@@doggofrs9651 Late reply, but an FRS isn’t anything to sneeze at, though! Just make sure the valve train issues were resolved, and you’re set.
The gt86 is a brilliant drivers car, the way you drift it round that corner! Love it

Good to see you are enjoying the GT86, and I recognised the area, had a few pints in the Greyhound when visiting friends in that village 😁
5 years in to ownership and I still love mine! I just love the way it goads you in to thrashing it and when you do thrash it, it's just so good!
Have you had many issues over they 5 years of ownership?
I have a 19 86 you're gonna love this car it's a joy to daily drive even
It’s now done it’s MOT so you got one year of illegal modifications 😂 Get a decat on it. And take it in for a stage 1 map. Then after that I’m a couple months when u have a bit more money go and turbo it 👍

Nice car dude, I bought 1 a ago to keep miles off my other cars.. and what a little thing it is. Like you said you can use all the power all the time and its just fun to drive.

Man maths at it's best, concerned about depreciation so buys another car that will depreciate even quicker, excellent.
Buying new is a mistake always

I got mine a year ago and yes it's a really fun car and it's easy to tune.
I managed to pull 436 hp and i am very satisfied!

Great choice, very underestimated car. Most people can’t get past the lack of power and speed which misses the point entirely.

I’m sure you will, but put proper thought into any wheel and tyre upgrades. Just by going from the Primacy HP2s to Pilot Sports 4 I ruined my 86 balance by giving it too much grip, it lost the ability to create low speed slip angles. That said, it was more useful in the wet
Definitely need to start doing mods soon.

Spending 10k on the gt86 (which will depreciate) wont offset the depreciation of the M140i. Surely your losing more now??
It's a bigger spend upfront, but come resale it should pan out.
Makes more sense to do more miles in a lower value car where it's coming towards the end of its depreciation cycle than the higher value one.
And besides if your in a position to have two cars then why not :)
@@joshuaparr3279 he wont lose 10k more because the M140i has an extra 20-30k miles on it. Plus he's then got to tax and insure both cars. But yeah, if you can afford two cars why not! Although he didnt say it like that he tried to justify needing two cars, neither of which is very practical.

Prefer the Toyota than the BMW.
Also I think all the mods you've done to the BMW will have a bigger impact on its depreciation than milage. What I mean is you'll not get back the money you have spent on them.

Nice video mate. I once owned a M135i and although very fast I found it a bit numb to drive. I currently own a 68 plate fiesta ST2 with the quaife diff and revo stage one. Very quick for what it is and extremely fun to drive. Maybe you could do a review of it?

Tbh bone stock gt 86 is the best. The tires are thin which allows 35 mph drifts!!!!!

Oh btw, the touch screen on these is crap. You want to install aftermarket one with car play and android auto immediately! I have a kenwood one and dude it makes this car so much better especially if you are a music lover with spotify subscription.
I’ve been toying between my next car. I test drove the 240i and fell in love with it aswell as the club blue 86 which also was a nice car. At the moment I’m between the 86 in the club blue and a 440i 🤔

The moment you can't buy a 36 year old corolla and if you decided to import it you can get 3 gt86s.

Edit: At first I thought it was a bit tame when you drove around normally. But as soon as you gave it the berries I could see in your expression it's fun to drive.

I actually smoked one of these in my old diesel ibiza haha. First thing has got to be to address the power! Supercharger or turbo kits will turn this into possibly the most fun you can buy for the money

Why would you wear a jacket inside your car? I always put the jacket inside the boot and if it's too cold turn the AC to the warm the car. Never had to wear a jacket in a car before.
