    If you are in Las Vegas and are into Dice Influencing I highly recommend a one-on-one with Ronnie at Casino Quest. I had a great 1 hour session and took away a page of notes that I believe will significantly improve my consistency. Ronnie is very knowledgeable and is a great teacher. One example of a change I have noticed is the number of chips on my throwing station I use to count my rolls. For more than a year I have had about 10 chips on it and I have never used them all before a 7. Yesterday I had to go get more chips twice and ended up with a 25 roll. On a stop at Red Rock the day after my session I was able to make much more than the session cost, thank you Ronnie and Casino Quest!

      @ I haven't checked the prices since I had my session but at the time it was $75 for one hour. There was a lot of information to process in that hour and I felt it was a bargin. I may do a two hour session with Howard Rock n Roller, he is double that.

      So, why didn't Ronnie show us his so called skills? True dice setters have the dice do a dead cat bounce right at the wall. Only very few people in the world are genuine dice setters and they don't teach and they stay under the radar.

    I wouldn’t pay for anyone to “teach” me how to set dice. However, I have found that when setting the dice on the come out throw, I set the dice to all 7’s. It does help to get that 7/11 your looking for. Once point is established, I set to all hard ways and it helps to eliminate the 7/11. I don’t have a specific way of “tossing” the dice, and I don’t worry about finger placement. It has worked for me to get a nice long roll. It’s not fool proof but it’s done very well for me.

      Since he is using a "Hard Way" set a "5" and "2" means one die rotated 2 sides more than the other. The dice were rolling straight (on axis). A "1" or "6" using the hard way means that the die was "off axis" as it did not roll straight. Object is for the dice to rotate equally and come up as a hard 4, 6, 8 or 10. If one dice is off 1 side rotation then you will never 7 out.

      Every craps table is different. Look close. The base level may be off table to table by mere inches, more or less. The table top... is it worn out, new??? Bouncy or hard??? Length of the table... based on the venue... what spot is available for the shooter (stick right, stick left)??? a true set and control shooter will have to take all of this into account and find a table that is close to his/her practice table... not an easy task. That being said... once found... pure. I've been able to find that sweet spot twice... pure hero. Memories that will last for lifetime.

      I’ve watched a lot of dice setting trying to improve but personally I’m with you. You have to hit the back wall and the alligator covering was designed to break up the dice to insure randomness. You could try to target the tiny strip on the bottom that isn’t covered but they might call it saying it didn’t hit the backing. I love the game but there is so much superstition people bring to the table when really it’s just a mathematical game (just like all gambling)

    I'm interested in learning dice setting, but I'm a fully blind Craps player. How would you adapt this training for a blind player? Would take more tactile practice and being able to feel the pips or set the dice quickly with verbal instruction when actually playing, but orienting to the table and figuring out where to aim and land the dice would take some repetition and work.

    • @robertlukacs1762
      @robertlukacs1762 3 роки тому +1

      You sir I would love to shoot craps with. I assume you’re able to feel the spots on the dice. So you need eyes to locate the landing zone. Have a friend touching the back of your non throwing hand. Where they touch indicating where the dice land. Double touch is two bounces before wall. Right or left touch to indicate from center wall. This way dealers don’t think you’re being coached. Easily could be done with the right person.

    • @marconiusiii
      @marconiusiii 3 роки тому

      @@robertlukacs1762 Verbal acknowledgement would work, but for training, it would come down to learning how to feel for and set the dice, or my sighted wife could quickly tell me the orientation when the dice are passed to me so I can deduce which way to turn them. For the landing zone, someone could set a check near the zone and tap it with the stick so I can hear where I need to aim, and then practice, practice, practice. Once I get the muscle memory down, I should be able to adapt it to any table.

    • @robertlukacs1762
      @robertlukacs1762 3 роки тому

      So have you wife say left top 6 face 3. All you need to do is memorize the dice examples 6 is opposite of 1, 2 is to 5 and 3 is to 4. So 6-3 means 2 on left 5 on right 4 on back. I can set the dice pretty quickly at places that don’t allow you to set. But I have my eyesight. As to grip use a pencil to limit your finger tip grip. Finger tips on pencil middle finger on crack of the two dice. Thumb also on crack and just as much as fingers. Try this at coffee in the morning. Two dice and two pencils. Lay the pencils flat with the dice in the middle. Practice picking up the dice keeping the dice tight together but with a light grip. Grabbing the dice tightly will cause them to stick to your fingers

    • @robertlukacs1762
      @robertlukacs1762 3 роки тому

      Also your idea about someone tapping the table for you or asking the stick man to (questionable) is risky unless they are with you. I know you can hear things very well, I just hope you’re able to distinguish your helpers from the other’s. That’s why I suggested the hand signals. Just remember that when you toss the dice the only digit that moves from the grip is your thumb. Keep them fingers together. Hopefully this helps

    WHAT is dice setting?

    • @louvoodoo
      @louvoodoo 2 роки тому +1

      Dice setting is creating certain patterns on the dice along with a very consistent throw, the goal is to maintain the relationship between the two dice so that box numbers are favored and the appearance of the seven is delayed.
      It only takes one controlled throw in 43 to overcome the -1.52% house edge on the passline bet. The physics-based analysis and mechanics of why it works can be found in Get the Edge at Craps by Sharpshooter.
      The Hardways set is a pattern that creates the relationship of the 1-6 1-6 on the axis of the dice with the 2-2, 5-5, 3-3, and 4-4 along the outside faces. It is the best set to use for a beginner.

      Nope. Every roll you have a 1/6 chance of rolling a 7. Doesn't matter how many times in a row you did or didn't roll one. 🎲 🎲 don't have a memory.

      I’m not saying dice control and dice setting is true. But the logic behind dice control and setting is that the dice stay on axis. This elongates the possibility of any craps and also 1-6 combination for 7. Also no proclaim dice controllers says that can control every dice. It all boils down to the number of rolls to 7 ratio. If said ration is 1:6.4 and above because random rolls is 1:6. You technically have an edge over the long term. Math calculation on wizard of odds page. That being said, dice control is still a debatable concept where no one has definitively proven over the long run it’s possible or not.

    Dice setting is complete fantasy. Once the dice hit the diamond back wall, the roll is completely random. If your toss does not hit the back wall, the stickman will most likely give you a warning, and if you persist to 'short throw' the dice will be passed to the next player to shoot. The only reason to shoot dice like this, is to just add a more focused attention to the game though ultimately dice setting and controlled tosses have no effect.

    • @lostboarder1
      @lostboarder1 Рік тому

      Dice setting is just the beginning, you also need to know how to throw. Anyone can set dice and thinking that just setting the dice will effect the outcome is fantasy. But setting the dice and a proper throw can decrease the chances for a seven to appear. It doesn’t eliminate throwing the seven, but could improve your odds.

Or people would get backed off like they do with Black jack. There is no way you can prove this works by rolling even just 5 ort 6 of anything in a row lmao.
