Difference is pens are trying to win because of a guy named sid. Isles just don't give a fk anymore. No one to rally around as 29 already wants out. Latest rumours-one hack expert thinks 29 could be dealt back home to mild looking for more depth up front. Guerin and louzer know each other. Mild love those home state guys (remember vanek) and have some assets. 29 could fetch a nice haul. Also stars could have 29 interest too. Louzer needs to maximize 29 value by tdl as 2 c who can play wing and is too valuable an asset for contenders as tdl nears to waste. The central av's, mild, jets, stars will be a dogfight in playoffs. The question is-does louzer do that and know when to make 29 deal? Ship 21 out as well tdl. And pens can put isles 8 pts. behind them in east with a no loser pt. sweep. And as bad as things are wings finally fired uncle fester coach and promptly went out and got handled by laffs 5-2 in a game that wasn't close as wings scored two late g's. First game for new coach mclellan as wings remain a mess and should keep isles company at bottom of east.
Lou needs to maximize 29 and the value he gets in return for him. Knowing Lou, he'll try to extend both Palms and Nelson but hopefully that's not what we see happening. Thanks for the comment, Steven. LGI
Just curious, do the NY Islanders have a regular radio station for games to listen to? I thought maybe NY Islanders had a steady AM radio station that can reach all 5 NYC bouroughs as well as Long Island.
They are available on line and on the NHL app. Not sure if the actual radio signal reaches all of Long Island, let alone all five boroughs. Thanks for the comment, Robert, always great to hear from you. LGI
@ Thank you Gil Yeah I think The NY Islanders would have better exposure, having a known AM or FM radio station such as 660, 710, 970 or 1050AM to listen to games I do try to sometimes pick up the games on the NHL app as well as Spectrum (local cable provider)
Must win one of these games. No OT win. Think they should move the D Po and Pu if we can bring up Hutton and get a mobile defenseman from a Nelson trade. Bad D wastes the good goaltender they have. Players are too good to allow easy chances. They will bury them. Pens Rykell is good. Remember when Ranger thugs took him out of playoffs a few years ago. Souds like a tough chore for Isles. I know Roy addressed the crowd who watched practice yesterday saying how hard they are working during the break and they better come out crazy tonight. Enjoyed both if you talking this home and home.
They did well Saturday, Alex. Hope they can play well again on Sunday. I'd love to see Hutton back up but again, under Lou, I'll believe any such moves when I see them. Thanks for the comment and LGI.
Good morning team! Hunter, welcome Sir. I certainly do enjoy the crossover episodes. I love that you guys spoke about Jarry. I have said many times, Jarry is one of my favorite Islanders. I started saying that a few years ago, when the Islanders eliminated the Pens in four games of their playoff series. I have to say, the Pens don't scare me. Even though they are playing hot for the last 10 games, I'm pretty confident we can give them some problems. We'll see what my feelings turn to after this weekend, but until then, the Pens are cream puffs in my eyes. Sorry Hunter. Gentlemen, thank you again for the crossover and for what you do day in and day out. So looking forward to these games. I should have made plans to be with the grandson this weekend. Everyone, have a great weekend! See you all next time. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!
Well, Tony, the Isles won on Saturday. Hope they can play well in Pittsburgh on Sunday. These are two evenly matched teams with neither being truly good enough to be considered serious Cup contenders. Thanks for the comment and LGI.
Good, 🌄, Gil, how are you? Good 🌄, Hunter Hodies, welcome to Locked On Islanders, how are you. These 2 teams go back to the Patrick Division, even further back ever since 1975. The 🐧have been looking better. Anyone who plays with Sidney Crosby is going to be great. Their PP and the PK is better. So far, it's been an ugly year for the Islanders. As I said it before, and I'll say it again, THEY NEED TO GET YOUTH, SPEED, AND MORE MUSCLE. They need help everywhere. It goes further back than Barry Trotz AND ISLANDERS FANS KNOW IT. Lou Lamoriello doesn't believe in retooling, and that's why he's on borrowed time. The Islanders need to keep Sidney Crosby in ✔️, and they need to get ****** off and stay that way, too. They also need to stay out of the joint. If Varly's ready to come back, fine. I hope Patrick Roy gives Sorokin the day off. Don't let Crosby expose his venom against them like he always does. Hear you later, Gil, I'll go nostalgia on Monday. Now, LET'S GO ISLANDERS.
Hunter is a good guy and he knows his stuff. I hope the Isles play well in Pittsburgh today after a solid win Saturday night. Fingers crossed they can put two good performances together back to back. Thanks for the comment, Cindy. LGI.
What do u expect him to do with a bunch of basicly 40 year olds??? lol and Roy can't play defense for bums like Mayfield...pelech had had to Many seriois injurys and pulloch is following his lead.
@@empirestateconstructionllc2336 Is Sorokin a 40-year old? Why is he playing him for 11 consecutive games after back surgery. Barzal, Horvat, Dobson, Duclair are all in theri 20s. They've played sloppy hockey, it's not a matter of a lack of talent, it's discipline. That's coaching.
@MrAschiff true I wanted them to rest sorokin I think Hogberg will play good... the players sometimes don't show up thats on them especially vs Buffalo. Roy hasn't coached in a long time so we have go give him some slack, especially when half the team was hurt.... they won yesterday vs a hot penguins team let's win today !!! I always believed Roy was brought here to be g.m. write it down.... but very good points Aschiff ... happy new years to you and all !!
Only holiday bonus this season. Cheers Gil
Thanks, Michael, cheers to you as well. Thanks for the comment and LGI
Great show guys. Hope the Islanders can grab 2 points this weekend. LGI
Won the first game, hoping for another strong performance today. Thanks for the comment, Darrell. LGI

Sell and rebuild with yourh.yourh who can score and score 40 plus goals, and get rid of Lou pleeeaaase!
