I crocheted an afghan just like this 55 yrs ago except the multi colored yarn was brown, rust, tan, green and gold. It was a gift to my mom.
I remember those! We called them afghans. So happy the colors have improved. 😂
Since I saw this project I couldn't get it off my mind. I was so in love with the color combination you used and the design, that after spending days searching, I asked my cousin in US for help to find the Caron yarn and ship it to the Netherlands for me. I made myself a present, for my birthday.
Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤
Just completed the queen size version of this blanket. I used the exact colours listed here and after a moth and a half it's finally finished! This is the first crochet project I've ever done and you made it feel so easy and natural! Absolutely beautiful piece! Thank you!
Goede middag .ik heb vraag kun jij mij de kleuren zeggen die je gebruikt .ik wil graag deze deken namaken.
Kun je mij daar bij helpen .en zijn deze kleuren ook Nederland te koop .?
Is een prachtige deken
Do you remember how many chains you started with. I’m making this for my sons Queen size bed
@@DonnaSullivan-op4swhi there. I just finished this blanket for a queen size bed and made it 66x75. That was 220 stitches I believe, and you could even go a little more if you want it draped over the sides more. Mine just drapes over slightly on the sides but is plenty long!
I used 3+2 multiple. I chained on 170 stitches, 168 (divisible by 3) plus 2. Row 1: SC on second stitch (same as video) and so forth.
Thank you! That is so helpful.
After frogging my work twice, I realized that the video is not correct. Thank you for adding this…back to my third attempt!
Thank u! I was wondering the count. I can’t read a pattern (at all) otherwise I’d probably just buy the pattern.
I'm sorry, I am new to crocheting. Can you please explain what you did in more detail. I Houghton the stuff to make this but I see yall are saying her instructions are wrong. I'm scared to start something and it be wrong. Please help
Could some explain what 3+2 means, I don’t want to start wrong but I don’t understand what I need to do
I love the way you change colors using the magic knot.
This is very pretty. I like that you kept the border simple. Busy borders often take away from the beauty of the main body of work, I think.
I agree ☺️
The perfect project that gives me permission to buy more of this fabulous yarn, yayyyyy!!! Beautiful blanket!
Have fun!😍😍
WOW! I can tell you’re passionate about crochet. That makes you a great teacher. No detail left out. Start to finish. Just the pattern I need-and I got the pdf to help support 💕
Thank you so much!
I love all things granny stitch. Your yarn and color choices are wonderful. It looks so cozy and beautiful.
Your blanket is beautiful 😻
I love this pattern and especially done in this yarn!!! I have seen the yarn, but nothing made with it yet. I knew it would be gorgeous worked up, but oh my..... I love the lightness and stitch definition you get with the chain spun construction. And those colors.... my oh my... so dreamy! Thank you for the tutorial! You are so talented and have such a good eye for choosing yarns for your projects!
I finally started your beautiful blanket tonight. Can’t wait until I get more done to see. I am up to the fourth colour now. It’s starting to look really lovely. I am doing the same colours as you have there. They work really well together. Thank you for sharing. Love your work
Bravo for the color change, I love it. Thank you
You are absolutely right. This blanket is stunning. Thank you so much for showing me this beauty. I will be making this one for me as well. ❤
Gorgeous yarn colors.....wow!
First time I've seen that method for changing colors -- priceless!!
Glad it was helpful!♥️
Michaels had cakes on sale for 30% off - order came today and I will be starting this tomorrow. Thank you for being so inspiring and generously sharing!
Lovè this. Your tension is as it should be. I do it tighter and I think it shows. Will try this with the specified yarn. Thanks very much for a beautiful afghan!
This blanket is gorgeous! 😍
I never thought of using multicolored yarn in this way. Your blanket is lovely ❣️
Thank you! 😊
That's exactly what I was going to say! 🙂. I've been crocheting for over 50 years and have *never* thought to combine multiple variegated yarns, but I sure will now! This is beautiful!
Can you please let me know what will need the starting chains for a king size bed?
@@anettejohn5795 if you find out, would you please tag me in it as well?
@CJ Design how. Many chains to do king please?
What a lovely design for a blanket. Thank you😊❤
Very lovely pattern and yarn selection! Your tutorial is very easy to follow.

I’m a newbie glad I found you. Luv the blanket
I love the way you change colors at the end. First time I've seen it. Hate weaving ends in and have not used pattern that change colors after so many rows. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous, I love how you explain things nice and clear - I'm subscribing! 🤩🤗💖🧶🌹
Well I had to go to two stores before I got my yarn. I have everything that I need to do this. But going on vacation for the summer now. Will do it in the fall. But I wanted to make sure that I had everything I need. Thank you so much for everything. Going to Newfoundland for four months. But I will be watching your channel from there. ❤️🌹

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been looking for a pattern for the Blossom Cakes yarn. The blanket is so pretty. 😁
We’re you able to find passion fruit? I don’t think I’ve seen it and can’t find it on v or eBay or Michael’s or Amazon. No pics or anything. I’m stumped. I wish they weren’t getting rid of them. I love the yarn.
@@AmieDeLalla hi. I'm not sure if passion fruit is still available. It prob wasnt, so thats why I bought caribbean sea for this project. 😂 i havent checked Michaels recently, so maybe its there now. Or could be discontinued. Sorry! ☹️
You did a wonderful job creating this beautiful blanket. After watching the video; I purchased all the yarns listed; watched this video again to make sure I understood the instructions. I’m ready to go. I also printed the instructions for reference. The pictures of this blanket looks so cozy. I can’t wait to be able to snuggle up watching tv. I have to tell you the yarns are beautiful I never would have combined these colors on my own. Thank you so much for sharing❤ gayle🧶🧶

Thank you for this wonderful pattern, it's perfect for the blanket I was looking to make as a wedding gift for family - I chose Macaw yarn color and cabana (which are their wedding colors) Yellow / orange/ green and brown... I think they will love this.
Beautiful!
Never mind, I was reading the qatunty in front of the color. I didn't see Passion Fruit.
Beautiful blanket.

Making this now (in a larger size) and it’s beautiful! I really love it. A classic granny stitch blanket in a very pretty colouway (changed the pinkish one for a green/blue yarn instead but still used the other colours) Thanks!
Beautifull work and commentary

This is so so beautiful 😍
Beautiful colours and pattern
Thank you!
This blanket is beautiful. Thank you. Just subscribed.
Just ordered the same colors because you chose my favorites to cuddle with.
This blanket is for me.
Note : as of today 9/22/23. Michael's was the only place I could find this yarn mail order.
Couldn't find the Caron Blossom Cakes in the UK, so I bought similar and cheaper. Also bought Biscuit colour instead of white. It's looking good. Thank you❤❤
lovely, and great instruction.
Thank you!
Love it
This is a beautiful blanket.
I wonder what time Michael's opens. ❤
This is beautiful!!!
🫶🏼🫶🏼
Thank you for the video, it's well done and easy to understand! ♥
Glad it was helpful!🩷
Ur blanket is beautiful ❤️
Thank you love this
😍 Pretty! I’ve seen the Blossom Cakes in Michaels, but haven’t bought any yet.
Love it.
Thank you so much for the video. After watching it, I realised that I make my granny stripe blanket the same way.🙂 One row start with two dc then next row only one dc. Beautiful soft colours. 😍
You’re welcome 😊🩷 I’m glad you liked it!
I just made this blanket in a baby stroller size using blossom, pink grapefruit, and yatch club for my cousin's baby girl. I made a ruffled border. It's stunning.
I love this pattern and this yarn. Thanks for the tutorial and pattern.❤
You’re very welcome! 💕
@@CJDesignblog I forgot to mention I bought the pattern. It was very helpful to have the number of chains and rows for the various sizes. I struggle with putting borders on the sides where there are no real stitches. The diagram showing where to put the stitches was extremely helpful and took the stress out of doing it. 🙂❤
Well done and explained.
PRETTY BABY BLANKET
Nice blanket thanks!
Beautiful.
Thank you!!
Fantastic looking
Thanks💕
Brilliant, lovely 🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful 💕
Super new to crochet!! This is really pretty, I've watched a few times, and I'm gonna give it a try
Did you start
it yet?
@heidiferguson2123 I tried with switching colors,, I need practice 🤭 I did a few row of a solid color and realized I needed to stich mark because all my edges where WAAYYY crooked 😅 🙃 Again, super new to this and I didn't realize how time consuming it is to crochet
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
I am making this one now !!
I made this blanket it was soft and lovely
HELLO I AM NEW TO YOUR CHANNEL LOVE THE BLANKET ❤PEACE AND PEACE WITH BLESSINGS 🙏
This really is stunning just as you said. Not that I need another blanket but this is irresistable! And like another commenter, a great reason to buy more of this yarn! Oddly enough I was not crazy about this yarn at first but it is so easy to work with as a beginner because it does not split, and the colors! Wow! Thanks for sharing.
Oh No! I can't find Passion Fruit anywhere and that's my favorite color! (BTW the PDF pattern is great for making this in other sizes!)
Very nice...thx
very beautiful ! Unfortunately can't find the yarn, but I will make it eventually 😊 great teacher very soothing voice. thank you🦋
You’re welcome 😊
I am making this blanket with roll with it melange in colorway show time and a light gray for every 4th row. It's gorgeous, wish I could attach a picture. It's a good alternative if you can't find the blossom cakes.
Blossom cakes are rather pricey, even on sale. I just can’t pull the trigger. I’ll look through my stash for similar yarns like you did.
So cute.. follow you from libya ❤
Wonderful video!! I cnt wait to make this blanket! How long from start to finish did this blanket take to make?
