You suggested to crochet two of these and crochet them together... with this filling of a thousand yarn ends it would be the perfect little cushion for a cat or a dog❤ Or in a bigger size the perfect seat cushion for us ❤ Thank you for sharing this tutorial 🙏💕
These would make a lovely quilt. And the ends could be the filling for the quilt. Back it with either a lovely piece of wool or cotton. What a pretty pattern.Thank you!💙
The best idea on here is to make it into a quilt and put a backing on it, comment by @janetruh7476 (thanks for that idea)…It will be super warm. What an absolute beautiful pattern…I’m trying it, only if I do one square. I’ve never minded sewing in the ends, for some unknown reason…but this looks like a MASSIVE aggravation…thanks for sharing and thanks for being honest….it isn’t for the faint of heart 😳
I would knot the snipped ends together with the new color, then put a solid color sheet backing on it and use all the loose ends as filling to make a crochet blanket quilt. It would look fantastic.
I thought the same thing, but possibly do another piece same size underneath in a darker color such as black and weave in all the ends there. crochet the ends together at edges like an envelope border in mosaic crochet, it would be a lot of work but very lovely blanket.
I love this and will turn mine it into a iPhone bag using two squares , knot the ends very tightly , cut them short, perhaps use a bit of fabric glue and line the bag 😅 Anja thanks for sharing 🙌🤗💕🙏🏻
I loved the back💚🥰 to me it was beautiful as well However as far as ideas of what you can do you can put fabric on the back side .. sew it on with clear thread always ever color thread you choose and you can make blankets you can make bags by using fabric to make a lining... By placing a lining type fabric you can make jackets/cardigans... Just about anything you desire I think this is a fabulous and playful technique... I'm a newbie a beginner to crocheting.. and this project is challenging yet fun.the color combinations are endless Thanks so much for sharing 💚✨🦋💚✨🦋💚✨🦋💚✨🦋🥰
@OpheliaTalks thank YOU Anja! I have learned so much from your channel. And your content and lookbooks are always so esthetically beautiful. You have made such an impact on my crochet journey. Have a wonderful day.
You're a better woman than I. I would go crazy with all those color changes. I have a hard enough time when changing every row! I'd love to do that but I might need a few drinks first.
I made this crocheting over the ends -- it worked well, but 5 rounds and a 6th round (a boarder in white,) it was stressful and took an hour, but I am very pleased to have made it!
I think I, personally, would stretch my yarn to the next set kf rhat color where I could. That would reduce some of the ends. I'm going to have to fiddle with this. This is beautiful Anja!!!! ♥️
Dear Anya...i enjoy doing this..reason being it makes my mind working..as to where and what colour is next..at my age 75..this is mind blowing project..makes me to be attentive too.. Thankyou Anja
I will make a pillow or a quilt or pay someone to get rid of the ends! 😆 This is lovely as I like colourful things. It will take time to hide the ends, and that is therapeutic in itself. I really like this...thanks for sharing.
I will try to do a magic knot everytime I change color. It take a bit of practice, but after, you know exactly where to do the knot. The pattern is really beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I will give it a try to make some cushions.
I came to say the same thing! 😅 What if you turned at the end of the round and picked up the yarn when you came back to that color. Still will be a lot of ends but not as many. Would just have to be mindful of what side yarn is added and picked up.
I so want to make a blanket of this, of which I will do, once my other projects have been completely finished, I personally would do a few rows, sew in the ends etc love this project
Hello Anja, What a beautiful project you shared with us. I understand that it's too much work to sew al the ends in. I would use this beautiful big granny square to cover up a canvas tote bag. I would make the front panel like this and the back panel with just 1 colour. So that the back panel doesn't have much work to it. I hope this is helpfull and you still can use this granny square for something Greetings Lissy
You sure stirred up a nest of buzzing with this video! This is fun to see all of the ideas coming forth! Kind of like reginastripp7492 said but I would first find out what length of yarn each cluster takes. Next I would cut my yarn to that length (not all at once just in case of error). When I want to change colors drop the old and pick up the new. When I next visit the old color and its cluster, thread it on a needle and weave it over to the new starting point invisibly as possibly. Do this till the whole four sides of that color block have been made. Then you have an unavoidable end. Everything you make is so pretty!
what a beautiful terrifying project..hehe...thank you for explaining the process... I think the cut n tie method will work if someone wants to attempt this project as the ends can be dealt with then and there while changing colors... or a backing fabric sewn on the back will hide the yarn strands...and can be made into tote bags or pillow covers or even a wall hanging
There is a way to avoid all the ends to weave in. Join the new yarn with a magic knot. Surprisingly, it is not that difficult to work out exactly where to put the knot. This is exactly what I was thinking! ❤
Great idea, I may make one now, but I tell ya after I seen the back I was like um no. Lol
Lindp pero no me gusta los flecos de atras,

Wow!!! I do not think I have every seen so many ends! Pretty GS.
Hahaha yes it’s enough to give you nightmares, thank you for watching, Anja x
Anja, I absolutely love this granny square. I think it would make an amazing lined jacket.
Would take a bit of work but would be so rewarding.
Yes a lot of work, thank you for watching, Anja x
Yes, a sort of padded jacket, or just tie off the ends. It would definitely look amazing. 👍
I would knot the snipped ends together with the new color, then put a solid color sheet backing on it and use all the loose ends as filling to make a crochet blanket quilt. It would look fantastic.
Good suggestion, thanks for watching, Anja x

Oh dear lord, what a fantastic idea!!! 😊
Turning it into a pillow you will not see the back side of the square, so beautiful and colorful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching, great idea, Anja x
I was thinking the same thing!! Make it a pillow, add some stuffing and stitch it together no one will know!! It’s beautiful though!
That was my first thought! Great pillow
I love this and will turn mine it into a iPhone bag using two squares , knot the ends very tightly , cut them short, perhaps use a bit of fabric glue and line the bag 😅
Anja thanks for sharing 🙌🤗💕🙏🏻

I love watching you do this. I am only watching for now. lol. It is very pretty and will be fun to try.
Have a go, you know you want to! Thank you for watching, Anja x
Here’s an idea: Using the reverse as the outside would make a fabulous “hairy” jacket, and the inside would be SO impressive 💃
Oh it would make for an interesting jacket, thanks for watching, Anja x
It would be so beautiful at a chair back cover. I am have to do this. It just loves so fun. I need all those colors too.
Don’t forget to show us the end result! Anja x
For a purse or pillow you could use some fabric glue to help secure ends. I love it.
But you would still need to weave them in 😵💫Anja x
That is so incredibly beautiful! But as someone who has only been doing crochet for 7 months, I think my head just exploded 😂. Maybe someday ❤
Ha ha ha with practice I bet you could do this, thank you for watching, Anja x
@OpheliaTalks thank YOU Anja! I have learned so much from your channel. And your content and lookbooks are always so esthetically beautiful. You have made such an impact on my crochet journey. Have a wonderful day.

They would make lovely seat pads.
Yes as long as the loose threads didn’t come through, thanks for watching, Anja x
I think I, personally, would stretch my yarn to the next set kf rhat color where I could. That would reduce some of the ends. I'm going to have to fiddle with this.

I will make a pillow or a quilt or pay someone to get rid of the ends! 😆 This is lovely as I like colourful things. It will take time to hide the ends, and that is therapeutic in itself. I really like this...thanks for sharing.
Anita, I’m so glad you liked this, and paying for someone to weave the ends in might be the way to go! Haha thank you for watching, Anja x
I will try to do a magic knot everytime I change color. It take a bit of practice, but after, you know exactly where to do the knot. The pattern is really beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I will give it a try to make some cushions.

I'm going to try it changing direction starting on row 3 and see if that makes fewer ends.
I came to say the same thing! 😅 What if you turned at the end of the round and picked up the yarn when you came back to that color. Still will be a lot of ends but not as many. Would just have to be mindful of what side yarn is added and picked up.
Let me know how you get on, Anja x
It looks amazing, but so many ends to sew in 😮!
Yes way too many, thank you for watching, Anja x
Precioso trabajo gracias

You have more courage than me! Kandy thanks for watching, Anja x
Hello Anja,
What a beautiful project you shared with us.
I understand that it's too much work to sew al the ends in. I would use this beautiful big granny square to cover up a canvas tote bag. I would make the front panel like this and the back panel with just 1 colour. So that the back panel doesn't have much work to it.
I hope this is helpfull and you still can use this granny square for something

This is hysterically funny what a way to wake up this morning I could just see people freaking out over the tails to weave in
Yes my moderators were like no way when I showed them, glad it made you laugh, Anja x

It looks lovely if every time you finished every cluster you should collect the threads before you and the other color
It is beautiful Anja ..but oh my those ends…😱

There is a way to avoid all the ends to weave in. Join the new yarn with a magic knot. Surprisingly, it is not that difficult to work out exactly where to put the knot. I will admit that tying all the knots is time consuming and tedious, but if you remind yourself that each knot has saved you having the ends to weave in, it keeps you motivated. I recently made a complex C2C blanket in this way, and had only the first and last ends to weave in. I also make all my regular colour change granny squares this way too. Hope this helps.
Yes but I don’t like using the magic knot, I’m always worried it comes undone. Thanks for the suggestion, Anja x
I have crocheted this pattern and I love it! ❤👵🏻❤ But I didn’t use DK/3wght yarn -- I used a thicker 4wght yarn a hook 1 size smaller to keep the stitch a bit fuller/thicker than yours. This helped with concealing the carried yarns. Also I don’t chain 1 between the 3DC clusters; I snug the stitch a bit to keep it from stretching out too much.
My first piece of 8 rounds (plus a white border) is used under my lamp as a table protector. The second one is my model for making a lapcover- joining 4 or 6 of these much larger ones, then adding a border & edging. 👵🏻
Fabulous, I bet they look great, thanks for watching, Anja x
Now i love that beautiful big square. The colors are great! The patience! Good job! Subscribing.
Thanks for the sub! I hope you will enjoy my channel and all the projects, Anja x
Hermoso!!!
Thank you, Anja x
Would it help if you had four (or more, I guess, on the later rounds) skeins / bobbins of each color, one for each side of the square? Then you could pull the color up as you came around again. Still a lot of ends, but not a catastrophic amount.
I was thinking the very same thing!😊
