From my perspective the 12.9" iPad Air is a BIG deal! Been asking for that for years! Don't need horsepower or (especially) cost of the Pro. Just want to display an 8-1/2" x 11" page of sheet music LIFE SIZE!
I don't need 120Hz on iPad Air, what I need is Adaptive Refresh Rate because Air has the worst battery life out of ANY iPads
The least I need for my Air is 90Hz. No 120Hz
Calling it: they’ll probably software lock the iPad Air to 60hz
Good call
Nah they manufacture them without 60hz. Why would they software lock it if it can go 120? It’ll cost more for them. It’s straight up just cheaper to manufacture LTPS screens compared to LTPO
They have already locked it currently LCD panels are vey high quality and can easily run on 120Hz
@@LostAxosDude LTPS and LTPO doesn’t exist on MiniLED and LCS
I think it is the display controller that matters for 120Hz. They can use old display controllers with the new display. Recycle ≠ Reused directly
I want a mini pro with OLED and 120hz 😢
Thank goodness u r not running Apple !
Never gonna happen.
Get a 15 Pro Max
The MacBook Air needs the XDR
We Need iPad Mini Pro with Quad Speaker and 120hz that's all... size is perfect and good enough for tablet
Never gonna happen.
You’re so right
dang I was just commented about ipad mini needs to be ipad mini pro
I absolutely love your camera, framing, background, and the lighting in this one
I can see the 12.9 inch iPad Air will be same price as the current iPad Pro 11 inch. Hopefully the 12.9 inch air starts out with 125gb instead of 64.
If Apple really put OLED screens on the entire iPad lineup, I think they should put different types of OLED panels for each version of the iPad lineup: Rigid OLED with Super Retina for the “budget” iPad, flexible OLED with Super Retina XDR for the iPad Air and Mini, and hybrid OLED with Super Retina XDR, Extreme Dynamic Range, and Always-On Display for the iPad Pro. What do you guys think?
It's been funny watching a rumor come out every other week saying "it's coming really soon guys!", for about the last 14-15 months
It's hard to get excited for the new iPads, for several reasons. The rumor mill doing the same thing for over a year straight is part of it, but also, having had an M1 iPad Air for over a year now, I just can't see myself needing more power than that chip provides within the next...decade or so? I'm never pushing its limits, it's just kinda turned into a laptop that moonlights as an extra display for my PC.
Having mostly transitioned away from Apple (iPad's the only device I didn't sell), there are a few things my Z Fold does that I feel like iPads could dramatically benefit from, which would actually make for an exciting upgrade.
One, my stylus is tucked out of the way in a place that doesn't make it hard to hold without taking the stylus off, and secure enough that it's not falling off whenever I brush it the wrong way with my hand. I would love to see the higher-end iPads come with a new Apple Pencil design which fits into the device itself.
Two, multitasking apps actually feels intuitive and customizable. Being able to split horizontally or vertically, freely resize the split or the pop-out windows, and have up to 8 apps running at once is a very nice software feature even if I almost never use more than 2, and multitasking feels very limited on my iPad once I got used to Samsung's way. Stage Manager is closer in some ways, but it's really fiddly and doesn't feel good to use.
Three, Samsung's system of A-series (budget) tablets and S-series (pro) tablets, with multiple sizes that have feature parity, just makes sense. There really ought to be the iPad, the iPad Pro, and that's it for distinct models. Just throw the sizes as a customization option. IPad starts at like $300/$400/$500 depending on the size, iPad Pro starts at $800/$900/$1000.
Sadly the iPad Pro Models are limited by software, so they do not canibalize the MacBook Air, and it sucks to have the hardware, just to be limited with the same OS that a 400 usd iPad has.
@iminacatsuit Yeah, of course iPads could be much better than they are if they weren't worried about cannibalizing sales - if they allowed iPads to sideload like macbooks, or run Macbook apps on a compatibility layer of some kind, or even dual boot into MacOS, they would be incredible.
But I know Apple would never do that. The three things I mentioned are, I think, completely feasible from the "Apple philosophy" perspective - an internal Apple Pencil would look sleeker and be more functional, same can be said for better multitasking, and a rebranding of the lineup into two models with 3 sizes is the simplicity Apple tries to be known for.
Part of the reason I switched away from the Apple ecosystem is because their software is too locked down and I couldn't do the things I wanted to do - that's not something that'll change, I don't think. But I see potential for iPads to be way better than they are, and if they capitalize on that in _any_ way then my current iPad may not be my last iPad. There's a lot to like about a big touchscreen that weighs a pound, goes anywhere easily, is as powerful as a laptop, and is as simple to operate as scan your fingerprint>you're in rather than find a surface>set your laptop down>open the lid>scan your fingerprint>you're in
I agree about the models, the "air" moniker has become completely divorced from it's original meaning, and now doesn't really signify anything. They should drop the "air" from the MacBooks as well.
@@STNKbone Half agree with you. There’s really no reason for the iPad Air to exist - it’s physically nearly identical to the iPad Pro.
The Macbook Air, on the other hand, genuinely is a good bit lighter than the pro models, the 15” Air being over 30% lighter than the 16” Pro. I don’t know that that’s a particularly _useful_ feature, being a pound and a half lighter, but it is what the Air moniker is for.
Sold my iPad 2 years ago but if they update the mini at the end of the year and it impresses me I’ll get one
I’m still rocking the 11” 2018 iPad Pro, and haven’t looked to upgrade because I don’t do “pro” stuff and use my iPad to browse the web and watch videos like most of the users. It’s been bent for nearly 4 years and still works like a charm.
Been looking to upgrade, but I’m used to 120hz displays and won’t give up my Pro for a downgrade. So, if the Air has 120hz displays, i might finally do it.
If you can count the months it’s may and June the next cycle should appear. But everyone talks about march for some reason unknown.
A lot of people will not get iPadPro if that’s the case
Maybe it’s time to finally update my iPad 🎉
No promotion. Price around 800/900. If the 11in pro gets a bump then something needs to start at that 800 range. Cant have 2 products at base price in the same price. Apple needs to play the upgrade incentive game. Why upgrade storage when you can buy a pro at that price
iPad Mini with pro motion and m3 is all we need.
I think May release date is to manage the threat of possibly decent Microsoft surface pros if those Qualcomm chips really are decent.
Would be hard to justify if surface pros now match MacBook performance in tablet format but same price as an iPad 12.9.
I just want a nice upgrade for the iPad mini!
At least 90hz plz!!!
I really think OLED would be a better idea for both sizes of the upcoming iPad Air (along with the upcoming iPad Pro), and I don’t think I’m comfortable with Mini-LED on the iPad Air lineup.
Tbh the only reason I went for the pro was promotion and faceid. If promotion came to the air, I could happily live with that
It is what it is. The iPad Pro has been around b4 the Pro iPhones so I guess it makes sense in that regard.
They did the same thing with the iPhones when they brought oled to the iphone 12. There was not much reason to get the 12 pro over the 12.
Not my problem, Ted.
I would get a 12.9” Air if my Pro 12.9” (2020) was to unexpectedly give up the ghost. Do not care about Thunderbolt or ProMotion. Rather put the money towards probably bumping up the storage & cellular.
So this new version of Ipad Air is like Iphone SE with recycled specs on it?
WWDC they will announce the iPads
7:12 since you asked, Apple has to many models in their lineup, Apple should just make it easy on the consumer with; iPad 9” 11” 13” & iPad Pro 9” 11” 13” (pro should also dual boot to macos when connected to magsafe keyboard), air branding means nothing anymore with thin light weight devices so should be dropped
The Air naming is kinda odd especially seeing the 13" Pro will be the thinnest, I mean are these new air models going to be lighter and thinner than the pro's? Isn't that why it's called Air? Just make it simple, regular and pro versions in 3 different sizes Mini, 11" and 13", pro versions have better chips, more memory, plus better screens, cameras, audio, pro motion and thunderbolt. regular versions have colors. that's it, the iPad and the iPad pro. If you have Air models not as thin as the pro, and you start to add the pro features to the air, what's that? I would buy the Mini Pro and the 13" pro. In fact gear the mini pro with gaming, offer 1 year free Apple Arcade. Honestly a Mini pro could become the best selling iPad, probably the biggest profit margin too.
So just this, and yea, a pro mini would sell.
8.3 iPad Mini
11" iPad
13" iPad
8.3 iPad Mini pro
11" iPad pro
13" iPad pro
Never been this early before
Maybe they figured out the calculator issue with AI
If this rumour is true am defo gonna get the iPad Air 13 inch, although am more leaning to a new iPad mini release.
We Need iPad Mini Pro with Quad Speaker and 120hz that's all... size is perfect and good enough for tablet
@@rudranewaz6664 never gonna happen
These rumors are probably for the next new iPad Pro and we aren’t actually getting a big redesign , that’s what always happens with these rumors
I honestly don't care about the air, I just want a mini with 90hz and an M1
I hope there’s some changes to iPad os
Man, that skit was hilarious af. 😅😅
Is Mini-LED technically better than OLED?
No OLED is night and day better than miniLED, drew for some reason thinks it’s almost as good as OLED but miniLED is basically a Liquid Retina LCD with some extra dimming layers, normal colors don’t look that much more vibrant outside of a little bit deeper blacks and bright HDR screen
@@alexh2665 Thanks, I thought that OLED would be the better tech, just got a little confused.
Smaller OLED models would be great 👍😎
Except for the poor colour…
The iPad Pro is dead. Long live the iPad Pro.
Lol they wont do that! Just like they wont do a m4 in the pro.
My cosmetology school give me iPad 9 generation to use
not an ounce of testosterone
I just want 12.9 air to be real "air"... it seems the iPad Pro will be much thiner and might be lighter than Air, so what's the point of name it air?
I do not like Apple adding PRO features to non-PRO for half the price of the PRO. I buy the Pro for myself and for family, then always feel shit next year because Apple makes our Pro Products feel budget-friendly compared to the nonPRO of the following year. I now have an M1 iPad PRO, with the floating magic keyboard. It sucks already that the keyboard is less capable compared to the nonPro keyboard as that has a Function-key feature but the Magic keyboard does not, then the air few months later came with M1. Now hearing this miniLED dilemma is again very annoying as my M1 iPad PRO is not miniLED, though I would have loved it to be back then. Also iPhone 14 Pro is now less capable than iPhone 15 that has the same internals but less cameras as 14 Pro has 3+TOF camera and the 15 only 2 cameras. Very upsetting, iPhone 14 Pro was the most expensive iPhone, even more expensive than X (in my Country at least) then now 15 is one of the cheapest, how would you feel if buying a product for 650000 and next year the exact same phone with different name, but same capabilities and a different body, though software-wise better than the one you own is now on sale for 340000. IDK why Apple does this and honestly as an Apple-fan this is the one thing i would tell you if you're on Android to consider, as Android tablets and phones don't seem to have this tendency. Steve would also question this I am sure. I now have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I guess iPhone 16 budget model would be able to handle everything (software limitation to promote upgrade) with the A17, but the A17 Pro iPhone 15 Pro line would be already obsolete for the "groundbreaking new feature that requires a newly released phone".
I think air 10.9 M2 still the same is 64gb and 60hz 😂😂😂
Where is my iPad Mini 7!!!! #apple #fail
Imagine paying 1k for a 60hz brick. Just buy the m1, EZ choice.
Its not a brick. Abd its only 800 dollars .
ahh we all love apple apple apple we love they save us from ultimate death with their apple watches and ipads and skibidi toilit
we love ipad and apple tight guys why even bother with android pcs and windows phones
I love your skits😂 They’ve made my day😂
iPad is DEAD anyway.
Nah
Until such time as they make a comfortable Vision, I will be sticking with/upgrading in usage order: iPad Pro, Apple Watch Ultra, and sometimes (I mainly use to support my watch) lower end iPhone.
OLED has poor colour so they need a model suitable for professional colour work
Ipad mini needs 90hz oled
I just want another iPad mini update with 512 storage.
Jajajajajajaj
iPad mini Pro, otherwise I don't care what they do to iPad.
Never gonna happen
Wow 1st
I just want my ipad mini to be called ipad mini pro
my ipad is the most useless device ever lmaooo
Cause you don’t know how to use it
Your channel is doing terrible 😂😂😂😂😂
Anything with “air” at the end is as disgusting as having “se” at the end.
For real. If it’s not Pro / Pro max i won’t buy it. All my Apple products are pro
using the 79$ pro cable to charge?
