You’re still rocking on a 7th gen ipad so you won’t know or feel anything about the benefits of using the 10th gen ipad or ipad air 5, so you don’t understand why peoples are considering what type of ipad is best for them.
Never own an iPad before just got an iPad 10th gen combine with a logitech case keyboard+trackpad, i’m also a truck driver and it feels good to have a "mini" laptop on the go
As someone who upgraded from an iPad Gen 6 to an iPad Air 5, I would never go back to an iPad without the laminated display. The screen being flush is a huge improvement when using the Apple Pencil. The Apple Pencil 2 is also a big upgrade from the Apple Pencil 1. Those two features alone make me happy with my decision and even if the 10 was out when I got my Air 5, I would still have gone with the Air 5.
Fellow simple man here. I also still use my 1st gen iPad mini (64 GB model). First of all, i paid A LOT OF MONEY for this device, 10 years ago. I will not just recycle it or toss it. It still supports UA-cam Music, Netflix, and the full web browser still works so I can watch UA-cam videos there. Also, it supports some of the music streaming apps for my home stereo system and serves that purpose well. Yes, it's slow, but still feels substantial in the hand, and the battery is still long lasting. And I don't need another type of charging plug. What are you able to still use it for? Thanks!
@@MrKreizikid I think it's on version 9.3.5 (non-cellular) which is the last update it got. Yes it is laggy, but some things still work. What are you using yours for?
I still have an iPad Air 2 and now I’m basically only using is to browse, some note taking and mostly to watch content… It’s all banged up and starting to lose support on newer apps and slowing down while browsing too so the iPad 10 gen sounds more than enough for me. Thank you 🙏🏽
Only idiot would go for 10 and you think is not justifiable because you are idiot buyer that don’t know people like you are idiot would buy 10 which worse so much in air5 in almost all the way lol
I’m happy with mine also I just bought one. I’ll probly pick the first gen pencil up too. To fit nicely in the otter box case I have. Thanks for defending the 10 !
One of the reasons the iPad 10 has a non-laminated display is for schools who use them. It makes it much less expensive to repair cracked screens. Same thing with the reason for the iPad pencil 1st gen. Again schools need a cheaper option.
The iPad 10 is nice but the Air is definitely more future proof. It’s also been on the market for a year now, which means you can find it second hand or refurbished for the same price as the more recently released iPad 10. So it’s pretty much a no brainer to me. It’s the kind of tablet you can expect to keep for years, just like the 2018 iPad Pro which is still very much usable today.
Guess that very much depends on where you live. The iPad Air 5 is here in EU still 100€ more expensive. Granted if you buy refurbished you may end up around the same price as the iPad 10
@@lizzielein777 I live in the EU. I got the iPad Air 5 256, Apple Pencil and keyboard for 900€. It definitely beats the iPad Air 10 with similar accessories. Although now that the 10 has been out for a while, I guess you can find it for a lower price point as well.
I think the iPad Air has a shorter life span when it comes to future software support though. I would say the iPad 10 is a better pick, if you don't focus on drawing and writing and just want the best bang for your buck, especially when you want to use it for video calling, as the camera placement is so much better on the iPad 10.
@@_modiX the iPad Air is M1, it will receive the same software updates as the iPad Pro M1. It’s definitely the flagship chip, only to be replaced by other M chips. For example, AAA video games are about to be released on the iPhone 15 Pro, but also on the M1 iPads, including the Air. You’ll get much more out of it than an iPad 10, and probably for much longer although it is one year older. And then again, it is not significantly more expensive when bought second hand. Add on top of that the laminated display and Apple Pencil 2 compatibility… it’s a no brainer.
@@clementrousseau3571 unless you want to video call. And just because it's an M1 doesn't mean the software support will be as long as for the iPad 10. I'm not talking about software support of apps, but actually the iPad OS updates.
I just switched from my old windows laptop to this 10th gen iPad. Unless you are drawing more than anything else don’t spend more on an air. This camera is amazing, drawing is just fine with my Logitech crayon and the Logitech case and keyboard combo makes this the absolute perfect device. Sure one day I would like a pro model but for now this is perfect for most people.
Hi! Im still torn about abt getting 10th gen 256gb or air 5 64gb. Im only mainly using it for taking notes or turning pics to pdfs and the occassional youtube and spotify too. Would it be wiser to get the 10th gen?
@@islasoleil7791 The Air is more powerful but power isn’t always needed, if they are the same price get the air if you’re saving at least 100-$200 get the 10th gen, honestly if that’s all you’re using it for get a 9th gen or even find a 7 th gen or 8th gen used for much cheaper.
@@islasoleil7791 get the 10th gen honestly if you’re only taking notes then having the extra power in the air doesn’t make much sense. And likely will last a few years or even longer.
It's not about the best one between these two. It's about the best value one provides for the purpose you're asking and for the money you're willing to pay. I'm going for the 10th gen because it gives me one extra hour of battery life and sports the new front camera setup, it has the power of the 2020 ipad air which gives five years of software updates support at the least.
Great comment! I was debating on which one to get and I may get the 10th gen with larger storage space. I heard the 10th generation has better battery life too.
For me, the main advantage of the Air is 8 GB of RAM. Paired with the M1 SoC, it will remain fast for years to come. 4GB of RAM in an iPad 10 is probably fine now, but what about the next couple of years? And the price difference due to the discount was very negligible. But still I would prefer to have a Mac OS instead of a phone OS. The iPad Air 5th has pretty much the same hardware as the Mac Air 2020. You can attach bt keyboard and mouse and even an external display! Hope to see more professional OS.
These are entry level iPads 4GB of ram is fine for everyday. They will still function fine in the next 5 years from now just based on how well older models are performing to date. My mother uses my older iPad 6th gen and I have the 9th gen and they still function fine for emails, browsing, videoplay back and those models even less ram. The technical specs of hardware isn't as obsolete as you think just after a few years.
@@NaturalLemon I’ve spent a long time deciding, especially because I already have the gen 1 Pencil which is compatible with the 10! I use it with my ipad 8 but I can’t bring my desktop which I use to edit films with me to boarding school so I’m getting an air 5 to use for editing. And hardware is important to me because it needs to process 4k footage from my Sony camera smoothly. So I guess it depends on the situation ✨
Disagree. My Air 4 has only 4 GB of memory yet streams 4K movies with amazing image quality and no lag, despite being connected wirelessly. But that is where the tablet’s form factor ends. It cannot replace a workstation for authoring, and therefore does not need a “professional” OS. In fact, many would argue the Air 4 with 256 GB storage might be the Goldilocks solution for general tablet use among the iPad range, if not in the industry.
I have an air 5 and am thinking of downgrading and using the cashback for something else. I love this machine, it's so slick and light, and the sound is brilliant, but I don't really use its full power, for my needs I know a basic ipad will do the job, and losing the laminated display wouldn't dissuade me from downgrading to a 10 either, it's a loss of quality, but not a huge one. I think the air 5 is aimed at artists and editors and at those for whom having state-of-the-art stuff is important. For office use and daily life, it's a bit overkill.
I am an artist but semi-professional. I mostly just draw tattoo flashes etc. and I bought Air 5 last year second handed. This was my first Apple device ever so first I was like "wow" and using this iPad was almost like a ritual for me but after few months I barerly used it. I didn't put glass protector cause I read on the internet it may affect the drawing experience, cause problems with apple pencil etc. and the apple pencil isn't able to scratch the screen since its designed to use on it. Oh god, I wish I could go back in time and unread this bullsh*t and put the protector on my iPad when it hasn't any scratches...It made me thinking of selling this iPad and buy some cheaper model but this time brand new and definitely with screen protector. So I sold it few days ago and I'm looking for a cheaper model.
I just ordered the 10th gen iPad in pink. 😊 I also ordered a third party stylus pen, wireless keyboard, case, and paper like screen protector during Amazon Prime Deal Days. And as an Amazon employee I got an additional 10% off on top of the sale so I only paid $404 for the 256 gb version.
I use my iPad Air 5th gen everyday. For school, work, entertainment, planning, notes taking. Also the biggest thing I love about it is the external monitor support. It works so good. My only complaint is certain apps that would largely benefit from 16:9 support don’t. Like games for example, I play a lot of asphalt 9 and 5e complete full screen isn’t available but I hope sooner or later they get around to it
@@dragomegaman3711 don’t believe it. My iPad has been through a lot and it’s perfect. No creaking no cracks or dings. I think people created that story out of thing air just to push people to get the iPad pros instead
They are both nice iPads! I bought both to compare and I kept the 10th gen because the iPad Air 5 had a real flimsy thin backing plate that buckled and flexed and made noise whereas the 10th gen iPad has a beefy thick chassis. I also like Bluetooth 5.2 upgrade and the front facing camera on the center position.
@@lmaolmaolmaoooIn that case the iPad Air 5 or the iPad Pro would be your choices with the iPad Pro being the better choice because you get double the storage, 4 speakers, Thunderbolt connector, slightly better colors, a better chassis, 120 Hz refresh rate and Better Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity for only $200.00 more than the iPad Air5.
Oh why did I wait so long to replace my ancient iPad? ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U This is a perfect size with perfect features. Like all my Apple products I am able to intuitively navigate my way around. I like the fingerprint button, though I have to update it from time to time. I purchased a bluetooth keyboard so I can use this to write more easily. And the price was outstanding. I take my iPad with me everywhere. It's my buddy.
I'd still choose the iPad 9th over the 10th. It's offers the same experience for much less. If you are willing to pay more, the iPad air is the way to go. Although it doesn't seem that much of a difference, it certainly is more future proof than the 10th
One of the biggest advantages I see about getting the iPad Air 5 over the 10th gen is the Air 5 has better accessory support with the Pencil 2 and the Magic Keybaord. I use both accessories with my M2 iPad Pro, and they’re awesome, and are far better than the Magic Keboard Folio and Pencil 1 you have to use on the 10th gen. Plus, if you upgrade from an Air to a Pro, you can reuse both accessories, unlike with the 10th gen. Even if you don’t need a MKB or a Pencil 2, I’d still recommend the Air 5 because of the more future-proof internals, and the laminated display. If you’re really on a budget, then go for a 9th gen iPad. I got the chance to use one, and it’s a wonderful tablet, especially for the prices you can get it for.
@@kiwi.kiwi. I didn’t notice any issues with creaking when I used the Air 5, and I keep my iPads in cases. I don’t think you should let that scare you away from getting one.
@@chi-towncalifornia5916 yes haha that was 2 weeks ago now I'm thinking of buying it because even my Samsung tablet makes noises and comes into contact with the internals if I press the screen enough
You can use the pressure curve to adjust how hard or light you have to press for pressure sensitivity. I have to adjust it all the time for different calligraphy brushes.
As an update, the base model iPad Air 5th gen starts at 64 GB at $599 and the iPad 10th gen you can get a 256 GB upgrade for the same price of $599 (both WiFi models). The other spec differences for me are minuscule enough where that big of storage difference made me just purchase a 256 GB 10th gen, it arrives next week.
Adding to my critique as I did forget to mention your excellent coverage on specs to include great pics, the visuals complete of the key differences side by side. Well-done. Only again undecided but at least closer to my pick. Thank you for such a knowledgeable and even enjoyable review along with your confident and engaging manner. Subscribed. 🎉
For casual web browsing and reading the news, ipad 9th gen for 250 bucks is the best value. Still insanely fast and half the price of either one of these.
I agree 100 percent. In November 2022, I ordered a basic 9th generation iPad on Apple's Veteran web site fully loaded with 256GB and the data cell option which, saved me 10 percent. Next, I added the Logitech "Combo Touch" and everything has been working great (smile...smile).
I say this all the time but I’ll share it here too. I agree that 64gb is not enough for most people on an iPad. So if we go with the lowest storage beyond 64gb, you have: iPad Air M1 (256) - $749 iPad Pro M2 11” (128) - $799 For $50, I think it would be a mistake for most to take the Air over the Pro with it’s additional specs & features.
@@KyleEricksoni think just addition of features that you naturally use as pro motion, better speakers, more future proof chip, extra camera, faster usb c is enough argument to spend this 50 usd extra. But this is just hammering from apple to buy ipad pro. This kinda of scale no one wants 64 GB so if you will go with 256 GB ipad 10 you can buy ipad air for that money but again 64 GB and when you bump air to 256 here is already pro so why just not go with a pro? Excellent strategy for them bad one for us😂😂
lol this... but instead you start with the mini which is too slow, the air which can't store much, or the pro which costs a lot compared to the mini! 😂😂
The iPad 10 will be great if you won't be using an Apple Pencil to write a lot and don't care about a laminated display, while getting the same storage sizes, cheaper, and same device sizes as the iPad air 5. I personally like writing a lot for school, so the iPad 10 would give me a frustrating time to use with the Apple Pencil situation, so the iPad air 5 is much more worth it to me with the Apple pencil 2nd generation, for a much smoother writing experience. The ipad first generation pencil is really glitchy to use now adays. The pencil won't let you write at times and makes you plug it into a charger before it activates. The Ipad 2nd generation doesn't have this issue. I personally upgraded from an ipad 9 after a year of use just because how sick I was with how the first gen pencil operated and the old design of the device.
Best review I’ve seen so far. Love the fact that he show/demonstrates the differences and literally narrates his user experience. -hope that made sense haha but giving this a thumbs up
@@KyleErickson You're welcome - I'm picky about what I watch! FYI I have the same LG monitor as you and the Mac Mini - I turned to that after years with 27" imacs which Apple cut off. The monitor is excellent and the Mini is so damn quiet I'm glad it has a light on the front!
i ordered air like an hour ago, got an amazing deal, free pencil with it because of the student discount, so it was practically only 50$ difference if i got an 10th gen with pencil and dongal.
i still have an ipad 6 from 2018.... and its still very good. i only use it for media consumption, browsing the web, also i have a 3rd party pen which works fine for note taking (which i dont do very often).... the only thing i really like more about the newer ipads is the form factor. What i want to say is - if the form factor doesnt matter to you and you dont do video / photo editing and co - just buy neither the 10 or the air. just get an ipad 9, since its much cheaper.
Helpful comparison. Love my iPad mini 6. Getting it was a revelation for me, the size is perfect for how I use it and changed how I use my phone and laptop.
My only hesitation between the two is the difference between one having the matt screen and the other having the front camera placement. I’m about to buy but absolutely torn. This was the best review I’ve seen, but they both have specs I’d like. It’s annoying…
I'm an artist too and I've been using my 7th gen ipad until now. The laminated display is absolutely *not* a must, esp if you're used to using display tablets like the cintiq... It feels exactly the same. lol.
@@KryaDiere maybe we’re not on the same preference. Also I’m considering the RAM, Layers are so important to me coz I am a heavy user. 2-3 gb of ram is not enough for me.
@@KryaDiere I agree with you. I’m an illustrator and I’m on an iPad 6th generation with a 1st generation Apple Pencil. The separation in the screen has never bothered me. The ipad 9 is actually the best deal if you only use the tablet for "light" tasks. But otherwise I agree that the Air5 is the better deal even though you are paying a bit more.
95% of people use their iPad for “light tasks”: web browsing, email and messaging, streaming video, note taking, reading, casual drawing, some gaming. For those tasks, I still haven’t been convinced that you need more than a plain vanilla iPad.
@@Janknitz1 correct. To be honest, I've seen a lot of people doing those kind of tasks only and ended up buying ipad pro. I mean obviously it's their money but for me, vanilla ipad is more than enough
Thank you, for a every good comparison review between both iPad models. For myself, I never recommend the basic iPad 10th generation ... it is either the older basic iPad 9th generation or the older iPad 4th generation. If you prefer the newer design and use of the Apple 2nd generation pencil the iPad Air is the winner. However, if like myself you prefer the older classic design and look its the basic iPad 9th generation for you. Which, still has a home button, headphone jack, lighting port, and also supports Apple's "center stage" function (smile...smile).
Great video comparison, for me I'm still using my 7th gen 10.2" iPad and it works perfectly fine for me, I typically used it for studying in college and digital illustration on procreate in my free time and it still does these jobs well after more than 3 years of use , if i have to choose, I think the 10th gen iPad is more than enough for everyone doing regular tasks on thier iPad beside intense work like professional video editing, cuz for that type of work you should be more into investing in a MacBook air imo
I use an IPad Air 3. I use it pretty much as a Laptop Replacement (Pay Bills, Stream Movies/Music, E-Mails, Browsing, Video Conferencing, etc.) I also do connect it to an external monitor sometimes using an Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapter. I planning on Updating my device but I will probably continue IPad Air. What I do like in the IPad 10 is the Camera set up for Landscape mode, but I Don’t believe it is compelling enough to buy an IPad 10.
I noticed the microphone was clearer in my opinion on the IPad Air than the IPad 10. This comparison is what we are currently thinking about to replace my IPad 7th generation and my wife’s MacBook. I’m thinking about the Air for the processor since I think it could future proof a little longer with the M1.
I’ve watched a number of comparison vids, yours is the one that convinced me. You are the only one to discuss the benefit of stage manager (for someone who is not familiar with Apple), and what sold me is the external hard drive hookup as to me, that’s important. Thank you!
I just bought an iPad Air 5th gen yesterday. I have an iPad Air 2 for the past six years, until I trip and fell and smashed it on the concrete. Your video is helpful. Any reason why it's more expensive than the latest iPad? Is is because there's more tech in the Air 5?
I’m migrating back to Apple products after many years of being w/Samsung so I’ve been OD’ing on comparison videos. Ended up getting the Air, not because it was better but because it happens to be the least expensive model between the two (at Best Buy) rn. Great video!
I think future proof is a big thing for me. I buy products and keep them for years. My current iPad is the iPad Pro 10.5" (2017) and I am struggling to part with it for the iPad 10th gen or iPad Air. Mainly due to the fact that neither iPad have a 120hz display.
Thank you SO much. I’ve just spent over an hour in Apple losing my mind over comparing models (never had a tablet before at all). Watching this outside the store you’ve clarified so much for me!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
My daily driver has been the IPad mini. I just love the compact size for when I’m on the go for note taking at school. But the main reason I use it for flight planning and using it while I’m flying. Cant beat the compact size, when the cockpit is small.

11:15 eSim is available everywhere. We got nano sim in Romania but you can always opt for esim and render the slot useless. Also the m1 drains less battery than the a14 during heavy load because its consuming the SAME power and its performing faster. Staying longer on the task will consume more power, yes. Nothing there linked to battery life.
I have just sold my 6th gen iPad and lean to buy Air 5 rather than iPad 10. Based on this video, advantages I like are anti-reflective coating and better speakers quality. The price difference in Ukraine is $100 (400 vs 500) Thanks a lot for a great review!

I observe that in mid September of 2022, I bought the iPad Air 5 combination (inc Pencil) indicated above for $1588, getting it just before a significant price hike by Apple. This was to replace an iPad 7th generation.
Exactly! Thank you, I was wondering about the same thing. Just got an Air 5. In apple literature the air 5 is shown in portrait position when using the front camera.
Honestly it’s a 230$ difference to get the air 5 with it decked out… while I’m not saying that’s cheap but for what your spending anyway… you might as well go with air, you get the pencil, laminated display, and thank you anti glare screens for those of us who like to read outside. Best extra 230$ I ever spent.
I don't understand the use case for editing photos or videos on a tiny little iPad, except for trivial edits. I do photo and video work on my MacBook m3 laptop, and use the 10th gen iPad for media consumption only. From this perspective, the Air doesn't make sense to me.
I used to have iPod Air 4th Gen. Was really nice but found myself not using it much. I have a nice M1 MacBook Air and upsized to the 15 ProMax which is a lot more comfortable to hold and a really sweet spot for me with screen size. Sold the iPad.
I need to buy a new iPad for my 14 years old daughter. I thought it is time to have one that she can use for the coming school years, also replacing her Lenovo Yoga book and old iPad Air (2). Any hints? At this point Air 5 seems a better choice. The front camera placement is a drawback, yes - but besides that Air 5 offers so much more. She is also talented in drawing and music so I thought it would open up a possibility for her as well to develop into any directions...
Thank you very much for your excellent and accurate explanation and excellent visuals of the difference in both thickness and in drawing perception of lag due to screen gap vs laminated. I use my iPad Air 5th to record the voices of the teacher in the lecture in the college, and I write notes and lessons during the recording. This iPad is wonderful and accurate in capturing and recording voices from a distance.
Nice review and very helpful. I chose an excellent condition open box Air 5 because of the screen and faster chip. But somehow i missed the front facing camera difference. Wish the Air had a center view.
Exellent visuals of the difference in both thickness and in drawing perception of lag due to screen gap vs laminated. Overall very comprehensive coverage and accurate details of the key differences and therefore different use cases for price paid. Thank you.
For most students either the basic iPad 9th or 10th generation work well. However, just remember on the iPad 10th generation the USB "C" port will only support the much slower USB 2.0 transfer speed.

It’s all banged up and starting to lose support on newer apps and slowing down while browsing too so the iPad 10 gen sounds more than enough for me. Thank you 🙏🏽

I use the iPad 10, the price difference of over 100£ just wasn’t justifiable. My iPad 10 works perfectly and I edit, take notes, draw and game.
Thanks for defending the 10 !
is it still working fine?
Thanks for the comparison. I like the side camera on the iPad 10 but in every other way the Air is a better fit for me, primarily due to the M1 chip.
I upgraded from an iPad mini 2 to the iPad 10 and I’m loving it 🎉
I just switched from my old windows laptop to this 10th gen iPad. Unless you are drawing more than anything else don’t spend more on an air. This camera is amazing, drawing is just fine with my Logitech crayon and the Logitech case and keyboard combo makes this the absolute perfect device. Sure one day I would like a pro model but for now this is perfect for most people.
Should have gotten the 9th gen
@@kid5042 well since I did my homework and my daughter has a 9th I made the right choice for me. Thanks for your input though.
For me the 10th gen will be better for me because i'll only use it to watch movies and youtube at work
Great comment!
What is the difference between a mac OS, and a phone OS, sorry for my bad english grammar by the way?
@@andrjsjan4231 Hi, lack of professional software. Also I would prefer multiuser mode, since it's a family device.
Like games for example, I play a lot of asphalt 9 and 5e complete full screen isn’t available but I hope sooner or later they get around to it
I've read that iPad air has build quality issues. May I ask for your indepth opinion on this?

They are both nice iPads! I also like Bluetooth 5.2 upgrade and the front facing camera on the center position.
Oh wow, I didn't realize this was still in issue. I thought it was only with the early units.
But I love the camera on the short side bc cI like my calls in portrait mode.
Thanks Kyle perfect comparison. Helped immensely.

Except the creaking noises, thin backplate... I'm confused and scared of buying it now.
@@kiwi.kiwi. I didn’t notice any issues with creaking when I used the Air 5, and I keep my iPads in cases. I don’t think you should let that scare you away from getting one.

So if we go with the lowest storage beyond 64gb, you have:
iPad Air M1 (256) - $749
iPad Pro M2 11” (128) - $799
For $50, I think it would be a mistake for most to take the Air over the Pro with it’s additional specs & features.
what if you don't use the features?
@@KyleEricksoni think just addition of features that you naturally use as pro motion, better speakers, more future proof chip, extra camera, faster usb c is enough argument to spend this 50 usd extra. But this is just hammering from apple to buy ipad pro.
This kinda of scale no one wants 64 GB so if you will go with 256 GB ipad 10 you can buy ipad air for that money but again 64 GB and when you bump air to 256 here is already pro so why just not go with a pro? Excellent strategy for them bad one for us😂😂
Fair enough - as long at 128gb will suit your needs.
lol this... but instead you start with the mini which is too slow, the air which can't store much, or the pro which costs a lot compared to the mini! 😂😂
128 gb may not be enough and the rest of those features are irrelevant

What i want to say is - if the form factor doesnt matter to you and you dont do video / photo editing and co - just buy neither the 10 or the air. just get an ipad 9, since its much cheaper.
The only thing that the iPad Air 5 lacks to be perfect is the front camera position. It should be like in the iPad Gen 10.

What did you purchase in the end?
I own the iPad air 5, I'm a digital artist, and the laminated display is a must.

Awesome video!!! Just got the 10th gen yesterday. Now I see that the Air 5 is the same price I feel that I made the wrong choice. 😮

I don't understand the use case for editing photos or videos on a tiny little iPad, except for trivial edits. I do photo and video work on my MacBook m3 laptop, and use the 10th gen iPad for media consumption only. From this perspective, the Air doesn't make sense to me.

If all you're doing is taking notes, the iPad 10 is totally fine.
For most students either the basic iPad 9th or 10th generation work well. However, just remember on the iPad 10th generation the USB "C" port will only support the much slower USB 2.0 transfer speed.

Great video! I have an ipad air 3rd gen & Im looking for a newer gadget. Which do you think is better: ipad air 5th gen or ipad 10th gen? I want to use it for work and graduate studies
i want the 10th gen pink one😫💖it looks so pretty and i need a upgrade
Very helpful video. Thank you. With just $100 difference, benefits seems to outweigh the cost.
Which is better if I want just for media consumption
I have the iPad pro 10.5 inch, should I switch to the air 5? Y really like the design
No one can make that decision but you. Follow your heart 💖
Best Buy has the iPad Air for $499 ($100 off) this week which just sounded like a great deal so I got one today. Btw this was a great review. Very informative.
I also got my iPad Air from Best Buy! And the Logitech combo touch is a wonderful keyboard/case
Sucks because I just got my dam Air 4
@@kid5042 in my opinion, had it not been for the M1 chip in the 5, I probably would have gotten the 4.
@@jbiebsluver321 Yea I just got the keyboard and the 4 open box for $399 and 100 for the keyboard then all of a sudden the 5 was on sale for 499.
@@kid5042 that’s why I say to always go for the mid option, especially when it comes to apple products. I have them all, but none of my models are “pro” or the top tier. Usually there are aspects of higher end specs in middle grade options
Currently using iPad Air 4 gen and iPad 8 gen. I notice a big difference in web browsing with the Air loading web sites faster and I’m frustrated with the laggy gen 8. I really wanted a 120 Hz screen on my Air and was hoping Air 5 gen would offer this. No luck. So should I buy a refurbished M1 or M2 pro model with 128 Gig? With apps and iOS taking ever more space Inonly have 30 gigs free of 64 gig. I will only use to read kindle books, email, web browse, take notes with Logitech keyboard.
Does the ipad 10th gen worth up to this 2024?
The more I see these videos, the happier I get with my iPad 9 64GB wifi-only model.
I have always used a Kindle fire but need something more. I spend more than 8 hours a day on it and find I need a new one every one to two years. I read a book a day, do research and would now like to use it for artwork and other creative ventures. My grandson likes to make videos and play games when he is here. What would be the best product for our usage? And how big a difference compared to the Kindle fire?
Get the air 5 if he does a lot of video editing but the 10th gen would be great for youand you wouldn't need the M1 chip but for your grandson it's air 5
Looking at the Air 5 or Mini 6. Only way I'd get the 10th gen is if I found a really good deal.
Thanks for this. Very Comprehensive. I like the ability to use it as a workstation when plugged into a USB hub.
Can you please write the name of that pencil you said , which is 30 dollars?
This was sooo informative! I use the iPad Air 2 but iOS 16 or higher isn’t supported so a new iPad Air is in my future thanks for the comparison!
Same here
I just upgraded from iPad 5 to iPad 10. No need for anything more for my use case.
I bought a used air 5 this week, but still debating if to get a new 10 gen instead. It's for my daughter 11 who loves to draw and video Edit (light). Did I make the right choice?
For artists using Procreate RAM matters as well. As Procreate limits number of layers based on RAM. So AIR is better for Professional Artists.
Thank you for explaining the differences. I'm not a tech person so this made my decision much easier!
Still using my first GEN iPad Pro and still great
I just got the iPad Air in blue 256gb and Iove it so far
Got iPad 10 because wanted cellular model which costed same as non cellular model of iPad Air. Also I don't find the need of M1 on a 60hz display... if the display was 120hz in air for a little price jump then it would be a deal breaker.
