I tell you what Jonny your videos are becoming one of my major tools in fishing , There isn't anyone who does it better then you as far as breaking things down and explaining why , when and how . Thank you
Bobby Fresh I completely agree. Other guides feel loose and I always leave questioning whether or not I actually learned anything. He puts everything in clear points. Great work
Dude this is gold. I finally understand what people are talking about with topo maps. Thats a great foundation to understand how to find bass. I was so lost before.
Can't say enough about your ability to explain difficult, or frustrating topics, in a manner that I can actually grasp, and even enjoy! Really appreciate the effort, and the generosity that you put into sharing these vids!
your videos on topo maps and using electronics is the most interesting fishing vids that i have come across. i have already found a spot on my lake and cant wait to give it a try. if this succeeds it will be a whole new beginning to bass fishing for me.
great job, learned alot. I am an old school angler, never fished off shore. Back in my day all we had were flashers. Today is a different world for bass fishing.
Just became a new subscriber! Love your stuff. Bought a used Tracker in May. Been trying to learn bass fishing all over the place. The quality of your videos and the clarity of the content is awesome. Thanks for helping teach this 'older dog' (52) some new tricks! Keep 'em coming!!
This is my second time watching this video and It helps by listening and opening up your lake at the same time and comparing area your gonna pre fish. Thanks bud for some awesome tips. Keep the video coming.
Johnny I just retired and got a new depth finder with Down n side scan and found your videos wow you describe it in such an easy way I can actually understand so when I get out I'm know what I'm looking at ill defiantly have an advantage defiantly will be checking out your other videos out for sure keep up the excellent work
Johnny just started watching and subscribed to your videos. Very nice job of breaking things down and your use of color graphics are very beneficial. Hope to use your knowledge to catch more bass on Lake Barkley.
Thanks for the wealth of knowledge in every video Jonny! I recently got the Hook2 Tripleshot and still beat the banks. When going from one spot to another on a few lakes near me, i constantly pass over offshore spots that show tons of fish just to get to my next bank spot that looks good. 2 days in a row on different lakes I caught 0 bass. But next time im out on my boat, im gonna try to fish off shore like you explained. Thanks for encouraging me to try a new approach to fishing!🤘
Can you make a video on fishing small rivers. Like 60 to 80 feet side to side and besides wood where they would sit related to current. Thanks for the great videos.
Wish this guy got into walleye fishing instead. Would watch everyone of his videos haha. Great job explaining creek channels. Some lakes will not have much for creek channels.
Thanks for the great info, summer in Texas is hot my partner insist on always fishing shallow but the fish aren't very good size. I'm gonna try and prove to him we need to move deeper,Thanks
Um, Topographic maps are land maps that show elevation contours & spot heights above sea level on them. These maps MAY also show some bathymetric contours & some spot depths below sea level. Navionics uses bathymetric charts that show charted depths & depth contours below sea level. They MAY show some land features (usually objects & spot heights like lighthouses, water & radio towers, stacks, chimneys, prominent hills etc, that can be seen by mariners at a distance & and are useful for determine distance & position.
Man. Your video give me alot of information! Keep it up. I'm learning alot. Can you do a video of how to screen setup helix 7 si and how to use it because I'm new to fish finder. Thank you
This is great information. If you don't mind me asking, what microphone do you use when you make your videos? I am, specifically, asking about when you are out on your boat? Thank you
Clear mountain reservoir. Stream fed. Trout migrate from rivers and end up as largemouth food. Best 8-10 inch swimbait to mimic a rainbow or brown trout?
Great video, what about a small lake (900 surface acre) with a large amount of shallow water and aquatic vegetation? Do u still think bass would be located or use the creek channel, as opposed to the extensive vegetation. Thanks!
I'd say locate them on the FF and drop shot straight down. Not much techniques will get ur bait down that deep, unless if the fish are suspended, use a lipless crankbait, again, depending on how far down the fish are.
I really enjoyed this video, I would have like more if you would have included approximate water temperatures and the reason I say that is because not all state waters are created equal except that the Bass will be in those stages according to temperatures. Example is that I am in Wyoming so My "Winter" is a little colder than other states and comes in on different months..like October in Oklahoma, Wyoming or Florida all have different temps.. Just noting that for your future vids.. thanks for sharing Jonny.. Your friend Johnny Quest.

Hey Jonny I like everything you say location and I wondered about the summer can you please about summer please 🐟🐟
Funny how hooked on one video one can be. I am watching this as often as it takes to become second nature. Its gonna be a long week lol
Really nice fish!, what lake do you fish?
Great video, what about a small lake (900 surface acre) with a large amount of shallow water and aquatic vegetation? Do u still think bass would be located or use the creek channel, as opposed to the extensive vegetation. Thanks!
If you where a stock on the martket Id invest- I can see your 3k subs skyrocketing!
Great video, when your main river channel and creek channel intersections are deep (40+) how do you fish those?
I'd say locate them on the FF and drop shot straight down. Not much techniques will get ur bait down that deep, unless if the fish are suspended, use a lipless crankbait, again, depending on how far down the fish are.
