  • Here are good settings and the sounds for the minelab Excalibur 2 metal detector. Of course it will need to be adjusted to fit your environment but this is a great basic guide.
The person teaching is Joe from Reilly's Treasure Gold in South Fl.

Great info well needed thanks as I'm new to the Excalibur, at first I couldn't understand from setting out threshold then over a target say negative then going to that bee sound stuck in a jar I was thinking what's this ahhh where's that nice threshold sound gone! Minelab next day I was on phone they were so helpful it's normal it changes as you go over new targets, and your information made me realise there is a learning curve with this great detector that gave me the impression it was turn on and go! Happy hunting everyone

For just around $1600 after taxes you got your self a very very aweome gold detector and can go along the rivers edge never having to worry about being damaged by the water 🌊💦 for it is made for it now boys you wont see me pay anything over what i paid for that mine lab Excalibur to because it will do everything most all the detectors will now if you're talkin 2 -3 ft then we're talking a whole different ball game now your talking $8000 -$12'000 and more and yeha you better find some nice nuggets so you can pay that dude off

Only suggestion I have but its a big one for myself, put the headphones on the mic so the audience can hear the tones really well. I want so badly to hear those tones up close and personal but its always the guy holding the detector that is wearing the headphones in the videos. Love the video, with that exception... Thanks for sharing...

I don't know if I can afford an Excalibur II right away. What's the next best Detector next to the Excalibur II ? Thanks.

I have found that pull tabs and nickels sound just like gold rings. I have an Excal II that I have used regularly for over 5 years. I have found a lot of gold rings and necklaces, etc..

they can be the same ID on a digital metered detector. I found a golden ring with exact same target id as the pull tabs :/

@@monstertruckess You are correct. I have an equinox 800 that I alternate using with my excalibur. The numerical readings for a nickel and a pull tab are very close in number (13). But I have found gold rings at 15 and 21 also. I found an 18k gold earring at 4. I just dig everything.

Very nice video. I'm debating on this detector. I like it cause it's waterproof. But was kinda scared about the settings. Do you still like it?

The MineLabs Equinox 900 is water proof up to 16ft. I have the Excalibur two. I would trade it in for a new Equinox 900 although the Excalibur 2 is 300.00 to 400.00 more expensive. I want a visual meter giving a better idea what my target is. Plus the 900 is also water proof up to 5 meters. Over 16 feet. I’ve used my Excalibur two on stable land yet there is always false sounds
