- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5) 4K 60FPS HDR (Gameplay Trailer). Death Stranding 2: On The Beach[1] is an upcoming action game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to Death Stranding (2019) and the second game from Kojima Productions and director Hideo Kojima as an independent entity, as well as the studio's second collaboration with SIE. The title will feature the previous game's central characters Sam Porter Bridges, Fragile and Higgs, reprised by actors Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker, respectively. They are joined by additional characters portrayed by Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna. The game features the likenesses of Mad Max co-creator George Miller and Turkish film director Fatih Akin. Kojima began writing a sequel to the game some time prior to 2020, but reworked his narrative from scratch to reflect the impact of COVID-19 on the worldwide population. By the time the story was completed, hints of Death Stranding launching a new franchise for Kojima Productions had been insinuated, before a sequel was confirmed as in development in May 2022 by Reedus himself. The game was officially announced in December 2022 alongside the confirmation of the new cast members' respective involvements. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to release for PlayStation 5.

@@GuitarsAndSynthsThe first game really wasn’t lame at all in my opinion. It’s different than most people are used to is all. It’s more story driven than being an action shooter which from my understanding is what most people expected out of it.

It's not just a game anymore. It's an other world, with its own rules, mythology, its own past and future. You feel its existence and its complexity. That's what I respect Kojima's worlds for. His worlds truly live. You can love em, you can hate em, but you can't completely ignore their existence.
Kojima is just a Da Vinci who became a game designer in a world where classic creations and religion got forgotten.

The first game was far from a masterpiece! Walking, walking, walking everywhere is the worst engaging thing you can do in the game! I never beat the game because it kept putting me to sleep. Kojima admitted that, so now he's making the games more engaging.

@jchhalo1232 You forgot the most intelligent aspect of video gaming is the IMMERSION. Immersion breaks you out of the real world to put you into the Delta and theta state of the dream. However, walking everywhere isn't complex! In fact, it does the opposite of immersion. Kojima should have invented a creative and innovative way to TRAVEL. For example, I would've used the Chiral Matter from the creatures as fuel to warp, or travel between dimensions! Now, that would've been crazy, psychedelic, and an insane innovative complexity that would've taken the game to ginormous heights! That's true complexity, not the brain farther stuff you talking about! Like walking everywhere in the real world is cool, it's not! Dude walked from one side of the country to the next! Thst's whack!
@@JEDIAL9 The first guy you replied to is a pretentious fool and you didn't get past the tutorial of a modern masterpiece and assumed you saw it all, the first game isn't that far from what this trailer showed, as you progress reach new zones and unlock many new mechanics, tools, weapons, exoskeletons, vehicles, infrastructure types to establish transportation networks and more to optimize your travels and keep the gameplay constantly evolving even until the last moment, there is also fights against bandits, separatist groups, antimatter ghosts, lovecraftian tar monsters and skeleton soldiers revived from the world wars.
And of course it's valid and respectable that Kojima's logistics game with shooting action and touches of horror isn't your cup of tea, but if you don't like it because it's supposedly just a boring walking simulator, you're hating a game that never existed.
Sad we won't get cool skeleton soldiers anymore.

i love to watch the game.. but to pplay a walking simulation....
I've described the fist DS as an Existential Walkabout (with Deliveries and a crazy "iceberg" story) - One highly worth immersing into (if you were to ever give one a shot). ALSO - it's 100% interactive with sensitive mechanics when moving/carrying items. Super fun gadgets to help you traverse the world. By the end or my play through I was zip lining and streamlining all of my deliveries. Killing is allowed... but you make you life much harder if you do.... the bodies become....problems. When YOU die you come back... but also create craters that create more detours for yourself. You can hoof it everywhere if you want... but you can put material in fabrication better travel for yourself. Again 100% real time interactive traversal/fabrication of most items/ maintenance or most things (some just deteriorate over time - thus needing back ups [SHOES - mainly]/ lethal and nonlethal weapon choices. Just saying.......COULD be called a walking simulation.... It's pretty much MOST INTERACTIVE one I've ever played. 😂 Which is why I'm totally playing DS2. Ohh and the SOUNDTRACK that unfolds while you play through the game.... 👌🏿ok ok.... I'm done. That's my pitch.
