I just bought it yesterday as a first time saddle hunter and I’m excited! It was more affordable and simplified for a beginner. I like how they kept Tethrd’s designs and the way the sticks stack nicely! I’m excited to use this system! You have inspired me to try out a saddle, seems awesome of how mobile it is! Thanks for the review!
@@breekelsi it should’ve been $675 but I got a discount for 10% so it came out to with tax around $630. I still need the HYS strap, bow hanger, knee pads/ cushion, and I want to get rope man ascender. But it was def cheaper than buying a saddle alone, then the hauler bags, and tethrd and lineman’s rope, and recliner. Def a cheaper option and I love it all its really nice
I always had portable, climbing tree stands. Never had a ladder stand, because of hunting public land. Did not want other hunters moving in, because they found my stand. Wish saddles were available years ago. Thanks, Kaitlyn. Love your videos!!
GREAT AD, and it's about time they made something more affordable. now i can try this out, only because of you tho. KEEP UP THE WORK GIRL. The bumbleBEE got you on the right track
Thanks, answered a bunch of questions on saddle hunting, watched your video too on using one. Your a real pro already, Congrats, look forward to following your adventures!! Now time to order a workhorse!
Had appendix surgery last week so just waiting to get back to normal physically to get some saddle practice in keep the videos coming 👍 helps kill the time till i get healed up
I've been watching reviews on the grit line and your the first person to put anything in the pockets on the saddle and tether and linemens disappeared that's what I have been wanting to see how big they were they are real big
You could wait on the cost of a platform if you climb up to a big enough branch or set of branches to use as your platform. For anyone wanting to buy a little at a time so to speak.
It's a good system like mine, but I did it all by myself. It would be even better if you increase the width of the belt under your back by 2 times and replace the saddle with a wide board. And so everything is OK.
I saw the Grit line yesterday in a store here in North Louisiana. Looked pretty decent. I messed up and picked up a box of the $450 carbon steps before picking up the Grit steps so they felt a little heavy 😂
Look I’m all for saddle hunting and frankly think it’s the best thing out there for mobile, modular hunters on public or private land. There isn’t anything affordable about this set up. Typical industry hype. $300 saddle, $200 for steps and 180-200 for the platform. $700 isn’t my idea of affordable. Using the same system I personally use I can get in a tree for under $300. If people don’t agree just look up prices. Again, I am all for saddle hunting or anything getting more people into the outdoors but spending this much money shouldn’t be considered an affordable package.
Let these over hyped wanna be hunter sales people fool the masses 🤣. At least the dummies not capable of building their own or critical thought are pumping money into hunting
@HardLifeBowhunting-m8h yeah. A simple line worker setup, or rock climb set up with a small foot.platform can easily do the same. It's just funny that companies are charging 💲💲💲 for "specific" equipment.
With everything she listed here minus the quick draw bow how it is $851. I can easily tell you I am way outdated on prices of things, but I would hate to see what the price of normal-priced saddle hunting items cost. Great vid as always.
You have to look at it like you only need one set up. And you don't technically need all the accessories. So you're paying for one system that is cheaper than others. Yes everything these days is expensive. Inflation sucks. But you're not having to buy a bunch of treestands to put out either. Also this comment is for everyone to see, not directed at you specifically. Just wanted to clarify for those asking
I’m listening… as a Canadian I need to multiply US prices by 2.5 by the time exchange, shipping and import fees occur. Makes spotting overpriced items easy 😅
Like the videos but grit is not affordable to the average* working man. That’s more like the mondo from xop if we’re being honest amongst everyone. The average* house hold income is 74k + or - and that’s gets wrapped up into bills very quickly speaking from a house hold that makes more than that. The grit is a great way to break the bank and find out that saddle hunting isn’t for you. To every one. Get the xop to see if you’ll like saddle hunting because once you buy this the people who can easily afford this isn’t going to buy it used from you.
Yea I guess it's all about perspective. You can buy a super cheap saddle and have a bad experience because it's not made well. This is meant to be top quality stripped down and simple to use at a lower price point than the top of the line. You also aren't buying more than one like you would treestands.
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors all kinds of respect for you and yes, it’s all about perspective. I don’t mean to be rash but I’ve been running the xop for a couple years now and people hang upside down in them on UA-cam videos, I’ve had the opportunity to run a tethrd phantom setup that a hunting buddy has and it’s the exact same as the xop mondo except it has an extra set of linemen loops that I didn’t even use. I would rather save the money on a saddle and platform that can hold a sxs in the air(more YT videos I’m speaking of) and put the extra money into a lease or more cell cameras for public land and also food plots, a kayak/boat for access, a hunt out west! The list goes on. I just look at the broader picture.
😂😂 budget friendly OK I can get everything I need for saddle hunting under $300 off Amazon😂 come on now get real how much did they pay you to say this?
@@KaitlynMausOutdoors works great so far absolutely love it, and I didn’t break the bank 😂 we all know they pay you to talk good about them.
