Gm Gil. It doesn't feel like the Isles talent pool feel is particularly deep. Until Lou is gone, its really hard to assess how that pool could improve big club measurably.
Nelson and Eiserman were fine against Germany. Nelson has some nice vision on the ice and made some nice passes. We'll see how they look against Canada and the like.
George is definitely better in his own zone than Dobson. That's a low bar, but George has been steady and reliable. Dobson is a tough call. Defensemen who score 70 points don't grow on trees, but his defense is truly bad and his hockey sense is lacking. Thanks for the comment, Danfromoverthere. LGI

He plays smart 🏒, and doesn't do the job to get it done, HE DOES THE JOB TO GET IT DONE RIGHT. Maxim Tsyplakov is also looking great, too. He's adjusted to the NHL very well. Bridgeport is no better than the parent club. Alex Jeffries is showing a little bit of promise. Matt Maggio has been a bit of a disappointment. Cole Eisernman is doing just fine at Boston University. Defensively, he needs to be more of a fore checker and a back checker. Also, he needs to be above throwing his weight around. Fans paying hundreds of dollars for UBS game tickets should ask themselves why are they paying to get grief and aggravation? This NY Islanders organization has been “rebuilding” since 1985. There are no more excuses. Be a true competitive tough, respected, professional NHL organization or pack it in and stop giving fans false hope.

Its just eisereman, eisermann, and eisermann. Beyond sad isles prospect/system is this bad sabotaged by first round flops (26), lack of firsts, just a total ignorance of draft/development by louzer gm/isles scouting dept. in general. b'port offers no hope. just ahl'ers not nhl caliber. 36 has looked decent yet wouldn't be on isles without d injuries. 7 still on a learning curve project at best. This is why the whole world outside of louzer gm knows isles need to SERIOUSLY punt this season away, SELL SELL SELL at tdl, and get as many prospects/picks in place for the next gm to try and re-build this aged mess with no hope for future. And pray louzer doesn't trade that first-again-to chase failed bid for eighth. Sabre debacle proved this team is not playoff caliber and should be treated as such going forward. A few high lottery picks wouldn't hurt isles cause. Of course lottery is no guarantee when you have to have lottery 'luck', It worked for nj re-build. Didn't work for wings re-build.
Steven, everyone not named LL sees the lack of prospects across the organization and what a disaster Bridgeport has been in the last few seasons. Selling at the trade deadline is overdue, but Lou has already said he won't retool or rebuild. That means it's up to ownership to step in and bring in a new GM. Thanks for the comment and LGI.

I think the Bridgeport islanders coaching staff and management should be gone just as well as the islanders after the season.
