This is honestly quite emotional to watch for me… thanks to everybody involved on the channel and all the amazing viewers for such an incredible experience over these years!
Been watching you guys in the UK, then in Spain where I now live, for many years. Love those old videos!
Thanks for the good times, my man. Love this channel.
There's NO way 2010 was 13 years ago... feels like yesterday! I've been here every step of the way and I'll continue to support you guys. Thanks a lot for all the laughs and education throughout the years
I remember you demoing an Orange in your bedroom xD hahaha.. you ever gonna come up with some new licks btw ? :,p lol
Those years of establishing Anderton's youtube channel were a wonderful adventure for everyone, at least for the viewers. To actually see a new form of industry and entertainment develop under your very eyes with some guys just figuring it out on the go.
I've watched this about 10 times (& of course was in the videos!) but I'm still crying with laughter at all these clips. I can't believe we got away with all this stuff... thanks so much to everyone thats grown up with us (or not grown up as the case appears to be!!) - its been an honour & pleasure to do this. I defo feel a part II & part III coming as we find more silly old stuff. Cheers, Lee
I'll always remember the whole "arrow in the knee" video and just absolutely roll on the floor when it changed to "a sparrow in the knee"
I've been watching your videos for a long time, and have had tons of laughs, thanks to you and Rob. My favorite more recent funny vid is the "What's in the box!" one with Pete. I laughed until I cried.
Love it! Need to do the Reverend Buckshot guitar vid. I’ve watched and laughed at it dozens of times 😂
The Miku pedal is a blast
I've been watching since '09. I've grown up with you guys. It's been a wild ride. You've been there through all the thick and thin. So much has happened in 14 years but once remaining constant has been you guys and the laughs we've shared. Thank you Andertons crew, thank you.
They finally gave the Captain Lick the honor it deserves by making it the intro music.
couldnt agree move, whenever i stumble across the sound while playing it always reminds me!
I'd forgotten how fun UA-cam videos used to be.Everything is so serious these days!
I’ve been on this journey with you both from the start and it’s been an absolute blast. You changed, and let’s face it invented, the new way of presenting musical content from a distribution pov. It’s legendary! You did for music on UA-cam what TopGear did for the car industry on BBC. Thank you both and all of the team.
This is the utterly retarded shit that I live for!
Perfect comparison!
I wouldn't mind watching the uncut version of this, sorry
In the world of over-produced, hyper slick videos with false personalities - I think what most people enjoyed was these old videos’ authenticity and silliness. No egos or pretentiousness. Kind of reminds me of silly home films you made with your mates on camcorders. Big love, miss these days x
Choose your mate a rig that they'll hate was one of my favourites. Rob picking Lee a djent rig was comedy gold
I love the old Andertons videos 😂😂😂
Pete and Mick trying to get through ANY acoustic paradiso without wetting themselves laughing 😂😍
You guys should've really made more silly music like this. So much potential for hilarity. Lee's Growl in the V video is pure gold!
I've started watching this stuff since I was 15, now I'm 22. You guys were and are a constant in my life and Chappers & The Captain feels like home. :) Love you guys and incredibly happy Chappers and the Captain are back in business.
Rob looks like a math teacher, with long hair he looks like an art teacher. However, this is gold. We need a return to the classics, a reissue.
Sadly I couldn’t teach either ha ha!!
Love the python nods. "Youre just banging coconuts together". So British. Love the Miku, it always makes me cry.
This takes me back! Absolute gold.
There is one video where Pete plays a loop and suddenly there is a shot of all of you dancing in the room. I lovvvved that one, more so because of the looks that I got from my girlfriend at the time. She wanted to watch GoT or something and I held her off to watch the Andertons video. She left... eventually
Yes that was a good one, lol
The consistency of excellent content from this channel is as good as it gets on UA-cam. Thank you for every minute!
These videos are some of the best memories I have. So many epic ideas! The EVH loudness with a decibel meter and dust coming down from the ceiling! Drinking Jack Daniels with the Slash Marshall amp, all the Christmas shenanigans, the Kaos Pad built into the body of that guitar, so many more. I will go to the video library, switch the time from oldest to newest and there's my late Friday night entertainment.
The first one that comes to mind is the first time you put the googly eyes goggles on rob.
I live daily with 7/10 pain level. But that day when rob had them on, he's looking away deciding things, (can't even remember what blindfold challenge it was),and then looking back at the camera, dead serious, giving his answers, eyes spinning and bouncing around. My side was hurting so bad from laughing, I think my pain level jumped up a notch to 8. It was worth it. Thanks for helping get through some of them days.
This is pure gold lol
More please. I remember watching the miku video and dying. 😂
Yeah man, the old videos were so much fun. I've watched this trough twice and I remember every video. Laughed my ass off 🤘
I can almost remember clearly where I was and what I was doing when those videos were just posted. Can' believe those were more than 10 years ago now. Thank you so much and I owe a great amount of pleasure for the last decade to you two. Please don't grow out of fooling around. Cheers from South Korea.
THIS IS JUST WHAT I WANTED!! THANK YOU!!! ❤ Some of my favourite moments are of the Miku pedal or when you made rigs for each other and Lee was trying to make the 9 string work
Edit: I drunk bought a Miku pedal from you guys because of that video hahaha
Rabea's Jamaican accent had me in tears- I was laughing so hard!
Please bring back the puppets!!
the law of diminishing returns video definitely deserves a shoutout
I’ve been watching you guys for about 10 years. Got my first Strat (which I still have) from your shop in 2011. Keep going guys!
As a newer subscriber, I went and watched the back catalog of the Andertons videos during covid, so all of these are still relatively fresh in my mind, and they're all an absolute joy. Thank you guys, and long may it continue!
Thank you so much for the long years of laughter !
Pete's Vox Mini Go masterpiece should absolutely be included in part 2 !
I remember being 16 and obsessed with GNR while learning to play guitar. I searched “how to sound like slash” on UA-cam and watched that video countless times. I mowed lawns for an entire summer so I could buy an epiphone les paul and my dad bought me the marshall haze as a gift when I joined my first band. I still own both of them to this day. It seems silly but that video played a huge role in my guitar playing journey. Thank you guys a ton!
Should totally start a new side channel and create content like this again, "Anderton's Unplugged" 🙏
Lads, thanks for this. I am currently really sick with Covid, and I have watched this three times in a day....I actually belly laugh constantly....utter comedy gold.
Ahh the Nostalgia, I've been watching Andertons and Chappers videos today, first time in around 5+years, I miss this so much, thank you for all the content, learning and advice over the years!
My all time fav C&C videos is the April fool video where you introduced the slashcaster and the carlossocaster. That one was absolutely hilarious. Anyway, I need to wipe away all the tears from laughing :D
I remember the blackstar pedal review with the fan and talc being hilarious and the fruit pedal one was amazing too, what a little trip down memory lane this has been
And i was there, 13 years!! 😂😂😂
So many laughs ! That’s what set you guys apart from other UA-camrs back in the day. Everything was tongue in cheek. Your personalities shone through and hooked us all along for the ride. Thanks guys
Golden times, boys. Thanks for all the fun.
A big missed video is the Ibanez Kaoss pad guitar. The moment Rob finds the “immediate feedback button” (microphone) is legendary.
While none of these videos have gotten me to be an Anderton's customer (I'm in the USA), it has made me a life long fan AND I know for sure that I will eventually make a pilgrimage to the UK for two things: to do tourist crap across the country AND to take a guitar home from Andertons. Love you guys, thanks for the hilarious and down to earth videos!
Two grown men giggling about themself being silly in videos, nothing better! 😂
Never apologize. Thanks for the laughs!
14:45 I am native and I absolutely loved this when I saw it. No disrespect taken here ❤❤❤
I didn't buy a guitar because of the old videos, but I did get a Korg Miku after seeing what is probably my favourite Captain/Chappers video!
Free half hour, cuppa tea and bosh new Chappers and The Captain video. Awesome
love it! I've had the pleasure of enjoying your videos for over 10 years now, and it's great to see you guys react to these old recordings!
Just amazing!! I've been here since 2012 and it's been fantastic!
i cant say i get even half of the EU humor, but ive been watching for almost a decade and ive always been entertained
This is so nostalgic. I love it, so many memories.
THANK YOU LADS. Much love and cheers for all the great company and giggles over the years.
I remember these videos fondly too. Cheers guys.
There are SOOOOO many more! thank you for the laughs over the years and cheers to many more!
I bought my first Epiphone LP from Andertons back in 2009, I've been watching the videos ever since!!
One day I'll be back to buy another guitar from you
My favorite video is still the Blackstar pedal one, with the powder fan scene. That was just comedy gold
Classic!
I loved this era of Andertons... also Lee's death metal vocal is legitimately good.
Some of my faves. So nice to see the reminiscing
This was fantastic . Wasn't following back 13 years ago but love rime travelling back with you guys
This was amazing. I never even seen this era of Anderton‘s videos. As wacky as they are, you guys clearly had a lot of fun, which probably is what came through.
Actual tears from laughing along. Amazing!
Awesomeness. You both probably have no idea the roles you play in viewers lives, so I'll tell you about my experience of discovering these videos. I had just moved across the US to live in Los Angeles where I knew absolutely no one. I didn't have money to go home for Xmas, so the holiday was lonely and miserable. I happened to land on your Xmas vid that year and then spent the rest of the holiday catching up on your vids and feeling like I was hanging out with friends. A lot has happened since then, but I still think of that holiday from time to time when watching both of your channels. Seeing you together again is like attending a reunion without the crappy parts. Thanks for all those years of fun and here's to many more. Cheers!
Seeing all those old videos again reminds me of being at uni when they all started coming out. I would sit and watch religiously. They inspired so many gear purchases throughout the years.
Never stop the shred and silliness boys.
I proper belly laughed at Robs Volvo. No idea why. Serious nostalgia
Three Wise Men - "make way for the wise man, looking for the baby jesus". 😂 Best one!
This is amazing! I'm in tears... How the fuck did you guys ever get anywhere!? 🤣🤣
That was awesome! I've been watching you guys for so long!
This means so much to me, thanks for the great memories guys!
Literally yesterday morning I went back to that first video and had a look through of the evolution. The timing was perfect.
I’ve enjoyed watching you guys for 12 years! Cheers!
Started playing 13 years ago, same time i started watching Andertons videos, i have some great memories sitting and relaxing with a cuppa to many videos. I have watched and learnt about gear and guitars over the years. You guys started the whole youtube guitar scene with presenting gear, without a doubt. Im lucky enough to have also been to the store a handful of times within those years. Best of luck going forward
Thanx for the ride, and keep 'em coming
Ive had a blast watching your videos. Keep rocking good people ✌️✌️😀
Night hawk was one of the first videos of yours I ever watched, set the bar for what to expect 😂
Omg!! This stuff is hilarious but amazing, I didn’t go too far back, but I remember the skits and stuff. It was amazing. 😂 best way to promote, it was just fun and just music.
Oh my God.
I have sat here and watched u guys and never have I been so entertained.
Laughed so hard I'm crying.
Thanks guys.😂
If it weren't for Andertons and Rob 13 years ago, I probably wouldn't have stayed with guitar. Thank you for the years of entertainment and love to your community!
Absolutely hilarious. Completely loved the journey & look forward to the next 10 yrs…& yes the videos did persuade me to buy guitars, amps & just about every other accessory at Andertons. Us viewers/customers feel very much part of the Andertons family too. Well done chaps.
So nice to see thoses videos !! I laughed like if I was with you years ago !! Thanks for this good time !!
I can't believe it's been 13 years; sadly time flies by. Please bring back the same old funny and spirited videos they help us throughout this dystopian time we live in
My goodness, you guys did any and everything to get this channel established! 😂
Love seeing this I remember the years of watching all these videos
Bea's face when he looks to camera opening the can 🤣😂
Thanks guys! Just what I needed after what seemed like a very loong week at work! 🙏🙏🙏😂😂😂
This is brilliant! Never seen those videos before but for you it had to be a great memory lane and for me - never-ending laughter!! Do the same thing in another 10-15 years - could you imagine that?
im impressed by the captains voice. We need singing!!!
I had to keep stopping the video to catch my breath from laughing. I can remember watching some of them . But back then I just sat their calmly not laughing and wondered, WTF!!! LOL
I go back and watch old andertons videos just for fun, they're so fuckin hilarious
I remember so many of these and there were a few that I was "HOW THE HELL DID I MISS THAT ONE?"
You guys are real my idols, been watching since 2014 since I was 8th grade, now I'm 23 y.o and still my favorite guitar channel. Greetings from Indonesia
It was your early videos that really got me into watching UA-cam at all. My son's watched all the time but I didn't really find anything interesting until I found Andertons, love this trip down memory lane!
I was expecting some funny stuff but I NEVER expected this level of hilarity. You guys were INSANE and I love it so much wish I could have been in that store back then.
Live in your eyes!
YOU THREW A GUITAR OUT A WINDOW TO TEST A GIG BAG!!! This is the funny thing I’ve ever seen.
Great memories. Also I notice at 1:14 at the front left with the Paiste Tee on is the great Bob Dalton!
Ah the good ol days! Thanks for the years of laughs and tones!
All these old videos are about to get so many more views...
Please do a part 2, 3, 4 etc this is comedy gold. Been a customer and watcher for many years, the other guys are great but captain and chappers is another level.
This was fun 😂😂😂
Nice stroll down memory lane
Thank you for the years of entertainment! :)
BRING BACK THAT EARLY ANDERTONS ENERGY
I need retrospective danger money for that flaming boss micro LOL!!!
