Well if this was the Astoria show where they were supporting Ash then I was indeed there.

@@isaakfoley1861 Ash were the headliner. I went with my mate (an Ash fan) and in the same week we travelled to Astoria to see Feeder (my choice) supported by My Vitriol and A.
Not a bad week.
The next day after seeing Muse play half a dozen songs I went to the music store and found the only CD album of Showbiz they had and bought it.

There's actually nothing really unusual about this crowd - this is what all rock gigs were like in the 2000s, before people got phones and started making shitty videos, instead of dancing and moshing.
No cellphones, that was awesome, the good old fucking times! :D

That is what concerts should be like. Absolutely amazing music AND crowd

I'm so grateful I've seen Muse in 2001 at the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Italy. No smartphones, just music, eyes, ears and moshpit! Unforgettable!❤

the fact that I wasn't even born during this concert really bums me out
I was either at this concert or their previous concert at the Astoria (supporting Ash).
One of their most uplifting songs in my opinion and maybe the best off Showbiz. Would love to see them play this live but at the moment I think that's unlikely. Still, I can dream!!

Can’t believe the last time they played this live was November 2001! Why though!? I get it, it’s not exactly their most talked about song, but over 20 years of not playing it? Com on! 😢But I still believe they will play it one day! One day!
Because they had been playing this song since 1997. Eventually you get bored. Plus they had newer songs, more complex songs they wanted to play.

Always remember the song unintended (their first album ) and then the origins album thinking, yay , like the singles ,wasn’t really to into all of that album (took years to get use to it ) and thinking, ya, okay band but that falsetto ala Tom Yorke stuff won’t catch on . Reminded me too much like the Irish group JJ72 who were around at the time (their famous song was Snow )
This was still a time when the likes of oasis were big as a live band, ash made a big come back with Free All Angels Album, Feeder got their rewards for all their really good material (much of it promoted by the PlayStation GRAND Turismo game ) , and you had the revival of garage rock
Oh I was wrong , after seeing them live circa 2006ish …fucking hell , amazing . Now they are mega big in the US etc
I live their first album more than anything else. More than my life. Showbiz, god, it’s great.
@@FoxkøøStudios77 it’s surprisingly a good album. I saw them at a festival when that came out or just before it. Not paying attention to them , thinking, “ah a poor copying of Radiohead” . Only copped onto them once Plug in Baby and New Born were unleashed
