 is free on Game Pass if you wanted to check it out. It's a fun game!
Honestly, even if WRC is sim, it is actually a fun sim than Dirt. At least for my opinion. WRC still friendly toward rookie/beginner. Even through Career race, you can still relax and enjoy the scenery while driving.
Gta got better driving mechanics :D
Haha I wish.
So far every one of these wrc games have been crap with a wheel fix this issue please
WRC 8 was great with a wheel, the FFB was largely decent. WRC 9 is similar in feel and better in handling.
Sorry but i tryed lots of settings never very good i even tryed ones from the web but just crap compared to gt sports . Dirt even the new need for speed is better with the wheel and thats saying something some may like it and thats great . There are too many games that are so much better with a wheel to play than to mess around with these games you may get it ok at some point but development teams should program wheel support better it is a racing game . Just my thoughts.. glad you got on with it but i deleated with in a week
@@covkiller8653 What wheel do you have? WRC 8 was far superior to DiRT Rally 2.0. Even Codemasters admitted they dropped the ball when it cames to force feedback (I made a video about it) for that game. You just have to tweak the settings until you're happy although the out of the box default is actually good on my three steering wheels I use to test.
Thrustmaster rs t300 is the wheel im currently using looking to up grade soon i
Played dirt 2.0 and found it not to bad without messing with setting only had to tweak the setting
a littel
The grip at tarmac has never felt realistic at all from these developers. Feels and looks more like Sweden...
It's a better interpretation than Dirt Rally though, which is worse. I find it decent in WRC 9.
How to buy fucking new car in WRC9 ? I am fucking tired of my old ford
In career mode? Usually you have to sign to another team.
@@ATribeCalledCars yeah yeah, carrer mode but, I can't sign another team
WRC 8 was awful. So crap. Graphics were terrible. I hope they vastly improve WRC 9.
And it needs to be on steam.
I really enjoyed WRC 8 and I know a few other UA-camrs did too. More than DiRT Rally 2.0 anyway. But it could always look better yeah and the lack of Steam is going to upset a lot of people.
lack of Steam means no buy, just like WRC 8.
It's a great rally game, guess you'd know if you had played it. Which you haven't lol.
dude is just reading bullet points this is advert
It isn't and I'm not.
You say WRC 8 was great and you want me to watch your video? Dislike
I mean it's actually a fun rally game, what didn't you like about it? I'm definitely not alone in the appreciation.
