Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed flawlessly in Tokyo as 12th song in the setlist and Band-Maid played it perfectly in 12 US concerts as 8th to 11th song. Most of the audience at those venues had, of course, already known their skills and talents. They played this song as opening at two festivals (Summer Sonic, Japan and Aftershock, USA) and in Guns N' Roses concert in Japan as support to the legendary band. I felt very proud of them. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to the audience who did not know who the girls in maid outfit on the stage were. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" 😄
Saw them live in Seattle, and as much as Saiki the singer was the focal point of my attention, this song was a total highlight. So powerful and hard hitting. Thanks for this, the look on your face said it all.
A thing to really admire about them is their hard work and drive to continue getting better. It feels like they have all agreed that there is no ceiling and they can all improve somehow. No ego. They even are branching out in their duties to the group, with Saiki writing lyrics now (she wrote 'Hate?', I believe) and MISA composing more of the songs.
Saw Band-maid do this twice on the 2022 US Tour, Phoenix and Dallas, and it was amazing live! Miku's rhythm guitar was easier to hear live, the whole song was, as always with these ladies, brilliant! Magic Spell Time in Dallas was so special, we, (the crowd), struck Miku speechless with a special made towel, so much fun! If you can find that clip, you will really enjoy it!
And they just keep getting better...... MISA was very Chris Squire-esque, every time I hear and watch this YES comes to mind and I get nostalgic. Until MISA's arrival on the scene, Chris was my bass guitar hero, and so thankful the torched was passed to her.
I couldn't agree more. Misa uses a pick like Chris did quite a bit. It's strange, when I bring the Chris Squire comparison up in comments Chris Squire fans get quite annoyed. They do not want anyone getting close to their gods.
Thanks for the short & sweet distillation of FNO and where Band-Maid is right now. For me, this song really shows how Kanami and crew can write a moving instrumental narrative with plenty of complexity (but not too much!) to pin your attention to every note. I also agree that FNO really got the production it deserved. We know from certain past songs, recorded concerts, and albums that the studio engineering can be done well, and in general they _have_ been better lately. But I wish they were consistent about it.
Thanks Dean. Couldn't take your eyes off the screen. I keep saying BAND-MAID is still ascending after 10 years together. Evolving and creating thought provoking music melodies. Although a new song they nailed it Live on the recent US tour. I've been listening to music since the 60's and the Awesome BAND-MAID is proudly standing right next to my other favorites throughout the years. Can't wait to see where they take us next. Peace. 35.1
@@GaryHolloway-810 Thanks buddy. I've been watching Dean since before Band-Maid as he does a lot of my favorites including Kansas, who were my all time favorite until the Maids turned my musical world upside down. 🙃Literally, since they're on the other side of the world. 🤔
*Dean, BAND-MAID* also did a instrumental for *Akatsuki Winery "Dawn Winery Theme" (Genshin Concert 2022)* it is a beautiful song. _(Maybe some day a _*_BAND-MAID_*_ vinyl record will appear on your wall of fame)_ 🤩
Remember to close your mouth... Lol! As Miku (rhythm guitarist) gets better at playing, it frees up Kanami (lead guitarist) to write more complex, progressive tunes.
Constant growth and the need to challenge one's self are basic to Band Maid's genetic structure -- they can't be otherwise. Although most of the band's songs have wonderful creative/technical moments (oh hell, the entirety of the songs themselves are wonderful creative/technical moments), they do subscribe to the school of "serve the song first -- any ego issues can go to lunch". This credo is relaxed ( just a bit) in their instrumentals, allowing you to see where everyone's "levels" are at at that point in time -- they never treat any of their material (including instrumentals) as "filler". (Fortunately, Band Maid's members believe that confidence is important; ego -- not so much). From what I've seen, "jk kansasband" has very good taste in music -- you were wise to embrace his suggestion (although you seem rather wise in your own right, and can probably get along very well without suggestions -- including mine). I saw the band Kansas twice in concert in their heyday...but, somehow, I have the feeling that that has absolutely nothing to do with anything going on here....
I was gifted a point of know return LP and I still haven't played it! Funny, when I was young I never complained about not having more time to listen to records....
@@deanwolfechannel As a teenager/young adult, I could go in my room and listen to "my music" for 16 hours straight before coming out. I had responsibilities: I just ignored many of them. Now that I have to face my responsibilities, I am musically malnourished.
What I really appreciate is that they are not just a studio band. I saw them twice last fall and they pull this off live. The only difference is you can feel the bass hit you in the chest.
Why do you keep reacting to Band Maid when you can tell its not kind of music. It must be for the big reaction you get for your site from BM fans. You're reactions are so weak....."listen to the bass"....when Kanami is ripping thru a solo. Kanami' guitar skill have always been there but she does'nt over play...she plays what will make the song sound better. This instrumental gave her more freedom but you can still hear how melodic it sounded. Listen to what you like and leave you're mediocre reception for another band.

I remember the days when Band Maid were great. Now they have gone far beyond just being great. They are phenomenal.

Agree about them leveling up. They said in interviews this is a song they could not have done until recently.

I have reacted to a ton of their music and I never tire of it. This one really knocked my socks off tho
I love it when Band Maid dish out some much-deserved rock n' roll discipline.
😂👍
Many of us just recently saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. And the BPM’s matched the DB's! 😶🌫Thx, Dean!

Chris would get dewy eyed hearing her in this song- amazing
I close my eyes during Misa's bass solo and I see Chris Squire and I smile. great reactions keep them coming :)

YES! Ah, I mean... astute observation, Rod. ;-) And beyond the unique basslines and chops, MISA has a signature sound, too. Great comparison!
Cool! I doubt he knew about them (?) but if he did I'm sure she would catch his ear

FROM NOW ON was part of their set for the US tour. Here's a fan-cam from San Francisco: ua-cam.com/video/QrkLbzMVPX4/v-deo.html
thanks I will be checking this out Greg (my brother's name is Greg)
That piano on the backing track has got to be Kanami.

They must be doing well. Those all look like $50,000 guitars. MISA has a new bass. Kanami has always been sponsored I know.
Very nice reaction. Thx. Prog on 👍💪
Thanks! 😎
Next year they will be ten years together already. It's amazing how far they've come since their first record. Well done, thanks Dean.
Hope there's 10 more

Try "without holding back" too, another instrumental while not as journey bound as this song, it's still decently prog and quite a bit heavier.

without vocals this band is kind of enjoyable, but still, tastelessness with a different look than usual.
