- Fellow Patriots & Freedom lovers, I was peacefully exercising my 1st Amendment rights at the Harford County Government Office in Belair, Maryland. While I was taking some photographs outside the building I was approached by a Harford County Deputy who demanded my ID yet for exercising my rights and threatens to remove me from the property. When I asked for his name decided to cover his name tag with his arm. He then called backup who seemed to know I had the right to record in public. I’ve had run ins with this Office before they even said on the radio that I post videos to UA-cam. I wonder how this situation would have ended if I they didn’t know who I was…Please be sure to hit the like button, it truly helps spread this around for more Patriots to see it and I appreciate

I have asked myself this question anytime I see police encounter when all they care is to use police authority. You can imagine those who were thrown into jail for police to cover themselves up, writing false reports and abusing citizens.

An old timer with no stripes. Never was competent enough to earn promotion. Joined by other two unskilled deputies. All of whom would be gassed and clutching their chests after running 15 metres. That's why they stick these fellas to babysit doors. The ash and trash of the force. Can't be sacked unless they really screw up. The last cop was much better, though he felt obliged to defend the calling of the cavalry for non-crime.

I think he peddles back to that reason because they do not have enough capable willing people to do the job of police. I think it isn't unreasonable that they wanted to make sure of the law with people who they report to and not a random citizen.
Not saying they shouldn't know it in the first place. But there would be even less people to keep the peace or keep the average stupid american under wraps and safe feeling with the "good guys" to calm things down. Other citizens cause bad policing and vice versa. Its a vicious cycle.

I was happy to hear one of you guys finally ask the question What's the difference between government property and public property? You say it's public property and they come back with "It's government property" as if that refutes what you said. In fact, it confirms what you said. That first deputy may have been educated but what do you want to bet that next time he encounters someone he doesn't like, he will demand THAT person's ID?

Why is it so hard for these egomaniacs to simply identify themselves? Any other profession you can ask the employee their name and 9 times out of 10 they will happily give it. For some reason, when you ask a PUBLIC SERVANT their name, it's a huge issue and blow to their inflated egos. It's just unbelievable.

He wasn’t educated. He’s been in long enough to have the attitude of “no one can teach me anything about my job”. He’s been comfortable operating like that for his entire career, he will _never_ be taught the new way because it wont stick. He just needs to be strongly advised to retire before he costs the county a 7 figure sum.

These old law enforcement guys seem like they loved the old days where they would just arrest and beat you up for challenging their ego's.
Older cops ego’s bruise very easily , they have had many years where no one questioned their authority and they’re used to barking orders at people demanding their ID whenever they feel like it , trampling peoples rights because in their minds THEY ARE the law and they can do whatever they want . The bigger problem is if these guys have managed to progress up the ranks they then pass the attitude on to younger officers .
