It’s episodes like this that really reinforce my decision to never skip the intros. Such hilarity. Also, bravo for having 4 really cool, unique decks in the Randharmonicon. They all got to shine at different points, which makes it an ideal commander game.
@35:58 the decimate and burning inquiry double cast was such delight. "let's all go on an adventure" lol - especially loved the "no mah wall" from Justin. Well Played and thoroughly enjoyable content!
I love you guys. With other magic channels it feels like I'm being talked down to like a child. Everything you guys do comes off so genuine. Silly yet respectful, informative but not annoyingly in your face
John puts 83 power on the board in one turn, demonstrating a loop that he pretty much can do endlessly, also if the creature even die he wins. Steven attacks him "Your targeting me". Suprised Pikachu face
A Beer Sandwich has been my Xbox gamertag for the last 3 years, I have never heard those words be said outside of that until this video, I am Shocked 1:22:17
I know this is an old video I’m watching but when John is starting his risen reef triggers those lands are supposed to enter tapped. Which also means he wouldn’t have been able to fetch with the windswept heath that turn.
Guys! I have watched all episodes of Commander Vs, and since the intro song has changed I, no matter where I am, no matter what time it is, do a fist cheering pumping (my wife already got used) and this was no different ...but the new intro pics, where so great that I almost didn't do it, just for staring ! Anyway, l am still watching, but I needed so put this here! Great fan! Hoping one day join a game with you, then one of my thousand dreams will be fulfilled (or at least a mention on the video! Hahaha)!
@34:24 shouldn't the tokens be able to attack anyone because they aren't being declared as attackers and just enter trapped and attacking? I know that's how it works with ghostly prison type effects
For effects that say "tapped and attacking", you still have to declare who they are attacking and that declaration is when you pay the cost. For effects that say "tapped and attacking TARGET PLAYER", the target is already assigned as part of the effect and you skip the cost because declaring who the defender is gets skipped... IIRC.
Does anybody remember the deck somebody played that involves "commander tribal?" The cards are some of the cards that focus on the fact that you're playing with multiple people because you're playing with things that have Will of the Council or things that give opponents a choice of something. I feel like it was a mystery deck day.
hereth37 no, the ruling states that you just need legal targets when casting the spell. If a target becomes illegal then decimate still resolves it just doesn’t effect the illegal target.
Derrick Blanke close, you need all legal targets to cast the spell, that part is correct, but if all targets are illegal when the spell tries to resolve, it doesn’t resolve and just gets put in the graveyard
If I was any good at photoshop I would make the Colossal from Attack on Titan in pain and screaming that the walls were too tough to fall. Such a great episode.
For the next chaosiseum, could you guys pick the commanders you put in the middle, but let the people who get them build the decks? Give everyone an equal chance, but see some odd commanders
When Stephen said "land of the dead, field of the dead" in that cadence, a part of me really hoped he would have said "dead, dead, dead, dead, dead" and then broke out in Darude.
I miss commander games like this, when EDH was actually a pile of jank instead of the hyper streamlined , "our main product" driven garbage that is current commander
The Great Aurora Rulings 6/22/2015 The number of cards you draw is equal to the number of permanents on the battlefield that you shuffle into your library plus the number of cards from your hand that you shuffle into your library. 6/22/2015 A token is owned by the player under whose control it entered the battlefield. Tokens shuffled into a library count toward the number of cards drawn, though they cease to exist upon becoming part of a library. Regardless of what you’re using to represent tokens, you won’t shuffle that physical object into your library. 6/22/2015 If a player is required to draw more cards than their library contains, that player loses the game. If all players lose the game this way, the game is a draw. 6/22/2015 As The Great Aurora resolves, first you choose any number of land cards in your hand to put onto the battlefield, and then each other player in turn order does the same. The lands enter the battlefield simultaneously. Tokens should have counted toward everyone's card draw. I stopped watching when they didn't just ask the director to check Gatherer. Did they address this later in the game?
Yes pretty sure director Kyle even checked Gatherer (he did for that or pulse of the llanowar) but they did get it right basically right after you seem to have stopped watching
Gah, I think I hit the right arrow key a few too many times and probably skipped over it. Stephen didn't look like he had enough lands in play/cards in hand when I stopped so I wasn't sure if it had been addressed or not. Thanks for letting me know!

56:00 You definitely get to count your commander for The Great Aurora then put it in command zone as a replacement effect.
Line of the Game @ 1:26:00...
Steven Green: "I'll flip this table."
Pulse of the Llanowar
10/4/2004 You can choose the same color of mana the land would normally produce.
They would have realised this, if they had read the card while their brains were turned on.
Yeah, it's just a replacement effect that cuts "(T) Add (G)." (etc) and pastes "(T) Add one mana of any color."
Director kyle informed them that's how it works at 27:11
Stephen can put the warriors in attacking anyone, “may only attack” only restricts attack declaration
They caught the mistake around 28:00
Big Fan of the Intro on this Video! Keep up the good work Gents.
Game start at 16:29
The sauce 😎🤙
I love you guys. With other magic channels it feels like I'm being talked down to like a child. Everything you guys do comes off so genuine. Silly yet respectful, informative but not annoyingly in your face
Jeremy is the best. He always looks like hes having a blast.
The very first season you guys each had a deck selected for both “random” videos. I will never forget the Phage deck piloted by Wes!!!
John puts 83 power on the board in one turn, demonstrating a loop that he pretty much can do endlessly, also if the creature even die he wins. Steven attacks him "Your targeting me". Suprised Pikachu face
ooh love the new thumbnail
A Beer Sandwich has been my Xbox gamertag for the last 3 years, I have never heard those words be said outside of that until this video, I am Shocked 1:22:17
36:35 Jeremy destroys Stephens enchantment and he never removes it!
I was looking for this. Thought I missed something. But it just happened like you said.
However, he did remove it 47:30.
I cant get over Justin's lifeless stare in the intro. so perfect
yeah, it looks like he's desperately trying to keep in a fart while on a date or something
I know this is an old video I’m watching but when John is starting his risen reef triggers those lands are supposed to enter tapped. Which also means he wouldn’t have been able to fetch with the windswept heath that turn.
27:16 Uh excuse me Justin, the upside down position is Confused.

at 1:43:30, Justin's creatures deal damage equal to their defense, right? High Alert?
Pulse of Llanowar does not prohibit you from tapping a land for a mana that it would normally produce. It can still produce that color.
John should not have had enough mana to cast titania because the island should have been tapped already.
Is there a list for the Golos deck? the link in the description didn't work for me
wish they would just reprint pulse of llanowar... the enchantment lets you tap forest for green...
Was most excited to see Wort Spellslinger deck!!! ~Thanks Jeremy
One of the best episodes ever, love it.
If i don't see the return of bearded jeremy next week i swear to god...
"Bearded"
Are those Boulders, where you keep the decks in? Such nice containers, switching to those right now....
I just learned that star city games is near where i live and im excited to go there
So did ruling change on hybrid mana? Otherwise idk how he could have blind obedience in the Pramikon deck?
Reminder text is not regarded while considering card's color identity.
Technically, Blind Obedience is mono-white card.
Great Video! Have enjoyed you guys for a long time now. Go Team Gold!
how does one submit fanart to the channel?
Jeremy need a Beard
Chaos can be so fun
how do we submit deck list to people??
Justin's glasses and the mic chord make him look like he has an old-person style glasses chain. If only he had worn a cardigan instead of a hoody.
So why didn't Jon target Justin and when Justin goes to kill beast within the creature?
Good job Green, nice try with that steaming pile of Randamonym
wouldn't one of those decimates have fizzled since one of it's targets was hexproof?
hereth37 no, the ruling states that you just need legal targets when casting the spell.
No as the creature has already been Targeted
I love playing the Great Aurora off my Golos EDH.
love to see it folks!!!! Commander is such a fun format, and brawl isn't bad but it goes by too quick.
Wish there had been one white bordered version of each type of basic land in Jon's deck. His head would have exploded!!! Lol
I figured out what Stephens deck is....... it’s ginger tribal...... I’m losing it
Literally dying of laughter.
What about the choasosseum?
I'm ready for Stephen to get sacrificed to zombies again
Am I dumb or did John use field of the dead wrong
Does the ginger deck have freyalise and fyndhorn elves, also birds of paradise is technically a ginger.
Mr. Green should have used the buy a box promo as the commander
Really fun game :) enjoyed to watch it
Jon passed on via flailing by olive branch. Wall stax ftw.
I want to see a Randharmonicon episode with all Chaos decks. Let things get real Janky
Oooh shinny new intro
The trigger nonsense on johns turns
Jeremy is double my favorite player bc he referenced the swords comic. XD
When Stephen said "land of the dead, field of the dead" in that cadence, a part of me really hoped he would have said "dead, dead, dead, dead, dead" and then broke out in Darude.
Another day in the neighborhood, another day in the neighborhood.
Idk if this is a thing but could someone build a deck that's meant to kill people and then save them. Rack up points XD
Isn't Blind Obedience illegal on Justin's deck? Extort has black/white hybrid mana
The hybrid mana of Extort is purely in reminder text, and isn't actually on the card, ergo does not contribute to color identity.
No the hybrid mana is not actually on the card it's in reminder text witch from a legal perspective is not part of the cards color identity
That is reminder text and doesn't count for color identity.
A card could be printed that just says "Extort" on it without the reminder text, so as these people said, we ignore the reminder text mana symbols.
what happen to justins cups?
I love watching Justin NOT play black. I could go for a whole season where justin plays NO black in any of his decks.
Random topic, but bring back alphabet soup! 😁 (the game mode you guys did in season 3)
Jonathan was triggering field of the dead wrong it's only when a land comes into play under his control that he gets a zombie token
But that's exactly what he did?
Binging and make a commando cube🤩😎🤪
Sent your Ventinels to Stephen!
Game starts at 5:34
Not at all
Currently I play k'rrik demon tribal
Jeremy became my favorite this episode, sorry Team Green. He's having such a good time AND he shouted out SwordsComics
This was a great game
steve forgot to get rid of his enchantment...
Gulps im in danger
Fantastic
Stephen complaining about the people who got spared attacking him.... what a hypocrite
I miss commander games like this, when EDH was actually a pile of jank instead of the hyper streamlined , "our main product" driven garbage that is current commander

Stop letting people live Stephen

What is accomplished by putting questions marks in the title?
That is, other than baiting people with an unknown factor.
It builds tension for the spin reveal. We don't see what the Commanders are until they do.
First?
just started watching it, but does anyone else want to slap someone when they say "convoke" instead of "conspire"?
