Carole, the new pillows add a touch of elegance to the room and the items they r placed on. The hand rail looks amazing, and the metal spindles painted dark gray with the gold accents is a home run in any book.
Thank you Carole, for showing how to make these bolster pillows!! I think I can do it. I personally like them without tassels, but it’s gorgeous either way. Love love love the stairs. Oh, how I wish you didn’t have to go back to U K…. This Chateau NEEDS YOU💖👍🏼🤗
Do love the tassels on the bolster pillows. A nice tie-in with the drapes. Very elegant. Carole, you are so multi-talented. So is Adrian. What a team you make!
Oh my goodness, I adore those pillows! The banister for the stairs, the railing it’s going to be gorgeous! I just love you guys! So many hugs from Utah, USA. You guys are my heroes!
I absolutely love the rose gold color pain on the tulips. Just beautiful! The stairs are so detailed! Really looks good! Oh and the bolster cushions are fabulous, I love the fringe
@@ЛарисаЗалевская-б6д- Hello from E Canada…I just wanted You to be ware that many of us are thinking and praying for You all. Love the tassels. Take care 🙏🏼🕊️
I was just watching Bordeaux life and Ed walked by their staircase which caught my eye with the gold accent. I love the full paint on the decorative part. Perfect use of the leftover fabrics for pillows. I agree the chairs need matching pillows if you have enough fabric left. It warms my heart that you are still putting so much love into the château. Thank you
Yes on both trims at the end because more is more beautiful. The hand rail is so unique with its spindles and now all waxed up is an asset to your hallway.
Carole, I think if the stair cap was cleaned really good, you could paint it too instead of buying another one…it would be worth a try…love, love, love the pillows you created from the scrap material. Love to you, Adrian, and Beth!
Next time you make the covered buttons, use a small running stitch to gather the fabric around the button and it will then push onto the teeth much more easily. I’ve made hundreds in my time and it works really well.
The salon is so beautiful just as grand if not more than it was originally. Love the curtains! Carole you are a talented lady and your husband is a gem
I’ve watched you from the beginning and this is still my favorite channel. I love the creative process! I like the tassels and how they tie into the curtains. Keep ‘em!
Carole I love your tassels! If you can do tassels in a chateau, when can you? You probably already know this but you can turn rectangular cushions into circular bolsters too. Just think Swiss rolls, Buche de Noel, jam roly poly, whatever you fancy. Whatever you do, it’ll be perfect. ❤
Carole you are at it again, waving your magic wand! The bolster cushions are beautiful and are a lovely addition to the Grand Salon seating furniture. You can splash lots of gold detailing around in a Chateau and never have too much - one of my two favourite things - gold detailing and chandeliers!! (Unfortunately I haven’t a Chateau, so I love watching your beautifying DIY.)
The "liquid gold" is brilliant on the balusters. Having used the linseed oil, the railing looks so rich now. I'm not opposed to the tassels on the bolster pillows, but they would look better in a more diminutive size. Of course, for economics, you used what you had on hand.
Awww! Carole! So nice to see you having such fun with your fabrics! The cushions are perfect! Absolutely LOVE the bannister refurbishment. The liquid gold tulip detail is divine!!!!
I just discovered your videos yesterday. I must say this has been such a labor of love. I enjoy the way you and your husband interact and joke with each other. It reminds me of my husband and I. I look forward to watching many more videos, your new friend from the U.S.
This was a fabulous episode. Carole the bolsters look beautiful for the salon. You are so creative. And I love how the banister is coming back to life. The gold paint is beautiful, you can see the detail much better. When you put “liquid gold” in your preview, I thought you were using a product over here in America called Liquid Gold. It is used to clean wood surfaces. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. Really enjoyed the episode. Thank you very much!! ❤
I agree with you. The rose gold looks much better and tones in nicely with the dark wood of the bannister. Lovely job on the pillow. Love your videos. Blessings from Australia.
Hi Carole, Adrian, and Beth, The pillows for the gold sofa look terrific with the leftover fabric and the tassels really give it that custom look with the matching handmade buttons. I do like the Rose Gold paint that you are using on the handrail detail, now to figure out what to highlight with the Rose Gold paint and what to leave dark to match the radiators. You may want to upgrade the brass finial at the bottom of the stairs with something in color to pick up the paint on the wall or a fancy crystal ball to finish off the project. Mark & Scott

Personally I’d rather keep the original ball, but I know what you mean 😊 Carole’s call !
I like the second gold you used best. Don’t do anything about the newel orb until you finish highlighting the rails. I believe the gold in the lighting will bring out more of the gold in your highlighting & all will blend beautifully!
I would paint the little ball above the tulip gold too, the posts look so much better grey and the wood rail is amazing. The tassels on the bolsters will not wear well and over time they will fray.
I adore that pillow! Especially the tassels!! ! What a wonderful job you have done. You are so talented Carole. I get sad when I watch your Vlog thinking about you selling the Chateau and not being able to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing!
Great episode! Now I know how to put the cloth on the button!! Ty!! I can’t wait for the staircase to be all done. It’s going to be beautiful. ! Lots of love from Tennessee!!
It reminds me of covering small buttons with moire satin for my wedding dress in 1973! I had an organza dress with moire satin bound hem plus a wide band for the waist with the buttons on the sleeves and to fix the waist band at the back. 👰♂️💒
@@jennifercampbell7698 I watched my grandmother make wedding dress, also for flower girl and braids made. Wow. She did some beautiful work!! Lots of love from Tennessee!!
Bolster Brilliant - Tassles are the go. Stairwell magnificent - second gold choice wonderful - does it makes you want to consider painting brass knob in the second gold too? 💛💛💛
Loving the Pillows with the tassels Loving the stairs, yes the shiny Gold as accents. I knew this would look great. along with the shiny waxed banisters. Are you bring is Tia back and forth with you on the boat every week?
I have so many shades of gold in my acrylic paints. I love them all, and use them all at different times. I definitely like the second gold you tried. It has a beautiful glow. The bolster cushions are incredible Carole! I have found sewing very difficult, and am in awe of what you can make. Your creativity is admirable xx Kelly
The pillows look fantastic and the reupholstered furniture is gorgeous. The gold accents are definitely in perfect taste. Gold is the best accent ever. Painstaking perfection in every corner of the house. ❤🎉
The pillows with the tassels look beautiful! I like the gold you selected for the staircase spindles but I would recommend replacing the gold newel post cap...? We love seeing what u do at both homes.😊
Thank you for filming Adrian. I like the new pillow without the tassels, its to much. The fabric button is just enough for me. The gold on the tulip is lovely. It gives just the right reflection. I bet Rob will send it to you Carole, he is such a nice guy.
Nice work Carole on all fronts!! Adrian you crack me up with the comedic commentary. Just when I think you’re going too far, you push it a little more!! The salon looks amazing!! What about some shear curtains in the middle to go with your gorgeous draperies? You can let the sun in and keep the drafts out while adding more elegance to those beautiful windows??? One famous designer once said, that if you question yourself about going too far or doing too much, then you already have. That was Coco Chanel. 😊
Wow Carole you have done it again the stair's look's lovely and the pillows add a classy and elegant look to the couch love it, you do have a eye for detail no doubt on that 😊 take care and see you both soon 💕🌼🤗
Love the second gold it bring out the details better. Great idea for the cushion. I don’t think the tassels are too much. I think you could go either way.
You probably already know this, but many of your viewers may not. Linseed oil soaked rags can spontaneously combust if not treated properly. I save empty paint cans for this purpose. Put the oil soaked rags in the can and add some water and then seal the can tightly. The can can be opened to dispose of future soaked rags in the same manner. Robert from New York
Surly you should take the Chateau of the market, because you care so much for each renovation you do and to leave it for someone else would be a wrench!!!
Carole, the new pillows add a touch of elegance to the room and the items they r placed on. The hand rail looks amazing, and the metal spindles painted dark gray with the gold accents is a home run in any book.

Oh wow. Just love watching you put it all together, Carol. You have such a flair for decorating, in fact you're a pro ❤
I think the tassels are a bit much. I like the material folded at the end with button in the middle. 😊
Fair enough!

I agree with your choice of gold paint for the stairs. That particular one has a touch of pink in it and softens the look.
Love how the stairs is coming alive!!! It makes me realize the actual state it was in long ago. Beautiful ❤

I prefer the bolsters without the tassels. I think the braid is lovely but think the tassels look cheap.

The tassels match the curtains. And I agree, if not in a chateau, then when can you ever do tassels. Tassels give it that extra punch-up in elegance!
Happy Sunday Carole and Adrian and Bethany
Carole. you and Terri must be feeling like Kindred Spirits both painting gold accents
We always seem to be doing the same jobs!
I really love how you've saved pieces that are useful for later projects. The buttons with the tassels and the trim give it such an elegant touch!
