I really just want samsung to enable kvm in their android kernel so we could have proper VMs with less overhead. Standard Linux and win11 images running through Dex would be amazing

I have an S20 FE, makes me wonder if I open up the back of the plastic case and attach a large heatsink would be better for sustained loads or a smaller one with a tiny blower fan be better

I don't know why you people bother with all this heavy gaming nonsense on mobile devices - you're just going to end up burning your expensive phones out.
These devices are getting smaller and smaller, which means heat dissipation becomes a bigger and bigger problem. Marketing lies tell you that these devices have more and more memory and more and more powerful CPUs/GPUs but what they don't tell is that bursting a CPU into a turbo mode for a few seconds usually isn't an issue, especially if the CPU can throttle back for cooling straight afterwards - but these things are not designed for sustained heavy CPU usage without some damage inevitably happening.

I refuse to use modern Samsung devices anyway because they are very locked down, and I will not use an Android device unless it is de-Googled with a custom ROM. I have a couple of old (6 years+) tablets that run Lineage OS but that's all I own by that evil corporation.
But this is the same for any phone because are not designed for sustained heavy CPU usage that gaming needs - heat dissipation is a real problem with them and you'll just end up burning them out.
