that ignition issue is a fluke.... i run the same engine from "99 with oem coils and amplifier, and it still goes great down the road, only thing i replaced was sparkplugs, and yes the cam sensor will disable ecu from controlling n75(u will get @ 0.3 bar of boost instead of 0.6 or 0.7), i tested this by unplugging the sensor
Hi neil great video ! my 1.8t bfb (longitudinal) has developed a misfire, cures under revs, brutal idle, changed sparks and doesnt seem to be coilpack either, cant find an obvious vaccum leak, any thing you think could be causing it ??
Sorry for the reply, this got lost in the other messages. Can you tell which cylinder it is (let is idle then take out each spark plug... it will be the wet one). Have you managed to plug it into an OBD2 scanner?
@Totalitet injector mate, it's a 5 minute job to change all 4 of them, this was my first petrol car and I assumed the injectors were hard to get out like a diesel so i checked those last, think I picked up a second hand one for 20 quid, away she went.
Looks good
Thanks, its pretty good

Ignition issue was the amplifier. If I plugged the old one back in I got a misfire on No.3 again.

did you sell the car in the end?
Yes I did. It just wasn't getting used. I did about 500 miles in it, so it got a good shake down and any issues ironed out.
