Make this super cute crochet blanket with me :) This is a beginner crochet project and super quick to make. This blanket is made with the block stitch and as you know you need to cut the yarn after each round or row but in this tutorial I teach you a cool technique to avoid having thousands of ends to weave in! Have you ever used this technique?
I wanted to share this project for the longest time since I released the pattern. I really felt the tutorial was much needed so if you buy the pattern you can follow along.
I'm also running a giveaway! You can win a baby blanket made by me measuring 70× 70 cm perfect for a newborn💖 and also 2 kits to make your own blanket and the written pattern will be included. I will post more details over on Instagram but you can participate by leaving me a comment about how you learn to crochet. 😀
The giveaway will run for a week and in UA-cam only so make sure you are subscribed to my channel. I will announce the winners next week over Instagram so stay tuned! I will post here too.

I was 6 when i first got curious what my mother did with the yarn and hook. Every time she stopped crocheting to do other things, i would secretly try doing what she did. Until one day, she taught me how to crochet. I mastered the single, double and half double crochet before i turned 7. Btw, the blanket is adorably pretty.
Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve watched hundreds and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one so well done. Thank you. ❤
Wow, thank you! 🤩 I’m so glad you like it 💕☺️
I learn to crochet 🧶 after I had surgery because of tumor femur bone. I had bedridden for almost 4 months. I learn it through UA-cam !!! 😅😅
Hello Leonela, your baby is so beautiful God bless. I learned to crochet when I was a child and then again during the pandemic. It has been my hobby and therapy ever since. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
I love this, absolutely beautiful. I have learned a lot on your vedio. Watching from Botswana 🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼
Your children are adorable!!
Cute. My aunt taught me how to crochet a basic stitch when I was young and now I watch tutorials to build upon that to make projects I like.
I don't remember learning, but I taught myself to crochet and after watching my aunt in Mexico crocheting, I started crocheting lace!
Love your tutorials. I taught myself when I was about 14 because I wanted a vest I’d seen in a shop with a colourful granny square in the front. 50+ years later I am still enjoying crochet & looking forward to teaching my granddaughter when she is older. Love your work!
My grandma crochet an knitt a lot, she was trying to teach me but it didn't sink in. Last year in February I've came across one lady who teaches how to crochet and knitt and I've completely fell in love with it ❤
I leaned by watching UA-cam videos. Wish I’d had yours- they are so helpful.
Aww thank you so much 💓 I'm so happy to know my videos help you🙂
Thank you so much for this easy tutorial I've been trying to klearn this pattern in a square for so long now I xan easily master it much love from Australia 🇦🇺
My grandmother taught me to crochet as I used to stay with her during the school holidays 45 years ago 💜
My beautiful Greek grandmother (yiayia) taught me to crochet when I first visited her in 1980, I was 11. I got hooked again about 10 years ago. UA-cam & crochet blogs have helped me lots too! I just made your Join the Dots Chunky Blanket for a work friend who is expecting & it looks absolutely gorgeous 💖
I love this sweet blanket and think it’s the perfect baby gift, the colour possibilities are endless!
When I was a teenager I really wanted to learn to crochet so I went to our local library and found a book to teach me how to do the basic stitches. During Covid I watched a lot of tutorials and learned some new and gorgeous techniques and I am addicted now!😂🥰
Hi Leonela, love seeing your beautiful babies. I have been crocheting for about 53 years❤❤. I learned in junior high school.
I taught myself to crochet when I was 18, at first all I knew how to make granny squares but continued and learned more and more different stitches.
I've been making scarfs with the block stitch. Such a neat and tidy amd perfect finish pattern. Always looks lovely
A friend taught me to crochet granny squares over 50 years ago, I have never "advanced" beyond blankets, because they are the ultimate blanket 😊 I crochet like I knit 😅
I happen to think you are AMAZING!!! I am going to make this blanket for my newest grand baby coming in November. I have 2 girls and in November will be my 1st grand son. I am SO EXCITED!!! And I LOVE this blanket and I also LOVE your beautiful top that you made. So AWESOME!!!
Beautiful blanket stitch. Nicely taught. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!💖🤩
I just watched a bunch of different UA-cam videos and taught myself how to crochet! I still can’t read patterns but as long as there is a UA-cam tutorial, I’ve managed to complete projects, including 4 blankets, coffee cozies, freezie holders, and dishcloths.
My best friend inspired me to crochet with the lovely items she made and always with so much love ❤
Family friend taught me when I was 14. She gave me my 1st hook & some yarn. Didn't know how to do a lot but we had plenty of pot holders 😂
I went through many years after graduation without crocheting at all and I don't remember what got me started again but I'm so glad I did!! I love learning new techniques on youtube, so thank you! for your videos! And CONGRATULATIONS on another beautiful baby! 🎉
My aunt taught me to crochet when I used to visit her on her farm 🚜 ❤

My grandmother taught me how to crochet chains but I learned how to crochet hearts first through a UA-cam video in my late 30`s. I then moved into nesting baskets and granny squares. I have crocheted two blankets.
Love this so much!! I taught myself to crochet in 2021 when I wanted to make my baby girl a blanket. It’s been so addicting and I’ve been crocheting like crazy ever since

Beautiful baby blanket. I taught myself to crochet about 8 years ago and UA-cam has been a huge help
Such a cute blanket! I learned to crochet from a sweet lady that taught at hobby lobby before covid. I loved it from the very first cup cozy I made & was hooked! I've been crocheting about 5 years now.
I really love this pattern and baby is really adorable... I was planning to make a baby blanket for my best friend's baby.. She'll soon deliver her baby and I'm really excited. This pattern tutorial is perfect. ❤
I learned to crochet in lockdown (2020) from youtube. I also loves free patterns of flowers you have posted on Instagram..❤️🌼 I'm participating in this giveaway. Hope I'll win this time 🤞
I'm 66 yrs old. My mother taught me how to crochet AND knit. I don't knit. I really don't like to. But I LOVE to crochet and I adore new patterns. If you haven't done your "give away" yet, I sure would be grateful to be added to your list of whom might get your blanket and kits and patterns. I believe my new grand son would love your blanket too.
I fell in love with this design the first time I saw it. Thank you for sharing the pattern. Easy to follow and so many ideas to create.
You absolutely make your patterns amazingly easy to follow. Thank you so very much!! I am going to make this one for the grandson we have coming in November!!
What a gorgeous blanket pattern - my Mom taught me the basic Granny Square crochet when I was 10 years old, for many many years that's the only crochet I ever did. Fast forward to this year and I've recently taught myself to do very need linen stitch squares.
I taught myself to crochet from a book and since then have expanded my stitch knowledge with books and videos. I have made several blankets in what I call wall stitch, which is your two stitches but in straight lines. Never thought of it in a square so really want to try this!
That's amazing! It must've been hard to learn from a book, so you should proud of yourself 🙌 yes! I'm so happy you wanna make this! I hope you enjoy it and can learn new techniques 💖
I think you're AMAZING!! I LOVE that top also!!!
Aww you're so kind 💖 💓 thank you so much for your kind words 😊 I'm so glad you like the top! I hope you can make it too 💗
Love this blanket pattern, esp since no weaving of tails! I relearned crochet recently since having my 2 baby boys💙💙
Such an adorable blanket❤ can’t wait to try it. My mommy taught me with the granny square when I was around 10 and now that she has passed 😢I do it even more. Makes me feel closer to her!
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy making it 💖 I'm so sorry for your loss 😔 but I'm glad you have crochet to make you feel closer to your mum🙂 never stop!💖
This is beautiful. I really want to give it a try. I haven't been able to crochet for a while due to arthritis but am going to give it a go.
Thank you for posting. 😊
My mum taught me how to crochet way back when I about 8 or 9 (I’m 40 now 😅). I’m left handed but my mum is right handed so that’s what she taught me. 😂
I learned crochet at the middle school. We had a lesson about making handmade products ❤
I love this blanket pattern so much. ❤I actually just started crocheting in the beginning of this year. I just wanted to try something I was so terrible at in school and now I mastered it 😅

Meu Dios, que lindo amei
Either my mother or grandmother taught me to crochet many many years ago. I started crocheting again a few months ago. I feel inspired to make a cool granny square blanket. I'm just waiting for the right pattern. Meanwhile I'll making smaller projects and honing my skills. I love this blanket pattern. I noticed on the pattern 5 chains are called for on the boarder and a single crochet between the blocks. That is different than the tutorial. Is one way better than another? Thanks
طريقتك في الشرح رائعه وهادئه ومتزنه
Gorgeous blanket!! I love to crochet. Sweet baby too! Please enter me for the giveaway which I spotted on your insta 😊
My mom taught me to crochet when I was about 10 years old.
Hi Leonela and Mikey and adorable baby, I missed your baby's name, sorry. I'm hard of hearing and don't have my headset on. Anyway, I'm new here, I just found your channel and I'm looking forward to getting to know you! Thank you for the tutorials!
This is a beautiful blanket! Is it possible to make this in a rectangle instead of a square?
Lovely ❤

Please tell me about your yarn. The yarn that I have that sort of looks like yours is a cotton yarn I use for awesome dish towels and dish rags. It's AMAZING cotton yarn. Is this what you are using???
My childhood friends mother taught me when I was like in 6th grade
I love this pattern. Can it be made in a solid color or with verigated yarn?

Are you using cotton yarn?
For the tutorial yes, but for the blue blanket I’ve used acrylic yarn and I mix of cotton and acrylic for the blanket in different colours 💕
Beautiful. Do you have the tutorial in Spanish please?
Thank you so much 💓 I don't 😔 but if you click the icon for settings on the video you can choose the captions in Spanish 💗 I hope this helps 💗

I learned how to crochet from my neighbour and UA-cam around Halloween last year and have been hooked ever since! This pattern is absolutely gorgeous by the way! I love that it's a bit denser than the traditional granny square blanket
