    We just need a Zero3W based on the RP4

    • @terrydaktyllus1320
      @terrydaktyllus1320 Місяць тому

      An Orange Pi Zero 3W is a quad core SBC with up to 4GB RAM. That is more close to a Pi 4, but you'd need to put in some work yourself to installing an Orange Pi distro or Armbian on it yourself. A lot of people here don't seem to be able to do their own research and can only follow step-by-step videos.

      Why do my opinions stop anyone doing what they want to do? You can ignore them if you want. The fact that you have replied to me means that I have triggered you - you must believe that I am at least partially correct.
      If you learn how to do this stuff well by putting in time and effort, then you can engineer the right solutions for the right situation using the right hardware.
      You'll never become a good computer engineer if you rely on everyone else to feed you what you need to do every time. What stops you doing your own research and learning on your own? Isn't research one very good feature of the Internet? Why don't you use it?

    Lee, not pi related, but you should really check the Odroid M1S. Really small and modular, and maybe something you can get inside a Raspad just for kicks.

      You can add a USB hub header to it and then plug in a USB wifi dongle. Even 32GB can be a RAM limit for some applications, that's why you choose the right hardware for the right solutions.
      I am currently running a full Linux XFCE desktop on a Thinkpad T22 from around 2002 - it has a single core 1 GHz Pentium III CPU and 512MB RAM, it only uses about 150MB RAM when idle on the desktop - sure, it won't play UA-cam video any time soon but I didn't build it for that reason.
      No one single platform can be used for everything - that's not how an engineer should think. Think about what computing problem you need to solve, then use the right hardware for the job.
