- Welcome to Steffy Jewels channel: The Spot for Crafters, Jewelry Makers and the Do It Yourselfers and in this short video, I will show you how to get smooth out your resin pieces by sanding.
Sanding is essential especially if you're selling your resin pieces. This will ensure that your customers are not injured by any rough edges that arise from using resin. In my next video, I will show you how to create an eye popping, 3D effect that will help attract more attention to your pieces. This method is known as Doming.

Thank you for such a basic tutorial on how to smooth the edges on resin items! I have started and immediately stopped watching so many videos that had more fluff than content. I'm checking to see if you have other videos now!
Yes thank you I found this video very helpful I am making a Resin Business therefor I enjoyed this video thank you!
Pop sockets! I didn't even think of those!
Does this work with clear resin?
I just bought a piece off Etsy with very sharp edges 😢
Yes. I actually sometimes sand pieces I get from stores or shops to avoid cutting myself.
Do you have to top coat the pieces again after u sand? Great video!
Hi There! I'm glad you like it! You can give it a thin coat if it feels a little rough after sanding. That way your piece has a smooth texture but you can also polish it using a polishing cloth to obtain the same look.
