I personally use a MAG-SAFE style case on my S24FE, which is absolutely the BOMB for ANY Samsung phone - they are great for external wireless charging battery packs with NO wires. Next, the FE is considered a "budget" phone so, there ARE sacrifices and some features missing but still offer most of the major ones. IMO, if you are dealing with RAW picture formats then you are taking "professional" photos for magazine covers and other levels the FE series was NEVER intended to do, hence NOT there. So social media posting and just sharing pictures/videos the FE is MORE than sufficient. You did mention the video quality is very close between these two and again the FE is more than qualified for most users. Now, getting to the differences between Exynos 2400 CPU vs. the 2400e CPU, of course you will see a slight difference but from what I've seen from other videos the Exynos 2400e is running cooler as I read somewhere it has a larger heat chamber. In any case, for day-to-day usage you will really NOT see a difference in overall performance even in gaming with the MOST intense games, which is a real PLUS! Based on this, the Exynos 2400e FAR exceeds the performance level of the S23FE with a Snapdragon 3 Gen 1 that heats up quite regularly and ALWAYS ran warm as a user for a year's time. And was really disappointed for me! Lastly, the bezels on the S24FE are smaller than the S23FE, and it has a larger display, both improvements IMO. At the 4:00 mark, you're showing the difference in brightness between the two phones. Is this the difference between 1900 nits ( S24FE ) and 2600 nits ( S24 )? That's a huge difference?
I currently have a Galaxy 22 ultra. I am switching providers. They suggested the new 24fe would be a good upgrade. Would you suggest keeping my current phone or do the upgrade. The 7 year service is enticing.
S22 ultra will have a better camera and display compared to s24FE, not to mention the lack of s pen in FE. If you are not facing any issues with the ultra phone, say the heating issue, network issue or battery drain, the change to s24FE is not justifiable. S22 ultra should be good at least for the next 1 to 2 years.
You should go with S23 (all models) or S24 Ultra (ignore the base and plus model bcoz of Exynos processors). I am having S23 256gb. Its a compact beast❤❤
How often do you use your S-Pen? As a former NOTE user, I seldom ever used mine and no longer want to PAY for features I never use. If you DO use the S-Pen alot then that answers your question. I personally just use my finger and do NOT "write" notes on-screen. Do you really need a 200Mp camera? A 50Mp camera is MORE than enough for most, unless you are posting video content or a creator. 8K video is available on ALL models but, will you ever use it? There are NOT even 8K TV's on the market.. People just BUY things because they are the "best" and yet NEVER use any of its features which to me is just a WASTE of money.
Hardware-wise, it's logical to save and cut costs. But the software is good enough to support the lack of hardware features.. Nowadays, Samsung uses too high spec cameras while still using the same processing used for the phones with not enough hardware resulting in oversharpening and overprocessed photos. The early Pixel phones tend to balance hardware and software resulting in great, vibrant, and realistic photos.
FE is a "lite" S series. you can't expect an 1:1 copy of the non-FE for cheaper, it just won't work in the perspective of the company, they have to make the FE look good but at the same time make it obvious that the non-fe is better. they won't be selling an "cheap" S24 with the name of FE with the same features, its like samsung shooting themselves in the foot if they do that...
In India... there's a big sale going on right now... the s23 FE was in my budget of 395 USD... I was wondering if i should buy it or wait for another year for s24 FE.... please help 🙏... also like my comment or else i dont get notifications for replies
I am not sure if the batteries of 23 FE sold in India are particularly bad. It doesn't last for a day of medium usage. SoT is just 5 hours and 5:40 if you use power saving right at the start. It's pathetic for any smartphone.
As the author stated, battery "tests" can vary greatly to what actual people do on their phones, which is why he said he wasn't going to do any of that. This video focuses strictly on features and function. There are a TON of other reviews out there that show the Exynos 2400 vs. 2400e. As I've watched, the 2400 seems to ride the edge of thermal throttle frequently, and I think Samsung realized this and tuned down ONE core on the 2400e and increased the heat pipe cooling, which DOES make a difference at a marginal performance hit. Based on videos/articles seen, the Exynos 2400e performs between Snapdragon 3 Gen 2 and 3 CPU's which is rather impressive. All I can tell you I'm seeing snappier performance, better battery life, and WAY less heat from my S24FE vs. the S23FE with the Snapdragon 3 Gen 1! The larger display and smaller bezels are also a PLUS as far as I'm concerned.
Phones have been rather stagnant over the last SEVERAL years so the "BIG PUSH" is AI which Samsung will start CHARGING you for in 2025! Knowing this FACT, I'm NOT using them because I have NO intensions of PAYING for them!
In the market to upgrade my Huawei P30 & was considering the s24, but was also waiting for the FE to see what it has. Dissapointed that it's so much bigger that the s24, as I prefer smaller phones, but specs are VERY similar....too similar if you ask me. I need to wait & see what the price difference will be in South Africa. Thanks for your review/point of view though 👍
the plus at the moment is cheaper, a bit smaller, better display even a bigger battery and some other features. the FE with it's current price tag has no place to be.
S24 FE (Exynos 2400e) should have better power efficiency than the normal Exynos 2400 on the S24 since its an underclocked version. Also the "e" in 2400e stands for "efficiency"
@@RyanLevai cheaper? You can pick up the FE for $237 and free Galaxy buds FE, that you keep or sell. You won't find a S24 cheaper then that promotion.
Actually did Samsung keep the S-pen support for non ultra series? I remember you could optionally buy a case and pen for the standard S series around the 21-22 series, is that correct?
Just a question. Do you think that Samsung is really going to stop making the low end S class phone like they did with the tablets? I was reading that in 2026 there will only be the S26 plus and S26 Ultra.

If you live in a country where the S24 lineup comes with Exynos then its not a big difference, barely noticeable to be honest, but if it comes with Snapdragon 8G3 then theres a bigger difference, but the 2400 doesn't have overheating problems like 2200 and before had.
@techwithbenefits I'm not into AI, just need it for your basic apps(facebook, etc). Besides, a new phone is released every year, so what's the point with improvements, so what's the use of getting it?
@@lotsalube you're right. There's no need to get the new phone every year. But by the time yo you do need it, you should buy a good one, which is a good investment to last you a few years. if you get a cheap one there is less chance of that happening.
@g1y3 Samsung is still pushing their crappie SoC and calls 2 different phones S24 in Europe and S24 in US the same names but phones are different not even in SoC performance but even color science of camera algorithm itself
I don't know how others would take this, but this man is wholly biased to the premium s24. There is really no difference in the camera output, however this man is spouting jargons and trying to convince that s24 is better just because it is more bucks. Like there should be a limit to nonsense man!
Did you watch the video? I clearly state that the main camera has better output on the FE and the other 2 cameras are better on the S24 (because they are).
If I'm understanding correctly, the FE is the phone for those who want a bigger screen than the S24 but don't have the budget for the S24+ despite the S24+'s screen being 1440p, which in my opinion is the only difference that cannot be improved by software
Any new FE will be better than the last FE so why does it matter? Your next phone should be better than your last, no? If you're coming from a non FE phone trying to go FE is where you make your mistake. This is for the cheapskates like me.
I think they'll change the form factor of Samsung phones next year. Some y'all acting like this didn't happen with non-ultra S21 and S22. Just chill, people. If the hardware is good, I don't see the problem unless y'all too concerned about flexing where honestly people don't care
Counter argument for the Exynos, both 1480 and 2400 isn't the same. 8 cores to 10 cores is just a large jump. Visually, it's suppose to be the same with the S24 designs (Weirdly enough, Samsung is is using the A5X design language rather than the S2X plus if we compare it with the S23 FE and A54) S25 series supposedly have a different design (Not the camera arrangement, it's like a trademark at this point which is kinda boring).
@vivekvishwanathan1989 The SD8G2 is good, but that would be worse. Selling the phone for $700 with the same SOC as the S23 base, which sells for $350 - $400 dollars now, is much, much worse. Exynos 2400 isn't as optimized but is more powerful than SD8G2. But regress, I used the base S23, and it's doing alright. Best phone I had, but does heat up sometimes due to the latest update.
They probably would change the form factor on S25 models. People be acting like this didn't happen on S21 and S22 non-ultras before. Y'all need to chill
Yo, S24 has some heating and battery drain issues, but it's got like 20 to 25% more performance. But guess what? That performance drops after a while and ends up being lower than the S23. So, if you're looking for a budget-friendly phone with almost the same camera performance, the S23 is the way to go, my friend! 👍👍
There is just too much difference between the s24 and the a55, a55 is comparable to the regular s21 which is an extremely unreliable and problematic 3 year old flagship phone (s21 still beats the a55 slightly)
So overall the S24+ is the best option? The ultra is expensive but the powerhouse. The S24+ has the improvements and the price now is similar to the FE The S24 is a smaller phone but has less of the drawbacks than the FE, although the battery life will be a bit better on the FE version.

People just BUY things because they are the "best" and yet NEVER use any of its features which to me is just a WASTE of money.
what about speakers and haptic feedback?
Same old design from their A series to S everything looks same (except ultra).
So having a design language that users clearly like is bad I swear yall hate everything
yeah they're low-key annoying asl
Better for budget sales. Cry about it.
Just cry i swear you all never have enough
it's not a bad thing
Kinda disappointing that the camera still isn't as good as the non fe
Nah bro , My sister is having s23fe and the camera is pretty good. But overall performance is not good
Hardware-wise, it's logical to save and cut costs.
It's the same camera on the S24 and S24+ except the Zoom
I am definitely a power user on my phone, but I just can't afford an s24+. I picked up an S24 FE for basically free, though, and i abaolutely love it.
Enjoy your FE! It's a solid phone for sure!
In India... there's a big sale going on right now... the s23 FE was in my budget of 395 USD...
@@nilesh4660 good choice.
I think wait for the s24 fe if your phone still functionally well, because it seems s24 fe is a decent one after s20 fe.
Why is chin a bit uneven from the top forhead on the s24fe yet the xiaomi 14t pro has it equal
title says exynos batlle... and there is not even one gaming battle
bruh! test wuthering waves!
Does both of this work with esim? Or does the fe do not support it?
same efing processor dialed down in software. hardware reached it's limits a long time ago
Phones have been rather stagnant over the last SEVERAL years so the "BIG PUSH" is AI which Samsung will start CHARGING you for in 2025! Knowing this FACT, I'm NOT using them because I have NO intensions of PAYING for them!
i guess you have to compare s24 FE with the s24 plus because of the same size too
In the market to upgrade my Huawei P30 & was considering the s24, but was also waiting for the FE to see what it has. Dissapointed that it's so much bigger that the s24, as I prefer smaller phones, but specs are VERY similar....too similar if you ask me. I need to wait & see what the price difference will be in South Africa. Thanks for your review/point of view though 👍
Just go for the base s23 256gb, its almost perfect for the price🎉
I bought the S24 because I hate big phones, not because it's better
the plus at the moment is cheaper, a bit smaller, better display even a bigger battery and some other features. the FE with it's current price tag has no place to be.
S24 FE (Exynos 2400e) should have better power efficiency than the normal Exynos 2400 on the S24 since its an underclocked version. Also the "e" in 2400e stands for "efficiency"
Waiting for a price drop to upgrade from Samsung A53 5G to this S24 FE 😂
The regular s24 is cheaper than the fe

@@max_mwangi I think his problem is the price he paid for he could’ve gotten a bit less and could went for s24 fe
Actually did Samsung keep the S-pen support for non ultra series? I remember you could optionally buy a case and pen for the standard S series around the 21-22 series, is that correct?
follow up if so does this have it haha

Just a question. Do you think that Samsung is really going to stop making the low end S class phone like they did with the tablets? I was reading that in 2026 there will only be the S26 plus and S26 Ultra.
i still prefer S24 size. It fits perfectly on my hand and i can operate the phone just with my thump in 1 hand
would you say if i already have s23FE with Snapdragon chip should i upgrade? thoughts?
Absolutely not. Better wait for s25 series.
Even though the cpu performance gap is large i think you should wait until october

@EaglesRback33 go the Plus. All day lol especially if the pricing is near on the same
If you live in a country where the S24 lineup comes with Exynos then its not a big difference, barely noticeable to be honest, but if it comes with Snapdragon 8G3 then theres a bigger difference, but the 2400 doesn't have overheating problems like 2200 and before had.
Thanks for the review
Just give me a budget phone. I'm no expert, but they do the same job as a flagship does.
Depends on what the job is
@techwithbenefits I'm not into AI, just need it for your basic apps(facebook, etc).
Does s24 fe show lock screen wallpaper in AOD? Like s24
Yes it does. You can also set videos and moving wallpapers too

From s20 plus 5G I think I no need upgrade now till s25plus
I wanna see the S24 Ultra Exynos and S24 Ultra Snapdragon 8+ Gen 3
The S24 Ultra doesn't have an exynos variant

This year FE felt like water down version of S24U
Today just received my S23 😊

Counter argument for the Exynos, both 1480 and 2400 isn't the same. 8 cores to 10 cores is just a large jump.
Visually, it's suppose to be the same with the S24 designs (Weirdly enough, Samsung is is using the A5X design language rather than the S2X plus if we compare it with the S23 FE and A54)
S25 series supposedly have a different design (Not the camera arrangement, it's like a trademark at this point which is kinda boring).

@Fedorabut they could have given sd 8 gen 2 atleast😊
@vivekvishwanathan1989 The SD8G2 is good, but that would be worse. Selling the phone for $700 with the same SOC as the S23 base, which sells for $350 - $400 dollars now, is much, much worse.
Exynos 2400 isn't as optimized but is more powerful than SD8G2. But regress, I used the base S23, and it's doing alright. Best phone I had, but does heat up sometimes due to the latest update.

Samsung 24 fe is better
Absolutely pointless model that just clutters the lineup. FE line should be discontinued. Either go flagship or settle with A series.
FE comes instead A7 series, entry level for S series
There is just too much difference between the s24 and the a55, a55 is comparable to the regular s21 which is an extremely unreliable and problematic 3 year old flagship phone (s21 still beats the a55 slightly)
The video comparison is bullocks you just brighten the s24 and lowered the FE. You're not fooling anyone but yourself.

The camera is awfull on both
So overall the S24+ is the best option?
The ultra is expensive but the powerhouse.
