Death Stranding is an action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their split from Konami in 2015. It was released by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 in November 2019 and by 505 Games for Windows in July 2020. An updated version for PlayStation 5, Death Stranding Director's Cut, was announced in June 2021 and will be released on September 24, 2021.[1]
The game is set in the United States following a cataclysmic event which caused destructive creatures to begin roaming the Earth. Players control Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to isolated colonies and reconnecting them via a wireless communications network. Alongside Reedus, the game features actors Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins, and Lindsay Wagner, in addition to the likenesses of film directors Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn as supporting characters.
Death Stranding is an action game set in an open world, and includes asynchronous online functions. Kojima refers to Death Stranding as the first "strand game", an original genre characterized by the game's incorporation of social elements. Kojima compared this genre to how his earlier game Metal Gear-now considered a stealth game-was called an action game during its release because the stealth genre had not been established

While this game is hard to get into for people that require action and a story that takes you by storm, this is one of few games i’d call a masterpiece, both gameplay-wise and storywise. But yes, it takes about 20hrs before you start to get entangled with the story and before you’re even handed a weapon… but get past that and you’ll probably love it too✌️

Na this game is far more interesting then 90% if the games I’ve played I’m a huge fan of PlayStation games cause they make deep story-base games sorry but I find games like cod and mortal kombat made for simple minded gamers with short attention spans

It’s a very beautiful game try putting game brightness all the way down to 0 it will give you deepest blacks and HDR luminosity to 0 It will take care of the haze in the background and make it more clear
I played on PS4 & honestly I liked the game, it can become slightly tedious but visually it’s beautiful.
those who say that this game is boring and had to be more violent, I know that they have not understood anything about the plot from start to finish.
I am very sorry for this as it is one of the most original games I have ever played.

This is a great game. It doesn’t seem like it gets enough attention. One of the best I’ve ever played. I’m on the Higgs right now.

@@didickcheeseburger uh tbh there wasnt a lot to do when i finished the game (1st week), but the way its systems work is really mind blowing, i remember it was a nonstop playing until its end.
@@didickcheeseburger there is a LOT of things to do in order to progress story and your levels/gears. Walk, or drive, or fight (with humans, ghosts and enormous monsters) are the ways you do all of that things.

For some reason I’m enjoying DS on the PS5 more than my first play through. The new knick knacks they added to make deliveries a bit challenging are fun as hell and I’ve put in about 50 hours and I just barely got to Heartman. Zip lines help a ton around mountains.
Did you have any trouble uploading your ps4 saved data ?
Also don't underestimate the power of fast-peeing. It took ages on PS4.
Why upload this if you kept going into the menus to change settings

I’m not sure why, but I really like this game, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I like the world, the gameplay, the story. And these creatures in the game were terrifying.

Technically very impressive. Its beautiful and smooth. Its exactly what console owner want, an optimised kinda-like top computer to run smoothly all games in a 1080-1440 60fps at a decent price.
Dont need to have 234fps in 2160 (for the price of a second hand car) , i have glasses and tired eyes :)

As somebody who deliberately skipped the PS4 era I’m bummed you skipped through the opening cinematic.
I finished the game last year and deleted it after but I am willing to reinstall the game, just to renjoy running in the field with cargos.
I have a ps5 but am playing the ps4 version, really can’t even tell the difference. Games amazing

The fact that this game is so boringly fun, it’s pretty much walking and driving, but then there’s some sort of path you can’t reach with a vehicle then on your way back you see another and you just wasted 10 minutes
Anyone who's been to a casino knows that Konami makes slot machines, and this game is quite obviously nothing more than conditioning people to get hooked on slots. You can't let go of the controller or Sam wipes out, excessive button-pushing, excessive cutscenes, etc. It's not even a walking simulator, it's a slot machine simulator.
Death Stranding 2 should have birds and land animals.

I'm absolutely fuming with this , I have my ps4 save files but to play the ps5 version you have to play the ps4 version first ,go to a terminal when you have no orders or active missions and upload saves ps4 data from there .
It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever known in all my life gaming, I just wanna play ps5 version but can't because I always have an order or mission open so the option is blanked out to upload saved data to be able to play where I left off on ps5.

A lot better than just being strong if your left body is heavy the left trigger becomes hard to press but the right one is slightly hard I thought my controller broke but its actually the game that uses the controller like that

The marketing made it look like an action game, but its literally 90% just delivering packages and once in a while something attacks you. Actual walking sim.

The way he runs it's totally unrealistic.

What do you do in this game?
There is a complex plot that envolves you to reconnect the cities and people on this post-apocaliptic world. The way you have to do that, is by making deliveries, fighting ghosts, terrorists and monsters and planning your route to the montains, canions, deserts and rivers of the sandbox map.

The gameplay is about delivering stuff, but to do that the player have to build infrastructure or cross the rough terrain, and fight against bandits, and terrorists, and ghosts that cause nuclear explosions if they touch a living being, and lovecraftian tar monsters, and skeleton soldiers revived from the world war, and-
@@kanika_d Its 99% delivering packages. The other stuff you mentioned like the monsters, you barely ever see that.
